For a Sunday night, they were quite busy! We got there around 5pm with only two parties inside. The place was almost full by the time we left the place. We had a plethora of different foods from okonomiyaki, takoyaki, the appetizer platter, which came with chicken, takoyaki, fried gyoza, etc. with two different dipping sauces. Kids really enjoyed the takoyaki and ate it up. Tastes like what I remembered from Japan. The okonomiyaki wasn't fully stuffed like I've seen it but it definitely had the foundation of batter, vegetables and a ton of bonito flakes. Our table had the jampong, two orders of the pork cutlet with rice and salad, a sashimi salad, a tuna hand roll, a katsu ramen and the unagi rice. I shared the pork cutlet dish and it was delicious. They gave us so much meat, I'm glad i shared the dish with my younger son. I knew there was no way he would finish. My partner's unagi dish could've been better but at least his friend really liked this jampong. He said the noodles tasted fresh and the broth was delicious. My son finished his katsu ramen with only the soup and some noodles remaining. He never finishes his food anyways. Always leaves something on the plate or bowl. They were also nice enough to provide a knife, plastic forks and plates for a cake our friend brought to celebrate joint birthdays. Great service. Parking lot is a bit small but at least they don't share it with anyone else. read more

Honestly, this has to be one of the WORST places I ever went to for ramen. I've been to many great ones coming from Vegas, but this one we went to during our Cali trip was a huge disappointment. We were looking for a restaurant that was not overly heavy at 10 pm, and came across this place on Yelp. It looked promising with the number of reviewers and star rating. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of the restaurant, which was pretty chill and the decorations caught my eye. The decor was really the only reason a 1 star was given if there was ever a zero star option. There were barely any customers, which we initially assumed it was because of the late night bite hour, but this should've been a signal of the quality of the food. I ordered the miso ramen, which turned out to be the most bland and flavorless ramen I had. The broth tasted strongly of bean sprouts, which might as well been called bean sprout ramen instead of miso. In terms of toppings, the eggs in the ramen looked like they were old and shriveled. They were tasteless and added no flavor to the ramen. The chicken karaage was soggy. The braised pork was cut in huge chunks and hardly tasted "braised." It was a disaster all around, I would rather have Maruchan instant ramen. Overall, I do not recommend going to this place for dinner unless it is a last resort when no other place is opened. read more

I was in the area for an errand and was looking for a unique place to eat. Once again, the Yelp community came through. Awesome discovery with a chill atmosphere. My server hustled and was attentive. And the food, on point. I ended up getting a Korean rice cake dish. A favorite of mine but with a nice rosé twist. But their menu had a lot of choose from and the menu itself was fun to look at. Well from the outside initially I was kinda of lost because it's on the corner of a somewhat busy street. But once you park and get inside it is really nice and has a very homey feel. The staff was very kind and was quick with whatever we ordered. The food was good too! The chicken was crispy and the rice was nice and warm and not immediately dissolving in the curry. For another hidden gem in the OC. Nice quaint little restaurant in Fullerton. Came in at around 6pm. Not that busy. Ordered the Unagi bowl and the okonomiyaki. The unagi bowl was filling and was great value for just $11. The okonomiyaki was fluffy and the crispy onion on top gave it a nice texture contrast. Was craving Japanese curry and found that this was the closest spot. I got spicy level 3 and thought it was pretty good with a good amount of kick. Our sever was really helpful with describing the different spice levels so I know which one to get. Overall was a really good experience! read more

Tokyo Eats is a perfect late night spot for delicious and adorable curry! My girlfriend and I loved how cute the presentation was and the flavors were just as amazing. The simple menu makes ordering easy and everything we tried was packed with flavor. Service was fast and friendly and the tables were spotless. We love how cozy it is inside and it made for a great date night though I'd recommend bringing a jacket since it can get a bit chilly. We're hoping for more drink options in the future, but overall we love that this place stays open late for our cravings. Totally recommend! read more

I am very pleased with my resent visit to Tokyo Eats. We ordered delivery and it came very quickly. We didnt even have to heat anything up including the udon soup. We had croquette, shrimp tempura udon, gyoza, and seasoned whole boiled eggs. Everything was delicious with actual Japanese style seasoning which is much more subtle and umami compared to the American style Japanese seasoning which can be quite in your face at times. Especially in DTF. The amount of food we received was perfect. We were full, we had 0 leftovers and we saved the plastic containers for repurposing. Oh and! I think the price including delivery was less than $40! Give them a try! read more

I've gone here twice and both times their curry has been delicious! I get the Pork Katsu Curry with rice - the pork is very moist and crispy. Their original spiciness option was a great choice for me, someone who likes a little spice but can't really tolerate heat. It's decorated very much like a mom & pop shop, very cute but also a little odd. The service was great and fast, even with only one server both times we went. They are at a new location now, just down the road from where they used to be, and the parking is so much better since they now have their own lot. Definitely coming back again! read more

One charming touch we really appreciated: each bowl had a different, uniquely cute design, which added a bit of personality to the dining experience. The ambiance is also worth noting -- soft lighting, subtle Japanese decor, Sakura leaves hanging above, and nostalgic vintage posters on the wall gave the space a relaxed and authentic feel without being overdone.
