We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Although the restaurant seems to focus mostly on takeout, we decided to dine in and had a great experience! They don't cook at the table but you can see them cooking. I ordered the steak, chicken, and shrimp yakisoba--it was flavorful and fresh. The portions were large and the food came out quickly. I also ordered extra noodles to go because I had a lot of meat left and I had several meals. The fast, friendly service is definitely a plus! The dining area is small, has a soda foundation and utensils. My friend has been trying to get me to go for months. I glad that I went and I will definitely return! Sushi isn't bad, as long as you expect grocery store sushi. The service is fast from the sushi area at least. The "ginger salad" took an hour to actually be given to us (after asking twice), but it was literally a bowl of iceberg lettuce with shrimp sauce (yum yum sauce). No one I know eats shrimp sauce, especially as a salad dressing, and even more so as a "ginger" dressing. The smell of the place was equivalent to burning plastic. Also, our daughter went up to buy another fountain drink, I gave her cash, the girl at the counter took all the cash and handed her an empty cup. No change. This is a take out joint that has tables. Non stop pick up traffic. Eating in is a mistake that I've made twice now. Ordering an appetizer is not a good idea because it all comes to you at the same time like a take out order in take out containers. Shrimp have little flavor as does everything else but you get a dozen shrimp and a pound of rice Soup was good. Pricing is fair maybe even cheap. Probably will stick to my once a year visits. To put it frankly, the food was disgusting. I ordered fillet / chicken "hibachi" and it came with a huge serving of poorly made fried rice, and yakisoba noodles and veggies. The fillet was a very low quality cut along with chicken breasts that was way over cooked and dry, not that it matters because the "chef" covered everything with disgusting teriyaki sauce. Upsets me that Americans would eat this and think it's Japanese. Nothing about this restaurant is Japanese. I had a Nigiri combo with an added piece of Unagi. The Sushi was good but not great. Still I would return here for takeout and a pleasant change from burgers and fries. After 3 visits and 6 sushi rolls I have decided to upgrade my review to 4 stars. I have not had a bad menu item except maybe a salad drenched in dressing. I learned to order dressing on the side. The sushi has been fresh and tasty. The rolls have been well crafted. The menu has many options. They don't serve coffee but that will be remedied in the near future when the coffee shop goes in next door. There will be a great opportunity to have some decent sushi with a decent cup of coffee. Ok, this place has good food and is not expensive at all. They offer Military discounts and their place is clean and cozy. My fav dish was the Chicken Katsu with House Fried rice and veggies. I always also enjoy their Miso soup. Good job Kobe...I'll keep coming here! read more

If you want cheap Japanese food then this is your spot. Personally didn't care for it and would rather save my money and time and to else where but I guess it's a decent little spot for Georgetown. We met up with some friends here for a quick dinner on their request and I didn't have the highest of expectations for this place but I didn't care. It was cheap and quick and was more concerned about the people than the food. They have really cheap options which is rare in Savannah and for most people it's prob very convenient to pick up and get a quick cheap meal but like I said not my style. We got the hibachi which didn't taste much like hibachi. Vegetables were pretty soggy and the rice was kinda dry. We also got the steak yakisoba that was really nothing more than some dry noodles with cheap over cooked steak lol. But drowned in enough shrimp sauce and siracha anything is good right?? Since moving to Savannah this place is my holy grail for Japanese food. The cheese wontons are a must when getting an appetizer. When I order through DoorDash they have the option to exclude ingredients from your meal, having allergies to many things this is the best. They listen to all instructions with food allergies. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. The quality of their food is outstanding for how cheap it is. Highly recommend this place to anyone around or visiting the area!! read more

This place is indeed a good edition to the georgetown mix. So much better than Sakura, WAY better. Living in the Georgetown area kind of puts a person in the middle ground between going to Southside of savannah or going up to I95. Sometimes I rather not have to go far but I usually had no choice. Now i can get some decent sushi close to home. Yes decent. Dont go in there thinking its a sushi restaurant and nor is it a hibachi steak house. Think of it is a much more upscake version of Seasons of Japans that comes with real Japanese food and good flavors. This place is does not have room for large parties so dont even think about that. Even if you did bring a large parry here you would have to order individually at the cashier :). Think of it is a quaint little place that you find downtown on a small corner for that Japanese food craving fix. Ok now on to the main review. Decor: 3.5 - not to bad. Its decorated enough to suit its needs. Not to shabby Service: 4 - well you can really only judge the person at the cashier. She dealt with all six of us ordering individually and trust me we had some big orders lol. YES SHE SPEAKS ENGLISH, i only said that in caps because some lady on here was complaining about having a guy there that barely spoke English. Suck it up cupcake and open your ears. Food: 4 - the sushi was pretty damn good, actually better than i had expected to get from them. You know after going to sakura in georgetown. A nice addition in a part of town that has few dining options. I ordered the Special Combination chicken bowl (chicken, rice, grilled vegetables, and a drink) and also a tuna and avocado roll. The sushi was very tasty, and came with a very nice presentation on the plate. It was fresh (although the restaurant is brand new, so how old could it be?). The chicken bowl was also good, with nice teriyaki flavor, although I did get one or two bites that seemed a little tough. The decor is very nice, and definitely a step above a typical strip mall restaurant. I will return soon. read more

I've had hibachi chicken and shrimp before and they are always soo good and flavorful. There was really no taste to either and the shrimp was not that good. The fried rice tasted more just like normal white sticky rice, but had the color of them adding soy sauce. But I don't think it was fried rice. The sushi was just ok. The best thing about the meal was the spring roll and the only thing that tasted good. Again, it could be because it was take out, but usually even take out has flavor. I found out that Kobe is not authentic Japanese. In fact, this restaurant is Chinese owned and it's their interpretation of cooking Japanese food. I was in Savannah Memorial Day Weekend. I decided to try this restaurant because of my daughter's recommendation (she lives in Savannah). I got the All American Roll, Volcano Roll, and the sweet potato roll. The All American and Volcano Roll was the best. I could have done without the sweet potato roll.
