If you need/are looking for rare JDM parts he can get them for you! Masa and his staff can do everything from underglow, to tune ups, to vinyl wraps. I enjoy stopping by Masa's shop if not for any business just to talk stories. Masa is a business man, but he is also a family man. Fantastic business 10/10 would recommend for all levels of auto enthusiast. Would give 0 stars if I could. It's been almost a year since I've ordered side splitters (paid $400+) for my Impreza and they "never came". I ordered in May 2022 & it's April 2023. I keep asking for updates or options (like a refund) but it's to the point where they won't respond to me so they're literally just keeping my money & I've seen their reviews where they've done that to other people. Like if it got lost from wherever you ordered it, how about you do something about it??? You're just gonna rip people off & keep our money & not respond to us??? Find or finish our shit or give us the money back. That's not even all, I actually spent about $1k total because ordered other parts that came in & I got those installed even though they were all supposed to go on together... Of course they weren't the right fitment because at this point I agree with all the people calling them clowns that don't know what they're doing... But they drilled all that shit on anyway without letting me see first. Whenever I asked for pics of the parts before I got it installed, they said they didn't have any. Anyway, the front lip doesn't match the angles on my bumper so it's probably for a different year Impreza and the mud flaps are obviously wrong too, there are floating screws that went through the mud flap but have nowhere to go on the car so they're just... There screwed into "thin air" LMAO literal joke. I can't even fathom it. What if the screws fall off & get stuck in my tire??? Literally never doing business here again & I suggest you don't either. Such a shame that they used to be a such good "name" in Hawaii but obviously they've gone downhill. I wanted to do so much with my car & would've given them so much business. I even wanted to full-body wrap my car & a lot of my friends said "I heard Tokyo Auto-" but the way I cut them off & told them my story & their reactions... Don't let the location steer you away, these boys are professionals, and will ensure your installation gets done the right way, the first time! I had vinyl wrap work and custom deals installed on my domestic sports car. In my case, it did mean extending the time by a day, however, i did not mind, as I understand unforeseen problems, and would rather something done right, than a shop that rushes to complete by cutting corners. Tips: Your best option is to ask questions if you're lost or curious. Parking/Entrance: There are 6 stalls (3 stalls for the store) in front of the door. Don't park on the right side of the garage, that's their neighbor's parking. The main door is blacked out with tint, but don't be fooled. If there are cars, there are people. Parts: You'll basically find an arrangement of parts around the store. Most of them will be for aesthetics, but they do, however, have some performance parts available. If you can't find what you're looking for right away, just ask one of the employees. There are also various universal parts in the store as well. Most special order parts require a 75% deposit before it gets shipped over. Service: This team does go out of their way to find you the part you're looking for as long as it's not unusually rare or they'll at least point you in the right direction if they can't help. You probably won't be able to find people as helpful in getting you want you are looking for. Installations can be done by request with an additional labor cost. If not, they can recommend a shop to go to. Overall: It may be a little further away from the shops set up around kakaako or in town, but I can vouch for their service and competitive pricing. They're tied in with other teams/companies around the island that can help you with other things as well so the key would be to ASK. read more

At the end of April 2022, I brought my car to Tokyo Auto on Waipahu for Wrapping after they changed our schedule from mid-April to the end of April. They told us that my car would be done by 1,5 weeks. They said to call us when they finish. 2 weeks later, they didn't call us, so I had to call to check if my car had finished yet! And they said they just did half work, they needed more time and told us when finished, they would call us again( wth). They didn't let us know the exact date! I have to call them back and ask them what exact date my car finished, And they said the next Friday. ( total 3 weeks, not 1.5 weeks). On May 13 2022 I got my car but lacked the badge in the front and back truck. I asked them and they said they bought material to wrap my badge in black so I have to wait more than 3 weeks for their material. I felt a bit confused and pissed but I had no choice. When we came home, I found out that my wrap had a lot of defects. The wrap was peeled off by itself after 1 week, some areas they work very carelessly. I called them to complain and required them to fix their work. They promised they will check and fix them plus give me my badge back when the material comes to their store. After 3 weeks, they didn't call us as they promised, I had to call them to ask for my badge and they said the package still had not arrived, they will call when it comes( this time I felt really shit about this business) keep promising and do nothing. I asked them to give me what date, I can't wait any longer! And they said we can bring my car to their store on Thursday 9 JUNE, they could finish in 1 week! Before going there, I did stick the blue tag on every defect, so they can check it easily! However, after we left, they took off all my blue tags and left my car outside all day until they closed their store. They moved my car inside repeatedly every day. They did nothing to my car! NOTHING. when I came to pick up my car on 17 June and all defects were still there except blue tags removed . PLUS, MY BADGE DID NOT INSTALL BACK. I really feel so frustrated and I have no word for this shit. They have really bad service. They alway make a lot of promises and never focus on their job, they just want to keep your vehicle there and do another vehicle at the same time, until the last day of the project, they start to do your car with their best carelessest. My husband called directly to the boss of Tokyo auto, he asked us to give him only 4 days. He will take off all my old wrap and wrap a new one for me, if not, he will give our money back. I decided this is the last time and brought my car to their store on 22 June. 4 days later, they called us to say that the new material was damaged and could we be willing to wait for new material ?(this is really b...sh..) Of course I have to take my money back and require them to give my car back to normal. The last day, the boss of Tokyo auto admitted that my original badge was broken ( how can He lied about waiting for material to wrap my badge in the beginning), he said he offered a new one at the Tesla store and wait to more 3 weeks to come back and he installed a fake badge temporary for me. Guess! Do you think you can trust them one more time? absolutely NO.. today is the end of July and I tried to call them but they ignored my call and responded to my message on Instagram 1 time that they didn't know when my badge arrived( sound funny) . They completely ignored my badge. I learned a lesson for this shit experience. I just wanna warning if someone is looking information about this business. Please, don't be like me. Don't waste money for a business that never respects their customer. I wasted a lot of time there for nonsense, my car damage, losing my badge, a small scratch on my front truck that was covered by white paint so I did not realize when I picked up my car. Put $1000.00 down to finish my car wrap and told these guys I'd be available after they moved to their new location down the street. I had received no calls from Masa or his guys to schedule the appointment. I called them 2 months later and they said they were settled in their new location. So I had scheduled 2 weeks out. A couple days before my appointment I had called them and let them know I had Covid and was not able to make the appointment. They said to call when I'm better. I called them after I was sick with Covid and said they needed to call me back because their schedule is really busy. Had no call from them at all. Waited a month. So I called and asked for a refund and out of the $1000.00 I put down, they were willing to refund me back $100.00! Mind that my car is a tiny Toyota Matrix and I had already paid and wrapped my hood, top and spoiler. Masa said that they could give me the wrap that ilI had paid for and they will keep the full $1000.00. Fuck that! Tokyo Auto installed my retrofit projector headlights for my truck. They rewired my setup to connect the halos in my headlights to the halos in my fog lights. Went to this shop to get my caliper covers installed and did not receive the best customer service. I did not think that installing the MGP Caliper Covers were that labor intensive (at least it's not supposed to be according to MGP's installation guide). I get there and they quote me a price, i question the price because i feel as though it was a bit high for something that takes about 30-45 minutes to complete. He then tells me that i can leave and go somewhere else if I'm so concerned about the price. In the end, i let them install the covers because I didn't want to drive all around town trying to find someone to put them on. My car looks amazing....but due to their poor customs service, I will never return. read more

Went in to have my lights changed to HIDs and fog lights changed out as well, one fog light was yellow and the other was orange. After bringing it back robert decided to tell me nothing was wrong and it was my lens discoloration but I still waited for my turn signals to come in after all a few more phone calls mesa (the owner) told me that the manufacturers bulb or ballast or something is defective and one burns hotter then the other which is why it's two different color. I then agreed to wait for my turn signal bulbs so they could install it at the same time... at this point it's been over two months for two sets of bulbs and I've driven down there 3 times mind you I live quite far and I chose them only because of their great reviews on Yelp so I've decided to quite frankly set my final apptmnt and have them try to fix my fog light one more time and then I'll be calling it a loss!!! Don't use these guys unless your friends with them because their customer service sucks, they don't return calls EVER even when they tell you they will, they will forget about you, and will blame your stuff when there is nothing wrong with it!!!! read more

Yes great place, great guys, and of course great stuff to make you car stand out. Just don't believe them when they say aftermarket HIDs are street legal. Great for track and off road but not street legal no matter the color. You don't want your safety inspection and recon taken away and go through all that all over again especially if you have to take off from work or school to get it back plus going to court. Paid $40 to get my safety but all for nothing since it got taken away and had to get recon in the end anyway and yup the recon guys said any HID conversions are not street legal! :-( Buy everything else of course! read more

Made an appointment a week early with someone there and told them my situation and that sat is the only day I could get the hid put in for a few months and he said he will hold the kit till sat and to come around 12 for the install. So today's the day I went to take it in and what do you know...they sold the kit and don't have any in stock. Fucking great. Tried to give these guys business but won't anymore. They installed HID kit on 9/1/16, then last night (1/19/17) I noticed my right HL wasnt on. Called Masa, he said to come in... there was a defect with the ballast. It's cool to see a shop close by selling body kits and stuff but my experience here wasn't great at all. Charge 90 bucks each side to roll my fender and nothing happen the first time! Went there again still was the same! My girlfriend went there and she told me they have to cut a little of the fender so it won't rub. But still rubbed! Price was really competitive, best I could find without going to ebay or other sketchy online outlets.
