My boyfriend had ordered us food from here through DoorDash. We both ordered a combo that contained miso soup, salad, and three hand rolls each. So we ended up ordering six different rolls between the two of us. The miso soup and salad were pretty good starters to the meal and I was excited to dig into the rolls. I actually used the teriyaki type sauce to dip the rolls in and each one was pretty good. We ended up getting spicy tuna, albacore, eel and avocado, salmon, tempura shrimp, and tuna rolls. And I overloaded on the ginger that was provided since my boyfriend tmdidnt want his. Overall, even though it was pricey for to delivery costs, I really enjoyed what we got. read more

Great food, sophisticated plating for the price point, and great quality for value. We had several lunch specials, and we're surprised from the outset that unlike other Japanese restaurants, Tokyo Cube does not have a throwaway salad. Crispy corn, yummy ponzu-like dressing, and mixed greens including spinach. Lovely fish plates, unique rolls on wood block plates, and delicious lava brownie dessert. Very yummy!!! Sure the parking situation might be a pain but the food definitely makes up for it. The fish was fresh and the presentation was aesthetically especially pleasing. We're started with the garlic edamame. Spicy and delicious. Then we had the lady Gaga. The albacore might've been sliced a bit thicker than I'm used to but wonderful. A fairly new place in cahuenga blvd and WOW, its has such amazing food. There is not much parking outside so you would have to park at some residential place nearby if there isnt any parking spot left. Ambiance is pretty casual and clean. Here are the foods i tried: Chicken teriyaki(5/5) - Very tender and flavorful with a combination of rice. Baked salmon roll(5/5) - Small but full of taste Salad(5/5) - Absolutely love it! I enjoy eating here because the staff/chefs are great. Super friendly. I like the fact that you can come here alone and not feel awkward (#solodolo) or with friends and family, have a nice quiet dinner. Sitting in the patio is so nice, over looking the beautiful city of Hollywood/Universal Studios. Price is fair and food is delicious. First visit here with three others. Almost couldn't find the place because of its tucked away location next to the gas station! Food was really great and decently priced for LA sushi. They have a large variety on the menu, from poke bowls to sushi rolls to ramen! We ended up ordering four rolls, garlic edamame, vegetable tempura, and drinks! The presentation of each roll was wonderful and the taste was very very good. Not the best sushi I've had (I'm more of a sashimi person), but this place has great promise. Hopefully they expand their sashimi menu (didn't have uni at the time) and start carrying sake (at the moment no liquor license)! Service was a bit slow and it seems like they're still working out kinks on who is taking orders, who is bringing out food, and who is clearing plates. On that front I'd give them 3.5 stars. Hidden gem! Had a fantastic meal here after a long hot day tromping around Universal. This isn't a huge spot, but it's welcoming and the staff is incredibly alert, friendly, and prompt. Everything on the menu was so tempting that we ordered way too much food. Everything was delicious, decently-priced, and super fresh. The maguro in particular was delectable - melted in my tongue. The moment you walk in, this restaurant has a very chill and contemporary feel. The music is pleasant and blends well behind conversation. This is my third visit this year, and I have to admit that I'm addicted to their Candy Crush roll. Enjoy it with a Thai iced tea or mango smoothie. Yum! They have creative names for rolls, like Barham Roll and Universal Roll, which taste scrumptious. Their location is prime, so expect slightly higher prices. Then again, the convenience of this place to my home is well worth it. :) Oh! Don't forget to order wontons for a savory appetizer and end with some delicious ice cream. Ordered for pickup online. It said it was ready for pickup at 7:36pm. I arrived there at 7:40pm and they said it's going to take another 10-15min. Food was not ready until 8:06pm. All I wanted to say is that if you can't guarantee it to be ready by your promised time, why wouldn't you change it on the website so that instead of letting a customer waiting at the restaurant for 26min, the person can just come later and feel a little happier? An Uber Eat person came after me to ask pick up her order, and she was rudely told to wait for 2min. Well- that ended up being 5min. I left before she received her food so I don't know if she had the same experience, but I hope that she didn't have to end up waiting as long as I did. We got the Salmon Lover Poke. There's no question about the freshness of the fish, but no poke sauce? I thought poke is all about the sauce such as ponzu or spicy mayo? Instead, we got the same old soy sauce, This should've been a chirashi dish. Oh and please please please don't ever pack soup underneath of a sushi bowl. Fish was half cooked by the time we took it home. This tells me how serious they run their business as a sushi restaurant. People seemed to have a good time inside the restaurant, so I might just be that unfortunate guy who happened to have all the issues, but once was already enough. The portion size and quality of the fish used to be phenomenal for this price point, the best I've seen in LA for this price, I used to tell all my friends that this is the place to go if you want some fresh sushi. Found this tiny bistro near my Airbnb, and had dinner here. Happy hour everyday from 5pm-7pm, which was good. I had garlic green beans, veggie tempura rolls and shrimp tempura. They have great lunch combos for a good value. We had one with chicken teriyaki (sauce was a bit too sweet for us) and one combo with lunch rolls. The lunch rolls were heavily sauced, I think a bit less is more, overall very tasty though. If you pick the sushi combo, try their lemon, it was simply fantastic. The combos come with miso soup and a very delicious salad. Parking is awful!
