I've eaten here quite a few times and can't find any pictures (I shouldn't have waited so long to review them). The very first time I ordered their sushi I was surprised at how small they were. Then I fell in love with the bite sized sushi and how simple and fresh it always is. I can actually finish a roll here because the size is kid friendly. I usually order my boyfriend the teriyaki beef and chicken, their lo mein and fried rice which is good. Everything I've had on the menu was good except for the crazy amount of bell peppers and onions that was in the Mongolian steak. The quality and customer service goes hand and hand here. They've never messed up my order and they always have it hot and ready quickly. This is a place you call and do takeout at, the only people inside are the staff and customers waiting on orders. So don't be surprised at half of the chairs being put up on the tables. read more

I have to I was very disappointed . I ordered spicy orange chicken with egg fried rice , vegetable tempura & egg drop soup . The spicy orange chicken had no spice or flavor and the chicken was very tough . The rice seemed like it was old and was very dark in color . The egg drop soup didn't have much flavor either and my side salad had lots of brown pieces of lettuce . Tempura was good . Tiny place, three tables for 4 people and two more tables for 2. Order at the counter, not waiter service but if you eat in they bring you the food. With the other classic Asian foods the place reminded me of one of the tiny Chinese diners. Food Drinks - Bottled water, Dasini. Lunch - We ordered four rolls, the price was very reasonable. I love the little amount of rice. These are some of the cheaper rolls that we ordered; Philly, Tuna, and California Special. The pricy one was the Volcano and well worth it. QUALITY WAS PRETTY GOOD FOR CHEAP AND QUICK [Warning: young adults from Central Florida here for just a visit] The better bang for the buck were the regular sushi options which seemed to average from $3.50-$4 a roll no matter whether it was raw or cooked. Specialty rolls were around $7. If you had a sushi craving, this was a great way to fill up without going broke. Our spicy tuna wasn't dinky in size either. Obviously the quality matched the price. UDON DISHES WERE ON THE SALTY SIDE We also tried the House Udon Stir Fry as well as the House Udon Soup. We received a mountain of food with plenty of leftovers for the next day. Unfortunately, both these items were very salty and we were crazy thirsty while eating it. Perhaps a combo of these qualities made me tire of the dish very fast. Came here for late lunch and the place was completely empty, I think most people order food to go but we decided to eat there. For appetizer, we got the steamed dumplings, which were great. I loved them and totally recommend ordering a plate, which is enough to share between two people. For sushi, we got the oyster roll which was good too. My friend loved it! For entree, we decided to share the chicken teriyaki, which comes with rice and a side salad. It was good except the amount of teriyaki sauce was way too much for the amount of meat and vegetables in it. I wish it had more chicken but it was still tasty. Great portion that can be shared easily. For all the above we only paid $20, which was a great price for the amount of food u get. The place has limited seating, only three dining sets. Love this place! Lin at the Front counter is awesome! They opened up around the same time I moved here a few months ago and I've only had GREAT food ever since! My first experience was a YELP pick-up and they were on-point with time, taste & everything was FRESH & HOT! I've tried many Asian food places all over Savannah and this place is my TOP! this is the best japanese food i have had in savannah. everywhere ive been has been way too overpriced for mediocre food. what i had from tokyo japnese cafe was simply amazing. ive been looking for a place that has a tofu entree since i dont eat meat, i got the spicy orange tofu. it was so good. all the sauces are unique and ive never tasted anything like them. the yum yum sauce (im assuimg thats what it was) was almost smoky. i dont know how to explain but the guys in the kitchen know what they are doing. eat here if you are looking for good japanese food in savannah. you wont regret it. Ok, when we walked in the door we realized this was not a sit down restaurant but a Japanese carry out. We decided to stay at one of the few little tables and ordered the nigiri sushi, an order of crab Rangoon, and fried rice with egg. We were serviced on styrofoam plates. Service was fast. But food was pretty bad. The crab Rangoon tasted like a mayo paste with a little crab flake and the fried rice had 2 little pieces of egg. Clam sushi was so chewey, I had to spit it out. Been coming here for a straight year now! The owner knows me by name, voice and number! I'm not generally a hard to please person but I am always difficult being a vegan. The owner knows everything they put in the food and has put up with my questions from the start. My go to is the Veggie Yakisoba. It's soba noodles with zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, and more that I can't remember. I stuck with this dish and an avocado roll for two long before I branched out and tried the Spicy Orange Tofu. The Tofu is perfect. Not mushy like a lot of places that don't know what they are doing. Just crispy and spicy enough and pairs perfectly with the white rice. Will be coming here as long as I live here and spreading the word. On a side note, ignore the exterior of the place. It is right next to a laundromat and a barber shop and the area is kind of sketchy. read more

I eat here very often. The outside of the restaurant does seem a little sketchy, but don't let that fool you! The food is inexpensive and very delicious. I've eaten here twice. It recently opened and so far so good. Everything is new and clean. The chicken for the chicken katsu was on the thin side, but you are given 2 pieces and rice. The beef in the bento box was tasty. The Tokyo wings were also very good. They have plenty of sushi rolls/creations, for people who want to try sushi. However, an avid sushi eater may not see as many (raw) options (remember, it's a small restaurant). Overall, I enjoy the food and will definitely come back to try more dishes. read more
