The kitchen team here is operating at an incredibly high level. The Scallops: Absolute perfection. They had that beautiful golden sear while remaining buttery and tender inside. The flavor profile was sophisticated yet allowed the freshness of the seafood to shine. The Red Snapper: A standout dish. The fish was cooked to moist, flaky perfection, showcasing a delicate balance of textures that only a top-tier chef can achieve. The Risotto: Honestly, this dish deserves its own line item in our family budget. It is so addictive that I'd happily order it every single day if I could! Out-of-this-World Service While the food was spectacular, the service was truly cosmic. It's rare to find a team that is this intuitive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They don't just take orders; they curate an experience. Every detail was anticipated before I even had to ask.

We didn't have a reservation but were seated within 15 minutes. Our booth however was probably the most uncomfortable booth I have ever sat in. My wife and I couldn't find a comfortable spot anywhere. Very strange seats. We all got the watermelon margarita special which was fantastic. The crab dip was delicious. Our main entrees were just OK. I had much better fresh seafood at other restaurants we tried locally.

I ordered the blackened catch of the day tacos, and they were delicious--the fish was seasoned just right, and the mango salsa gave them the perfect fresh, sweet kick. The side salad was crisp and fresh, and everything came out quickly. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It's easy to see why this place is so highly rated. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

The fried okra did not taste fresh at all, kind of mushy and didn't have parm on it, 4.5 out of 10. The mussels were a HIT!! Great flavor, lots of buttery sauce, 9.0 The roasted red pepper and crab bisque had a really nice flavor, but alas, there was about 2 teaspoons of crab in it. So sad, 7.0 The shrimp and grits tasted good, but that's a high bar, being you should be making a great shrimp & grits if you put it on your menu in this part of the country. It's not near as good as I've had around here, but still, 7.0 Both the girls had the salmon with risotto. Risotto was good, but both pieces of fish were overcooked. If your a seafood place, cooking the fish correctly is a must. Sorry, 5.0 My son had the flounder and, again, the crab tasted like it was canned and the fish was overcooked, 4.0 Since Yelp only has 5 stars instead of 10, I had to mark down so people wouldn't think it was a good meal. 3 out of 5 is just above average. Sorry Cape.

We started with an appetizer we have not had before and we really enjoyed it. Get the Crab dip. You get a hot, bubbly dish of the dip with some fried pita chips. Get some bread at the table too, so you can enjoy the dip if you run out of chips. My husband loved it so much he ate it plain. We got some excellent entrees this time. We had the Figure 8 stuffed flounder. Instead of the green beans and risotto, he got risotto cakes and sautéed spinach. Risotto cakes are really good. Nice and crispy and so tasty. We also had the lemon pepper scallops with risotto cakes and asparagus. We really enjoyed everything and our server was so nice. I didn't take a pic but I also had the handcrafted lemonade which is delicious. Unfortunately no room for dessert, but they have some yummy selections to try. We have enjoyed coming here repeatedly and do enjoy this place. We have had very few minor issues that were not deal breakers for coming in. As with any restaurant, they will have some minor flaws. Overall it is consistently good.

Wish we were in the main room. Anyway, good size menu. Everything you need from chowder, fried platters, broiled dishes and non dish items too. We went with the basic fried platters. The flounder was good, hot and crispy. The fries basic. Cole slaw tasty. The hushpuppies were not good. Small, over cooked and dry. The food came out fast. The service was great. They had good dinner specials and bar specials too. I will be back. It's a good neighborhood restaurant. 3.5 stars. But sure it will be a four next visit.

This restaurant by far has been…read morethe most consistent in the quality of the food, which is the best of all the restaurants in the topsail area. It is not fine dining and has the sports bar vibe. It is a relatively small place and I recommend going on non peak hours in season. If you are into oysters, they have a great selection of both local and regional on the half shell. If you prefer cooked, chargrilled or steamed is a good choice. While the menu has a great selection of seafood, the chalkboard specials features extremely fresh local catches which change daily. While there are several restaurants in and around the topsail area this is the only one where I have never been disappointed. If you go at peak hours during the vacation season expect to wait but it is worth it. You can't miss with any of the steamed shellfish offerings and if you prefer fried there batter is light and not overpowering. As a sports bar, they have a large selection of tap and bottled beers and a good mixology of liquor options which is only outdone in my opinion by Rick's in Sneads Ferry

I could've asked the price upfront (and usually do) but what the heck... we're on vacation. The server suggested we get a "double" and share it. OK. Sounds good. It came out quick. There was a TON of food for two of us. Shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn. It didn't have a lot of seasoning also on it, but - no problem - there was a rack with every hot sauce you'd ever need, plus salt, pepper and old bay. We both ate our fill and even left a few potatoes. The bill comes and it's less than $40. It might be the cheapest great meal I've had in a long time. Or maybe it's the "greatest cheap meal" I've had in a long time... I don't know. Bar ambiance, but pleasant enough for families. Mostly high tables. It all seemed very nice.

Once seated though things moved pretty fast. Our waiter Noah T was very attentive, answered our questions and we were off and running. We chose a couple of appetizers; a bowl of Chowder (only because of the raves from fellow Yelpers) and the Athenian Bruschetta. Both were very good but my expectant bubble was burst as it wasn't "the best I have had" as many of the Yelpers had described it. The Athenian Bruschetta though was A-amazing. For Entree I had the stuffed Flounder and Norma had Shrimp and Scallop Scampi. Both were very delicious. Atmosphere was nice, a bit crowded, as you would expect where the food is really good. Tables were tight. Hard to navigate with Norma's wheelchair, but we made it through. Large helpings, took tomorrow's lunch back to the hotel. A definite come back to place.

The vibe is fairly casual. Fairly affordable prices. I am a tough critic on seafood because I grew up on the coast eating fresh seafood, so others may have differing opinions. I had high expectations as a result of the reviews. The chowder was the star for me and could be elevated to excellent with a little more seasoning (I added a lot of pepper which was enough to give it a kick and make it exceptionally tasty). The oysters were good. The crab cakes didn't have enough lump crab for my taste -- more cake than crab, if that makes sense. And the hushpuppies were a bit bland. My son enjoyed the mac which came in a large portion. Although we were just there for takeout, the employees were friendly and helpful.
