Instead of just installing it and leaving us to deal with potential problems later, they brought the issue to my attention and explained the long-term concerns they've seen with that particular brand. Thankfully, they offered a solid alternative - a leveling kit they regularly use with great results - and gave me the choice with NO PRESSURE. That kind of honesty and proactive service showed they genuinely care about their customers' long-term satisfaction, not just making a quick sale. After the install, one of the staff members personally walked us out to the truck, introduced the new tires and lift setup, and patiently answered our questions. Came here a few years ago while waiting for my PT appointment and wanted to look around and see what this shop had to offer. Immediately I was greeted by the owner Michael and told me welcome in take a look around and ask any questions if any if any. The store had absolutely everything you would want for your truck lights and off road stuff in my case my Toyota Tacoma so I had bought a simple TRD grille w/raptor lights to get started and they took care of me over there. Ever since I've been coming back for new things like new tire and wheel sets, lighting on my truck headlights and taillights and soon a new bed cover they take care of you there. Absolutely the best customer service I have received from any company. I was referred by a friend who said they were GREAT , and the referral was spot on. They called me right back after I had called before they had opened. They were friendly when we talked about what I needed. Huge surprise that they had what I needed in stock and were able to fit me in same day for installation. When I got there everyone working there was kind and polite to my self and all the other customers that cycled through. My car got everything taken care of with such attention to detail and they did it quickly. Let me just start by saying that this is probably my 3rd review on Yelp and I only do it if I received really shitty service or really great ones. In this case, best off-road place in Oahu, hands down! Mike and the crew has assisted me with my Tacoma and now my 4Runner. I tell EVERYONE to come here not only because of their knowledge but the experience you get plus it's a legit candy shop with all the options they have. I've never had a retail shop know me by my name but lemme tell you it's probably because I've been there MANY times and it's probably not the last. I even convinced my sister and my friend to get a Toyota so I'm sure they'll be at MJs soon. I have MANY reasons to list why I would recommend this place but I'll tell a few reasons. I got screwed over with an alignment and after doing it, my tires were rubbing really bad even with the CMC but I called MJs and they got that fixed for me the very next day. I had all my car parts before my 4Runner arrived and I wanted to change my shocks from Icon to Kings, from 285s to 295s and thankfully Michelle assisted me with ALL my transactions of going back and forth ( SORRY). My sister's just got some wheels/tires for her 4Runner (black) and they were able to squeeze her in on that same week and only charged half of what other people were quoting us! I also tried installing my headlights by myself but didnt wire one of them correctly and when I took my car in for a different installation, the crew ended up fixing that for me What off-road place has demo vehicles with all their equipment that you can see first hand? I understand it's a small shop as i own a small business myself but i do try to take the time to talk about requirements with my clients. I have texted and called about lighting and feel that they are short and tell you everything on the website is up to date and to come into the shop to talk to them. Went into the shop to talk to them, maybe. I had to ask, I think it was a customer service person for help (and if he wasn't then I understand why service was the way it was) explained my needs then ask about the various lights. I didn't feel to confident on the answers then Michelle, I assume, came back and tried to help for a little bit. I say a little bit since she helped show me some lights on her truck then also tell me the best light output was a 4banger but then went off to do something else. I wasn't certain if she was still trying to help me by setting something up to see light output or what. It would have been awesome if she did but i wasn't certain. A simple,"hey I'll try to hook these up for you," or some form of communication would have helped. She did come back in and tell me I had to move my car since parking is limited which i just told her i maybe back. For sure park on the street or I will probably park next door at a shop I know IF I go back. I came here off a recommendation from a friend and wanted to buy the lights but after that experience all I can say is WOW. Edited 1/24: Glad Michael can rebut my comment on here fully but not me in person, nor any apology. I gave two stars for the variety of products and zero stars for service as can be seen from the comment Michael left. I asked about other lights but then Michelle told me some 4banger was the brightest so I was about to get those but then was told I had to move my vehicle. I inquired about replacing my oem sidesteps for my 2018 4runner through Instagram. I got a response quickly and was told I can come by 11 to 4pm and it would only take 30 minutes. I went in on July 5th and saw a crowd by the entrance so I expected to have a long wait. Staff was super friendly and I was acknowledged immediately. With 2 kids in tow I waited for the install.
