    Teriaky chicken bowl
    Patrick O.

Stopped at this restaurant on my lunch break and ordered off the lunch menu. Food quality was great! The menu had plenty to choose from and even offered sushi. The pricing wasnt bad considering the food selection to choose from. They do have a bar and offer plenty of beer specials! The only thing I wish would have been better was the service! One waitress working the whole floor around 2pm! She was definitely hustling! I will be back again in the future!

This a good restaurant for Japanese. The ambiance is great. My family and I have eaten here several times. I've had the shrimp bowl with noodles and broccoli it was simply delicious. My husband loves the chicken teriyaki. I definitely would recommend this establishment for an evening of good food and drink.

    Roach

I was shocked when we saw a roach on our table. I was told we couldn't get a refund because the food was not in our food. We were all sick to our stomach after we ate there. We were wondering if there were any roaches in the back

To give you an idea, my husband and I ate there this evening and here's what we had (all excellent). Appetizers: tuna tartare with capers, wasabi, sesame seeds, lettuce, and crisps. It was well balanced and delicious. The other appetizer was Cambodian Spring Rolls, which were perfectly browned, and eaten by placing them in a romaine lettuce leaf with crumbled peanuts and dipping it in an amazing but light sauce. The textures and flavors played off of each other wonderfully, elevating it far above any regular spring roll you may be thinking of. For entrees, my husband had the special, Paella (saffron rice, mussels, shrimp, clams, and a whole crab, red bell pepper). Every item was perfectly cooked, neither undercooked nor overcooked and it tasted fantastic. My entree was perfectly cooked pan-seared salmon filet, with perfectly grilled large asparagus and the most amazing take on grits I have ever had (not your mama's breakfast grits). They were delicately flavored with butter, a hint of cheese and I don't know what else but it understated while still having flavors that seemed too complex for grits to have, without being overdone. There are menu items for both the more and less adventurous diner, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A gem in the middle of nowhere.

Not going to lie this hole in the wall restaurant looks unassuming from the outside but hey you can never judge a book by its cover. The hibachi grill leaves such a satisfying char to the meat that each bite is a flavor explosion once you add in the mayo sauce and the sweet garlic sauce. The rice is there to soak it all up at the end. I personally enjoy the chicken and shrimp the most. MW also offers sushi. I wasn't able to try it out but managed to grab a photo. Note - my parents used to own this restaurant so I grew up eating this food almost daily. When I visited I was hopeful that the recipes and technique would be maintained by the new owners who took over a few years ago. They did not disappoint. Everything was just as I remembered when I left it almost 10 years ago.

We watched quite a few others come in, order, and even sit to eat before leaving. Still, our order did not come. There is no excuse. Once when we went in, they were actually smoking in back and there smell of cigarettes was so strong. I couldn't believe it! We have given them chance after chance. It's say to be treated like that when you are a loyal customer.

Let me start by saying--I'm not someone who looks to tear a business down. You can check my past…read morereviews and see that. But this was hands down the worst sushi I've ever had... and I'm not even sure it qualifies as sushi. I started with the gyoza (dumplings), and honestly--they were excellent. Easily top 3 I've ever had. That got me excited for the sushi. Then the rolls came out. They were massive, piping hot, drenched in a brown sauce, and topped with what they called "spicy crab." First bite? Complete shock. It was still hot and had this strange, almost chemical oil taste. I didn't spit it out out of respect for the people sitting nearby, but it was bad. I tried a second roll thinking maybe it was just that one--but nope, same exact taste. This time I had to grab a napkin and spit it out. At that point, I asked for a drink refill just to get the taste out of my mouth and debated saying something--but honestly, I didn't feel like dealing with the back-and-forth of explaining that the food was basically inedible. I asked for the check and left after only one bite of each roll. For reference, the rolls were the "Caroline" and the one right above it on the menu. I'd strongly recommend staying away from their sushi--period. Ended up going next door to Cracker Barrel just to salvage the night.
