*READ THIS REVIEW* Tonight I ordered an 8-piece and a 4-piece salmon mango roll. When they were served to me it looked like a the rolls were run over by a lawn mower. It was terrible looking, for a premium price. When I brought this terrible looking sushi to the register and asked it to be remade, the girl looked at it and said "What's wrong with it?" I said that it doesn't even look like sushi and some pieces hardly have any meat inside. She refused to remake my 8-piece and then said she couldn't give me a refund. This has happened the last time I got their sushi, and last time I ate it and was upset how terrible it was. This time I tried to talk to them about it and they didn't care and were very rude. Shame! Draw your own conclusions on the quality of this Tokyo Joes location. This type of thing keeps happening here. I have been served salads with old curdled lettuce, multiple times. I suggest getting your sushi from the grocery store where it at least look 100 times better and has more meat for a lower price! read more

Great service; decent, clean food. The customer service here is par excellence. This is a "build your bowl in 5 steps" kind of restaurant. The first step is choose your protein: They have chicken (white or dark meat), steak, grilled shrimp and poke (raw salmon or tuna) options. Second, you choose your base: white rice, brown rice, or double vegetables (carb free). Third, you choose your vegetables. You can select none, few or all of them on the list. Fourth, you choose your toppings (up to two only) wonton crisps, crispy onions, sesame seeds, etc. Fifth( you choose one of their sauces. I chose two and had them put each one on the side in separate containers. Vegetables are all half cooked with precision. Overall, This food is clean and you will leave here with a healthy-full kind of feeling. Now go get 'em. read more

This is my second time here, my first try wasn't a great experience but It was opening week. I had a build your own bowl w/Udon noodles and was less than impressed. I came back as they have been open a couple months now and found the quality much better. Ordered the Boulder Bowl w/Dragon sauce on the side. Tasty and pretty quick. I was excited for some poke in Greely! The place is small and clean with huge red lamps inside for decoration. They also have a patio area. Service was very pleasant! I'm only giving three stars though because taste wise, it wasn't that great. The house poke sauce or whatever was too tangy and made my mouth pucker. I have never been disappointed with any of the Tokyo Joe's when it comes to their food. I can always find yummy, healthy options that my whole family can eat and really enjoy However, this particular restaurant seems to have major issues with keeping tables bussed & cleaned, and, on this occasion, had one of the kitchen staff very upset about someone not being where they were supposed to be. Complaining & swearing staff is a pet peeve of mine, I was a waitress for quite awhile & if you have a problem with your job or a co-worker, there is no reason that the entire restaurant should be able to hear you. read more

Another dissapointing visit to Tokyo Joe's in Greeley. Ordered 2 bento boxes and Spring Rolls. Boxes (minus sushi) arrived relatively quickly. Spring rolls and sushi took another 28 minutes. Spoke with cashier 20 min into wait and recieved 'attitude' from sushi person. When Spring rolls arrived they were made so poorly you couldn't actually pick them up. Tired of giving this place 'one more try'. No more. Update... Mentioned problems to corporate office. Provided me with a couple of free entrees and an apology. It took over 40 minutes for them to make the food, and the order was wrong at the end of it. I was second in line with no one else waiting on orders, and needed three bowls and a roll. Multiple people came in after and were served, but it was just shy of 3/4 of an hour before I got my to go order. The food was good but not worth the wait. Here in Greeley visiting from San Diego where poke is a way of life and authentic so I shouldn't have been surprised this place is what I call "white" people's version of Asian food and poke. It was bland and just "ok". Nothing to be impressed by. I'm used to paying about $8 for a poke bowl back home and this place was $12! Also they have an extremely limited fish menu to add to your bowl. I'm used to having like 9 options. So if you have never had authentic poke I guess you wouldn't know better. But living in an extremely diverse city I should have known better than to order ethnic food in a very white town. So maybe they should just stick to their Americanized fast food chain joints. read more

Tokyo Joe's has been a place we've gone fairly regularly in several cities in NoCo. It's healthier than some other options and way less greasy than most quick options but it's too expensive to be something we do more often than once a month or so. Well, I wanted to give 3.5 stars but that isn't an option and Joe's deserves more than 3. I have been here about 5 times now and it has been very consistent. If you don't mind spending $10-12 for lunch, this is a good place. Their steak is a cut above what you'd normally get in a place like this and the flavors are good. I was so excited to try Tokyo Joe's poke bowl. I was so, so disappointed in this food. The poke bowl was extremely spicy (I have no idea what was in it that made it spicy), cold, and the seafood made me sick. Their California roll was on of the worst ones I've ever had. The rice was super sweet which clashed with the rest of the roll. The worst part was that 90% of the roll was rice, and it was mushy as well. I'm a member of the addict club, this was my first and last visit to this location. Every flavor on the fountain was Dr. Pepper, our order came out completely incorrect even thought on the receipt it was right, the process of correcting the mistakes took longer then it should have. In total there are 4 employees three of which were up front and only one in the back to prepare food. It seems there is no management. The general service was just worse then I am used too at the others I have been too.
