We ordered through doordash and had the worst sushi and rangoons. We privately gave feedback and they tried to blame the dasher, but the order arrived on time and wasn't late! They got defensive and tried to say ginger sauce wasn't on the menu, but it actually is under sauces which is misleading. We paid around $60 for a pathetic excuse for sushi and rubber. We could have went to Publix for much better sushi that's vibrant and better tasting for much less money. Their response was even worse. We will never oder from them again read more

We ordered nigiri, sashimi and for pickup. Theirs menu states they deliver for $3.00 but we didn't try that service. The sushi was good. Everything tasted fresh. The sashimi was placed in a pile. We ordered a Salmon combo and an additional Godzilla role and Crab Rangoon. There was plenty of food for 2-3 people. When I ordered they asked if we wanted shrimp sauce. I said a couple would be nice. I think we may have been charged because the bill total was about $2.00-$3.00 higher than I expected. The women was very friendly. She made it clear when ordering this is the Sushi place next to Stoner's Pizza behind Rachel 's and Dollar General. It is easy to confuse them with the other sushi place by Food Lion and the new coffee shop, Glo's. I will clearly be back for more sushi. read more

Was in Savannah last year, traveling between jobs, made a mental note to stop by should the other nearby restaurants didn't pique my interest as I looked for my hotel. Sure enough, after a long day of exploring Savannah and spent the previous night eating in downtown; I wound up back at my hotel and needing to pack for an early flight, I went down and ordered an udon soup to go. The staff was friendly, my order was ready in a few minutes, I expected no less. Drove back to my hotel and tucked into my takeout container of udon. Sure, I've had better, living in the San Francisco bay area has it's benefits, Sakura definitely hit the spot, especially in the outskirts of Savanna. Definitely stop by if you're the area or order delivery during COVID (though COVID is giving me an opportunity to start and finish all my reviews). They had rolls and dinner plates too, though not terribly authentic. read more

After moving out of Georgetown, I realized that Sakura's is, by far, just as good of a Japanese restaurant as you can get close by. Alittle disappointed that they no longer serve Tonkatsu but their teriyaki dishes make up for the loss. Good job Sakura! read more

This restaurant is the worst Japanese food I have ever tasted! I wanted to give this place a chance, since it is conveniently located right next door of where we live. But I was completely disappointed! I felt like I was cheated of my money spent. The food is so horrible here!! How is this place is still in business?! The sushi was bad, the teriyaki chicken wasn't well marinated, like they just cooked the chicken and poured some grocery store bottled teriyaki sauce over it. The rice was hard, and disgusting! I could have made the same meal at home but 10 times better! My teriyaki chicken, is way better and I'm not a cook. The sushi? SUCKS. It was discolored and we were pretty sure one of us was going to have food poisoning. I felt cheated out of my money coming here. read more

Wow talk about a diamond in the ruff. It is in an old strip mall behind a newer restaurant and almost passable. We got there late and didn't have much time to decide because the power seemed irritated we came late and was sure to let us know when they closed (in my opinion she could have handled this better and is the only reason I took 1 star away). I had the steak habachi with noodles and veggies. My sin ordered something that came with a salad so I got to try his and their finer dressing is really good. Also their Shrimp sauce is one of the best I've had (Yum Yum sauce), I literally eat it on everything! Lol. Overall the food was amazing and next time we are in Savannah we will be back. read more

Sushi was ok, we have had better. Rice was warm, which was a little weird with the sushi. We ordered the steak and shrimp teriyaki. Sauce was from a bottle. The rice was dry. I think they used the white rice and heated it up and added a little soy sauce. We were both disappointed with the rice. Waitress was very nice. Food was just ok. read more

Sadly, I did not find this an enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant was empty except for me and the waitress the whole time I was there. (This was a Thursday between 12:30 and 1:00.) I got the Teriyaki Beef Lunch Special. The beef was tough and in a very bland brown sauce from a bottle. The fried rice had no vegetables or protein in it. And the side vegetables were an unusual combination of onions, squash, possibly cucumber, and a little broccoli. And it all had a flavor that was just a little tiny bit disconcertingly... old. This place is disgusting. Came in to place a to go order and the amount of grease build up in their kitchen was enough to make me never come back. I still ate the food when I got back home. Really inexpensive quality sushi. Friend lives down the road so we stopped in for dinner after being downtown all day. They had a great special called sushi Maki combo which is three rolls and a salad for like 13 bucks which my freind opted for.I ordered a seaweed salad spicy shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna roll. The rolls are for the most part basic but great flavor and an Incredible deal. read more

Yelp really led me astray this time. What's with the great reviews you guys?? Terrible sushi. Waaaay too much rice (it was even on the inside of the rolls as if it were a filling), extremely bland, cut too large, gave us the wrong rolls, and there were literally globs of regular mayo on top of one of my rolls. Gag. Ginger and seaweed salads were good but miso soup was bland and watery although they gave a decent sized portion. Turn around and walk out the door if you're looking for good sushi. read more

Ate here tonight after realizing there was actually a Japanese joint that delivered while vacationing in Savannah Georgia, which is definitely a plus! I found the sushi to be the best part of the adventure. I had the chicken teriyaki as well, the food was good but not great in my opinion, my bar is pretty high though, living on the west coast. I Love this place. They deliver, you can pick up a take out order, or eat in. It's family owned and run. They are very friendly and super nice. The sushi is always great! This is a great local sushi place with great people. I don't eat tons of "fancy" sushi, so I can't vouch for that. But, every roll I've had there gets devoured. I also LOVE their fried shrimp and all the tempura dishes. The lady owner makes the ginger dressing and shrimp sauce- both are made with love. SHE is an absolute dear, BTW.
