BEWARE!!!!! I went to Teriyaki Madness in Greeley for lunch on Sunday , December 22nd at 11:43am. Gentlemen at the counter took my order. I ordered one regular chicken bowl for $11.76 total. I ordered "To go". The machine prompted if i wanted to leave a "tip". I chose NO. I got a printed receipt in amount of $11.76. The next day, my transaction finally cleared my bank for $13.76. The male staff must have added an UNAUTHORIZED tip on my card for $2.00. I called my bank to file a claim. I will be calling the Teriyaki Madness corporate office to report this incident. Teriyaki Madness is a chain teriyaki place that serves different kinds of bowls. They are all over the place! I ordered 20 bowls for my work team and it didn't let me order online due to time restraints (this was two hours before closing time) so I called in and that wasn't the best experience. It didn't seem like the manager knew how to properly put in an order over phone. The food itself was not that great. The chicken was not very flavorful and the bowl was 70% rice, 20% chicken, 10% vegetables. The bowl wasn't edible without the sauce provided. read more

First time trying this place and was disappointed. Ordered two large two protein plates and both were incorrect. I thought I may have ordered wrong but as shown in pictures of both plates and receipts, it's correct. First plate Ordered- Teri steak/chicken katsu combo with white rice and stir fried veggies Received- Teri steak/Teri chicken with all broccoli Second plate ordered- Orange chicken/chicken katsu combo with white rice all broccoli Received-orange chicken/chicken breast with stir fried veggies. Upon receiving our bowls there was no teriyaki sauce. And when we asked the lady at the counter, she said that sometimes they have sauce and sometimes they don't? And then instructed us to use the sauce at the table. The bottle by the way was very gross. It had crust all over it! It was also very cold in the store as well. Recently (July/Aug 2023) teriyaki madness changed the beef they use in their beef dishes. It used to be tenderized chunks of fall-apart beef. Now it's thin strips of leathery lunch meat that is mostly gristle and fat. I tried the Johnstown and Greeley locations and both had this new meat that can best be described as looking like someone cut tongue depressors in half then mixed in some rubber bands so there would be two distinct textures. I'm guessing it was a cost saving effort from the sales reduction department. If you change it back, please reach out to me, so I will know it's safe to return, otherwise I'll eagerly be waiting to see what new restaurants lease your locations. read more

I will update this review after returning again because I understand they're just opening but the customer service and the utter lack of care that not only the management gave, but that the staff running around like headless chickens was unable to give, was beyond any dining experience I've ever had the nightmare of experiencing! Their food is mediocre, not any better than the other teriyaki options in the area, and they got my order wrong despite it being a customizable bowl. Now, I wouldn't even have written this review if it wasn't for the attitude that was passed around by every employee in the restaurant. The girl at the register was panicking because she couldn't balance the drawer so she asked a girl with a broom to take my order which was met with a "hang on I found a pair of purple sunglasses" at which point you would expect the "manager" to step in and say something like "oh hey let me take your order" or "hey, I'll find the owner of the glasses so someone can take care of this customer who has been waiting in an empty line for several minutes to order." But alas, none of this happened. I even stepped over to (what I assume was) a manager (who was less than 8 feet away of this entire interaction) and mentioned "wow, seems like you guys could use some help" to which it seemed like she agreed, however I think it was the first time she looked up from her paperwork to see what was actually going on in the restaurant. Like I said. I will return and give them another chance, perhaps in 5-6 months once they have their sea legs and their restaurant feels less like India on Holi. Chicken katsu was good, teriyaki chicken was fine but you missed the mark on the rice. Part of the white rice was scorched and worse, there were also clumps of hard, dried rice. Should be an easy fix. Hope you can do better. read more

Update again: still have not heard from management. I will not go here to this location with a serious food allergy!! Was a great opening day, and we returned several different times after that. I wrote this review on their FB page, and have not gotten a response YET from management after I told them I had left my name and phone number. Maybe management or owners will pay more attention to this site. Not following gluten free cross contamination protocol is a serious issue. You say your restaurant has gf options, yet you don't take it seriously and most of the staff don't realize the seriousness of it!! See the update below to see what I'm talking about! I'm honestly scared to have my daughter, who has Celiac, order ANYTHING there ever again!! Cant trust any of it to not be full of gluten even if they say it is gf. Your staff simply doesn't care! Update: It's been a month since you've opened. We've ordered many times and each time with a gluten free restriction item. Twice I've been told by two different employees that everything is gluten free. I've explained to them that one of the managers even corrected the last employee the last time about this. Please educate your employees what exactly gluten free means and that includes cross contamination! I've heard the manager say that it needs to be designated gluten free! This can be a serious issue! Not happy! This was opening day review: Great food!! Had the chicken teriyaki bowl and my daughter had the same bit with gluten free restriction. Unless you are trying to get yourself or your entire family sick, sick, REALLY SICK then skip this location. I was so excited when they opened up just across the street from me. I gave them three chances and each time I was sick for days afterwards. REALLY SICK. My daughter and son in law suffered the same. The food didn't taste bad at all. The stars are for the flavor and amount of food. The ambiance leaves a lot to be desired especially when it is cold outside. We had to go sit in our car to be able to enjoy our lunch. The door has a huge gap in it. The thermostat is set at 72 but is back near the cooking surface. read more

Read their reviews that orders take a long time so I avoid that and have only ever ordered takeout. There were a few times I had to wait past my expected time but not by much. Food is good not great. Sometimes it'll say they are out of egg rolls online but they weren't actually out. So ask in person just in case. read more

After a somewhat long wait, they actually gave me teriyaki steak over noodles. I figured might as well try it rather than wait another 10 minutes even though I was the only customer in the store. This was our first trip to this restaurant. It was very busy with a lot of people standing around waiting for orders. The ordering process was slow. There was a confrontational incident with a guy who had been waiting over 30min for his order and he had blocked in other patrons with his vehicle and refused to move his car. After a scene was made the staff finally refunded his order. We waiting about 20min for our order to be finished after 10min waiting to order for 2 adults. I got a white meat chicken bowl and the chicken was really dry and almost not edible like it was in a oven for the past 8 hrs. As another review stated not once in the 20min we were there did I see any table being cleaned. I don't think we'll return. I will be surprised if this place lasts 6 months. read more

Went here for dinner with a friend as we got coupons at work and wanted to try it out got our food home and the veggies were okay the meat was extremely over-seasoned you could wipe clumps of it off with your fingers and there was so much liquid in the rice it was like a salt water the rice was sitting in felt like I was eating salt water after 10 mins my mouth still burns from the amount of salt and I only had a few bites hoping it would get better throughout the bowl and it did not not good mention the terrible service read more

Food was good, but..... this place just opened a couple weeks ago and is extremely dirty inside. Tables not wiped down and seats were sticky. Came here to grab a quick dinner last Wednesday and had the worst experience. After waiting 45 minutes for my takeout order, I come to find out that they lost my order after I asked the cashier why my order was taking so long. She gave me a condescending apology and rolled her eyes. My husband said this was ridiculous and said I should ask for a refund. She overheard and very rudely gave me a card for a free bowl and walked away. When I was ready to demand a refund, she practically threw my order at me and said here you go. I needed to get out of there and did not want to make a scene but this is no way to do business. Needless to say I will not be returning. Service is horrible for mediocre food. read more

I ordered for curbside and got to establishment at correct time and responded on my phone and parked in front. I waited 17 minutes, thinking they may be busy but then went in to inquire. There was my order on the pickup shelf and not the "curbside" shelf. I asked cashier how long my order had been sitting there and she replied 5 minutes but looking at the receipt it showed it has been 17 minutes! I talked to cashier and handled it like a training moment so hopefully it would not happen again. I left and got to the Lowe's and pulled over to check my order. Sure enough they had missed the 2 orders of dumplings. Obviously I went back to the site and had to wait for the missing dumplings to be cooked. I got the Manager's name and phone number, Shavone, and called the next day but had to leave a message. I requested a callback and am still waiting.
