"Ginger salad" or as everyone else calls it, iceberg lettuce and shrimp sauce
    Shawn S.

Sushi isn't bad, as long as you expect grocery store sushi. The service is fast from the sushi area at least. The "ginger salad" took an hour to actually be given to us (after asking twice), but it was literally a bowl of iceberg lettuce with shrimp sauce (yum yum sauce). No one I know eats shrimp sauce, especially as a salad dressing, and even more so as a "ginger" dressing. The smell of the place was equivalent to burning plastic. Also, our daughter went up to buy another fountain drink, I gave her cash, the girl at the counter took all the cash and handed her an empty cup. No change. Since when does a fountain drink cost over $5?

The food was so flavorful and fresh and I always love how clean the food areas are complimented by the fast friendly service you just can't miss!

This place is indeed a good edition to the georgetown mix. So much better than Sakura, WAY better. Living in the Georgetown area kind of puts a person in the middle ground between going to Southside of savannah or going up to I95. Sometimes I rather not have to go far but I usually had no choice. Now i can get some decent sushi close to home. Yes decent. Dont go in there thinking its a sushi restaurant and nor is it a hibachi steak house. Think of it is a much more upscake version of Seasons of Japans that comes with real Japanese food and good flavors. This place is does not have room for large parties so dont even think about that. Even if you did bring a large parry here you would have to order individually at the cashier :). Think of it is a quaint little place that you find downtown on a small corner for that Japanese food craving fix. Ok now on to the main review. Decor: 3.5 - not to bad. Its decorated enough to suit its needs. Not to shabby Service: 4 - well you can really only judge the person at the cashier. She dealt with all six of us ordering individually and trust me we had some big orders lol. YES SHE SPEAKS ENGLISH, i only said that in caps because some lady on here was complaining about having a guy there that barely spoke English. Suck it up cupcake and open your ears. Food: 4 - the sushi was pretty damn good, actually better than i had expected to get from them. You know after going to sakura in georgetown. I didn't expect much from this place but they surprised me. The other food was good too! The koni salad was pretty good and so was the hibachi chicken bowl. I will try to update whenever i go back :)

A clean, nicely decorated Japanese restaurant.

A nice addition in a part of town that has few dining options. I ordered the Special Combination chicken bowl (chicken, rice, grilled vegetables, and a drink) and also a tuna and avocado roll. The sushi was very tasty, and came with a very nice presentation on the plate. It was fresh (although the restaurant is brand new, so how old could it be?). The chicken bowl was also good, with nice teriyaki flavor, although I did get one or two bites that seemed a little tough. The decor is very nice, and definitely a step above a typical strip mall restaurant. I will return soon.

My chicken teriyaki was very bland. It was literally just chopped white meat with some sauce thrown on it. Definitely will not order again.

This place is owned by the group that also owns places such as Sunday Sunday and Flying Monk Noodle House (both also equally and amazingly fantastic). The service was impeccable this go around and I really wished I caught the server's name but, alas, I didn't. I do remember the server wearing a really cool Levi and Strauss belt buckle (so if anyone from the restaurant reads this please give this individual kudos). I will say with the way customer service can be these days it truly was a breath of fresh air. We started out with the hamachi sushi maki style. SUPERB! The fish was so fresh and delicious. I ordered the hamachi poke bowl (I obviously like yellowtail ) I really need everyone to know how fresh this place is. We also had the Laos Lemongrass which was pork belly with rice, kimchi and some veggies. It also came with a curry sauce which was absolutely yummy with the pork. I also really like their iced tea. It tastes like Thai tea but without all of the sugar. Very aromatic. If you are ever in Savannah, this is the place to go. Cute atmosphere, fantastic service and extraordinary food.

She helped guide us through a few options and everything she recommended was so fresh and flavorful. We ordered the Yellowtail and Eel sashimi along with the Dragon Roll, and honestly every bite tasted high quality. I paired everything with a Rose while my husband had a Sidecar, which he loved. Between the atmosphere, cocktails, and fresh sushi, this place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

We had their crispy spicy tuna appetizer with crispy square rice on the bottom and they were so good. For the main entree I ordered their butabara kimchi ramen and it was what I needed, the broth was rich, savory, and the kimchi really brings the broth flavor more dimensional. The ramen noodle texture was cooked to perfection and the pork belly paired so well in this ramen. My husband ordered the A5 wagyu rib eye and the steak melt in your mouth. We sprinkle the sea salt and dipped it in the quail yolk dashi juice and it was perfection! It is definitely a gem restaurant for Savannah! Truly amazing food experience!

There's a great selections of Japanese Whiskey, Sake and cocktails. We had a reservation and when we entered it was a bit confusing with people all over the place in the entrance not sure whether waiting to speak to the hostess or just casually waiting to be called for their table. After getting sorted we spoke to the hostess and then were shortly seated. The waiter came and took our drink orders right away. We got 2 cokes and a Whiskey Sour with Japanese Whiskey. After waiting about 15 min the waiter came back to take our food order, however we still had not gotten our drinks. We asked and said they were coming swiftly. Finally after 10 minutes later our drink orders came in. The cokes were flat but the Whiskey Sour was really good. I can't remember the waiters name but honestly she came by maybe 4 times the whole night and did not have the best attitude. The best thing about Ukiyo hands down was the food. Everything from the Ramen to the wagyu bao buns, just Wow. The wagyu was so crispy and just melted in your mouth. The ramen had amazing flavor profiles and was perfectly spiced. We also ordered the Chicken Karaage and this was so tender with the citrus mayo. This was also pretty big so were easily filled with all these dishes. The food and cocktails were amazing but the service really did disappoint from the delays and infrequent interactions.

She was great, and at the ready with refills for our soft drink. The food itself was delicious. We did the edamame and two build your own ramen bowls. My fried tofu was the perfect texture and didn't get soggy sitting in the broth. The flavors were good and they had extra spices available if you wanted to amp up the flavor a little more. Would definitely go again. They do have a bit of a "nerdy" atmosphere with anime on the TVs and some trading cards available. And it gives the street market kind of vibe with the seating. Cold air inside, waters stayed full, but it can be fairly noisy depending who you're sat next to and how busy the place is. Tables can be a bit tight for a couple as you'll only get a 2 top (they get busy and need to save the larger tables for bigger parties). We were able to order before the 10 top next to us, so our food came out super fast! (Yay!!)
