To make matters worse, there was almost zero communication about the status of my order, and my food sat completed behind the counter for quite a while before anyone finally handed it to me (didn't know at the time). When I finally got the food, it was just okay--nothing special--and the high prices felt completely unjustified given how small the portions were. It might pass if you just happen to be in the immediate area and need a quick fix, but the lack of service standards means you are better off looking elsewhere. Cons: The service is incredibly slow for takeout, communication is poor, and your food may sit forgotten on the counter while dine-in tables are prioritized. Sat down and table was sticky. Didn't get water until before we left and it taste like chlorine. Service was mid even tho our server was very nice. The customer service was incredible here. I normally stay away from fusion restaurants and this happened to be the closest place that was open at the time we were looking to eat dinner. I think the food was very good. I have never had Singaporean style noodles in the US and was surprised to see it on the menu. I asked to make it spicy but it was not very spicy so they were able to bring out a small bowl of chili oil that I could add and it definitely helped me get the kick I was looking for. We were here for a lunch to celebrate my niece's graduation. We had a party size of almost 20 people. I think this warranted is having two servers, but we only had one. She seemed like she tried her best, but the service was somewhat lacking. I truly believe it was because she needed some help. She placed good in front of a few of us that wasn't ours. For example, my husband ordered hibachi. I ordered fried sushi and soup. She placed a soup in front of him. He thought it was his because miso soup is usually served with hibachi. When she brought out my sushi later, I asked where my soup was and she was like....oh, I put it there (pointing in front of my husband). She asked if I wanted another soup. I told her not to worry about it because it took so long to just get my sushi. My husband asked for no veggies with his meal. She brought out his food with veggies. There were other things across our party. Again, I think if she had help, some of these errors could have been avoided. The food was good though. First official lunch of our Fairhope vacation! My party of four had a fried food extravaganza, and we freaking LOVED IT. So glad I managed because the best was yet to come ... I chose the Veggie Lo Mein - this one 100% hit the spot. It was soooooooooo exceptionally good. Probably the best I've ever had. So flavorful and noodle-y. Heaven on the plate. My husband chose the Wok by d'Bay Sushi Roll - this was a tempura fried roll with tempura shrimp and cream cheese, topped with spicy mayo, teriyaki glaze, and crawfish. He really, really liked this. Probably even 3+ reallys. We enjoyed our lunch here very much. We typically don't do Asian food while on vacation (not sure why), but what an absolute surprise this was! Clean and convenient in the heart of the Fairhope shopping district. It was a bit empty when we visited for a late lunch on a weekday, but the food came quick and our server was also attentive. The hot and sour soup is okay, they do not have the crispy wonton strips so keep that in mind if you usually prefer to eat hot and sour soup with them. Highly recommend. The location is spacious and airy. The staff if very friendly and go out of their way to assist you. This location is owned by the owner of Master Joe's and Shanghai Cottage. This place is beyond clean! I think they must wash every single hanging glass in this place. I would eat off the floors. So I chose to sit at the bar. Tom the bartender was beyond attentive and amazing. Tom is a total gem to this establishment. But then, all of the staff were amazing. The food was excellent. I had Miso soup and a upgraded salad with their homemade ginger dressing. If I weren't in public, I swear I would have taken the salad bowl and drank that dressing like a beverage. I was visiting from out of town and was looking for dinner for the night. I was in the mood for Asian cuisine. I saw what looked to be an upscale Asian restaurant and looked at the menu and decided to try it out. I ordered a sushi roll and Kung pao chicken with white rice. I got there right when they opened, so I was taken care of pretty quickly. I got it and headed to my hotel room so I can do some work while eating. I took everything out and it looked and smelled good. The only thing at that point was that they gave me fried rice and I checked my receipt and it said white rice. Sushi was good with clean taste and the Kung pao was good but for a fancy restaurant, it tasted almost as good as my local Chinese take out that I can get for less than 1/2 the price of theirs. My wife and I had lunch here today. We both had the Singaporean noodles:hers with chicken and mine with beef. We also shared the spring rolls. All in all, it was a very good experience. The restaurant was very clean and well appointed. Our server was excellent and the food was very good. The spring rolls were delicious and they had a "Joe's Soy" that was less salty and seemed a bit citrusy like a little ponzu was added. Very nice touch. The chili paste/oil was not as hot as I would have preferred, but I like Thai Hot hot. Prices were certainly reasonable as well and my wife had enough left for lunch tomorrow. We will definitely return. For 5 stars, you really have to knock it out of the park. But please give this place a try. I can't speak to what we haven't tried. read more

My Ramen broth was tasty, but the tomato that was added (?), the shrimp with tails, and the over-cooked, hard boiled egg left me underwhelmed. The rib appetizer was delish, but the hubs' noddles where just ok also. I, having had a stellar visit to Master Joe's, came in expecting the sun, moon, and stars! I was here the first couple weeks this place opened well before pre COVID. Came back today and it's CHAOS. It's such a great location and decorated well but the music is like a local radio station and they have the HGTV channel on the one TV when you have MLB, NHL and NBA playoffs on. The crab rangoons didn't have a strong crab taste, which I was totally fine with because I'm not a huge fan of crab. Also, the chicken and yum yum sauce were divine! Beautiful restaurant. It was worth being there just to enjoy the location with a view of the lights on the trees outside. The waiter was very attentive and nice. Three stars because the food was subpar. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, which was just okay. It was presented really well. We both had a sushi roll which was fine, although I felt mine was overpriced given its size and contents. The most disappointing thing about what we ordered was the tom yum soup -- the broth tasted like hot water that was leaning toward having a taste and contained pieces of vegetables and a couple of shrimp. The shrimp in my husband's bowl were not deveined and he had to clean them himself. Overall, beautiful spot in downtown fairhope.
