Chicken katsu curry
Enrique A.

Every time I have come here, I have left satisfied. Amazing food quality and taste. I love ordering the takoyaki. Such great flavor. The VietNom fries are a no brainer pick. The beef yakisoba is one of the best dishes I've had anywhere, but what shined the brightest for me is the chicken Katsu curry and chicken katsu ramen. Both have such phenomenal flavors. That curry first bite was pure bliss. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. It is worth a try. Service is always great, have never had any complaints. On busy days there will be a wait as most of the time I see one person holding down the whole front, but be assured the wait is so worth it! Lighting on the inside is nice and dark, makes a great date night. Lastly, can't forget the matcha cheesecake! Just exquisite.

Grilled pork sando, it was good but I think I would of preferred the bai mi

It was my friend's birthday and she loves sushi, so decided to give them a try for lunch. The restaurant is beautiful. The menu has a lot of options. Everything was great! KHANG was our server and he was so friendly. Before tip it was $59, and we left stuffed! Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I am so glad to see a restaurant in Oklahoma serving up some sandos! My favorite was the ube coconut sando it was not too sweet and the bread itself is delicious and soft. The Viet-NOM fries were also a hit, they were full of flavor! I was able to meet the owners and they were very nice and helpful. The service was excellent! The restaurant itself is cute and dim, like what you would expect at most sushi restaurants. I would definitely recommend eating here and don't forget to try a sando (or two).

I love this place. The crab Rangoon is absolutely the nest I have ever had. The wrapper can hardly contain all the creamy goodness inside. I also recommend the Baby gecko roll. Jalapeño goodness. Wife had the combo poke bowl with tuna, shrimp and salmon. Delish. One of my favorite but simple appetizers is edamame. This is steamed and plant salt...love it. You need to make a weekly trip here. Especially for lunch.

Owner is working alone , she told us ahead of time , is a bit of wait. Pork ramen sushi is pretty legit , broth is on point, but could use a bit more noodle. I had 4 egg rolls before this and I am still hungry.

Me and my mom with a ton of sushi (3rd person who is helping eat not pictured).

Mid-range Japanese food for mid-range price point. The sushi is decent. Not the best, but definitely not anywhere close to the worst. That being said, they have a great lunch menu and great value options. For example, they have pork ramen for $3. Is it even half as good as Tamashii or Goro? No, but it's $3 and I don't have to commit to it for the whole meal. Actually, I think I'm making that the point of my whole review. I like this place because there's a $3 pork belly ramen. Anything I order will be accompanied by a $3 pork belly ramen. Also, any place with sake also increases the goodness of the rest of the food. In closing, it's decent/okay, good for the price, and $3 pork belly ramen. $3 Pork Belly Ramen

**Another review during COVID. I must say that my rating scale has gone up during the pandemic & my expectations have lowered a bit - mostly because we don't experience as much dine-in but also because I know businesses are struggling to stay afloat. Let's talk about Tokyo Moon. They don't do dine-in yet so we did take out. We actually found this spot in a FB foodie page while searching for some Japanese street food called Okinomiyaki. It's a Japanese pancake stuffed with meat, cabbage etc. The one Tokyo Moon has is seafood. Here's our order: -Seafood Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pancake): Shrimp, Scallop, Crawfish, Cabbage, Bonito Flakes, Scallion, Okonomi Sauce, Japanese Mayo This was our first time trying this dish and we loved it! I can see why this is a popular street food. It was filled with seafood and the sauces & bonito flakes add the perfect creaminess and flavors to compliment the pancake. My girls downed this. -Vietnamese Crispy Pancake (Banh Xeo): 2 Pancakes per order. Shrimp, Beansprout, Yellow Onion with sides of Cucumber, Lettuce, Fresh Herbs, with dipping sauce. This was probably a favorite with my son. He and his mother went to town on this one. It wasn't filled to the brim with shrimp like I had heard from others. Ours was mostly bean sprouts so if sprouts is not your thing, this isn't a good dish for you. It's super crispy if you eat it immediately and the dipping sauce tastes like fish sauce broth that cuts through the oiliness. The pickled veggies are a refreshing side in between the fried bites. I personally found this a bit too greasy for my taste but I also realize that a fried dish sitting for any amount will get soft and feel even more oily so be sure to eat this quick. Carry out isn't the best way to eat this unfortunately. The bottom pancake was mush while the top one was crispy. The flavors were spot on though. -Ginger Ika: Pan Fried Squid with House Soy Ginger Sauce. This was eaten by everyone. It's a simple dish but very gingery. I noticed that biting into the ginger is a bit bitter so we shook off the ginger but the squid itself is great. A beautiful dish and fun to eat. Thank you, Tokyo Moon, for offering items not available anywhere else.

I really wanted to like Tokyo Moon and based on everyone's review, I was super excited for my order. Long story short, I absolutely hated most of my order. With COVID19, I did take out. Maybe that's where I went wrong? Ordering was very easy through online and when they realized they could not fulfill my order of Boba tea, they called me right away to see if I wanted a substitution. There were two staff members and they were both very nice. There were signs that they will be open for dining on weekends but it was empty. I ordered the seafood okonomiyaki and that was delicious. It was packaged really well and stayed very crispy. I thought there was a good amount of seafood and you definitely have it in every bite. I would recommend asking for less fish flakes but that's my personal preference. It was swimming in it. Now to the sushi. I had a major craving and got the Tokyo Garden. It features an assortment of nigiri and the hot lips roll, spider roll and Tokyo roll. It looked great and I was so excited (and also, do hungry). Upon first bite of the nigiri, instant regret and suspicion. The rice was hard. Wondering if it was just a fluke, I sampled a few more pieces, and the rice was hard and flavor less. Desperately, I moved onto the rolls. Surely, since they were covered in sauce, it would help the terrible rice. It didn't. I was confused and looked again and saw that the rolls were almost all rice. I might venture again for their cooked entree but never again for sushi. I spent $80 just to throw away 75% of the meal. Opinions are subjective so I included a picture before I got mad and threw my order in the trash.

The Sushi Bar - Memorial Road OKC…read more Let me start with this... If I can convince my wife to try something called the "Naughty Girl Roll"... you already know we're off to a strong start From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what you want in a sushi spot--comfortable, relaxed, and not trying too hard to be something it's not. Just good energy and a place you can actually enjoy your meal. Our server Juan? Spot on. Attentive without hovering, checked in at all the right times, and kept things moving smoothly. Let's Talk Food Naughty Girl Roll This is the one. Tempura shrimp, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with baked salmon, spicy mayo, sweet sauce, masala, and scallions. Rich? Yes. Over-the-top? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. This is the roll you order when you want to convert someone into a sushi fan. Ikura (Salmon Roe) This one was all mine--and that's probably for the best. If you're into that briny pop and clean ocean flavor, this hits. If not... no shame in sitting this one out. Norwegian Mackerel A really well-balanced dish. Cooked just right, paired with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and white rice. Clean, flavorful, and a nice break from the heavier rolls. Bento Box My wife's choice--and honestly, a smart one. If you're not feeling adventurous, this gives you variety without stepping too far outside your comfort zone. The Verdict This place checks all the boxes: Flavor Variety Service Atmosphere Whether you're a sushi regular or just dipping your toe in, The Sushi Bar delivers.

This is real sushi -- high-quality nigiri and fresh fish that honestly doesn't even need soy sauce. If your idea of sushi is mainly fried rolls covered in sauce, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you truly appreciate fresh fish, clean flavors, and traditional-style sushi, you'll love it here. It's definitely quality over quantity, and yes, you get what you pay for. This isn't a cheap all-you-can-eat sushi place, but the freshness and quality absolutely justify the price. I'll definitely be back.

You have to prepay for both the omakase and a 20% gratuity. I've never seen gratuity prepaid before, so I just wanted to point that out. We made reservations for Mother's Day at 6:30 PM and arrived about 7 minutes before our reservation time. There was another couple already seated at the counter. This restaurant is a chef's counter experience only for the time being. I think Chef Sonny only accepts 6 or 7 people at a time since I only noticed 6 seats. Anyway, we were served beverages immediately, and shortly after, started the 12-course meal. I thought everything tasted amazing. If I had to nitpick, I'd say I wasn't fond of the tempura scallop and the steamed dish afterward. They were both fine, but for me lacked flavor. However, I am not deducting a star for this because I also have POTS and have to eat a very high-sodium diet, so it could have just been me. The rest of the omakase, or "Oklahomakase," experience was perfection. My husband and I both agreed that this is our new favorite restaurant. Fun fact: Chef Sonny used to work at Nobu Miami! I thought that was super cool, and it's no wonder his skill level is elite! I agree with everyone else on Yelp--hands down the best sushi in Oklahoma. Please go and support him so, we don't lose this neighborhood gem!
