We come to this place once a week love it!! Great sushi always fresh and always consistent in presentation and service... Very good service we go when its less crowded for they don't have much help during the day but its way slower busy on friday nights and weekends but service is deff good and sushi is great Favorites: lobster roll Japanese burrito spicy tuna inside and paper outside delicious Rainbow and Boston.... AYCE sushi comes with salad and soup also included is appetizers ( edema me, dragon ball, gyoza etc..) has booths or table and chairs... Music is always rockin! Led Zeppelin, journey!!! Very great decor... big fish tank very pretty! i do think they should hire another waitress the one thats their always looks overworked but still so sweet....giving this place a 5 star because its consistent and its freshness and service...

Sushi here is so good . I've gone to 3 other sushi bars and have been disappointed . Only place I go now .

What a mess! The food was allright but like others have said, customer service is a joke. 5 of us spent $100 for dinner - 3 all you can eat. We were stuffed after two of our 3 allowed rounds (BTW-Is that really All You Can Eat?? What if we weren't full after that?) When we couldnt eat another bite there were about 5 slices left of the 9 rolls (plus sashimi) ordered. I asked for a to-go box and was told no- you cant take anything home. I asked" So even though I paid for it and cant finish it, I can't take this little bit home? ?" Waitress acted really uncomfortable and deffered to the manager. I asked the same question and got the same answer. Then I actually said " So you are going to throw this away instead of letting me take my unfinished dinner home??!!" She said "Yes we throw away. You cannot take it home." I said "Even though I paid for it??" She replied "Yes even though". I said "Well this is the last time I ever come here" and she replied " Ok thanks for coming." The rule is obviously so that people dont get to the third round and order a ton of food for tomorrow's lunch. That makes sense and youd have to be a little selfish to do that anyway!!!! This was obviously the last 5 bites that 5 people couldn't possibly stuff down. Rather than throw good food away, you let your customers take it home!! I say you need an IQ test before they let you near the rule book. One should be able to discern the intention of the rule, and apply it to every circumstace!!!! If you aren't smart enough to not insult your customers intelligence then you don't deserve business. The food was pretty good. I personally will never spend another dollar there. Ask Bobs Big Boy and Shakeys Pizza if i've ever been back and they'll tell you NO and they would be correct!! Bad customer service - no tip and kiss my rear-end goodbye!!!!

Absolutely love this place! I've been here many, many times. It's always a great experience, and the rolls are top notch! This is definitely the best sushi place I've been to. I highly recommend it.

I always get all you can eat. They put too much rice in their nigiri and slice their fish too thin. For what they serve I feel that the price for all you can eat is too much. Their rolls are decent and their service is decent. I love Yellow Tail and their yellow tail tasted spoiled/rottened. Keep in mind, me being an avid ninja sushi eater from Las Vegas, my standard for sushi is higher than locals here. 2 ninja stars is what I throw at this restaurant. This will be my last time coming here.

We ordered the Golden Crispy, the Hawaiian and the Sweetheart rolls. They were all delicious! The service was horrible at first. The first girl never cracked a smile with us or anyone else. She was definitely in the wrong business! I asked if I order from her or the sushi bar, since we were seated at the bar. She said either but when I tried to order from the bar, he told me to order from one of the two girls. I ordered from the second one b/c she, at least, had some personality. She was more pleasant to deal with. However, neither should have been in a forward-facing customer service position. Strangely, hard to tell who oversees the servers but the only other staff present were the sushi chefs and they seemed oblivious to the lowsy service. IMO customer service is almost as important and the food quality, hence 3 stars. This was on a Thursday night and there was no seating, only sushi bar. They are obviously popular since the food is great, but you have to be willing to put up with the service. Will definitely be back, but maybe best to order for pickup and dine at home.

I sensed something exciting was going to happen -- but relying entirely on word of mouth. Flash-forward to early 2026, where readers of the local weekly paper named this the Best Sushi of Redlands. I was so excited, and as my visit last week demonstrates -- things have only improved. KYO SUSHI was packed at 5PM on a Tuesday. Not only slammed, but standing room only. I don't know what happened but I'm so happy for them. Two subtle changes have happened and I'm all for them. A LOCAL NEWS channel sharing dreadful stories on the TV has been swapped for hi-def reels of lovely Asian spots, making our escape from the crazy world we live in complete. As an extra touch, we are now treated to soothing jazz, which helps in a room with so many happy customers. A special shout out to Sia, who greets regulars like family and will help you get exactly what you need. Hi to Wendy and the new young lady, all keeping a close eye on customer happiness. I believe KYO is on the brink of having outgrown this location, but a lease is likely keeping them there for a while. It's a shame they can't move next door into the old Von's location -- lol -- because what a place that would be. Enough room in their to farm the fish. Pro Tip -- try the Megan Fox roll!

Kyo Sushi was okay. I may have gone in with higher expectations because of the 4.7 rating on Yelp,…read morebut overall it felt a little overhyped. The roll presentation was very good, and visually the food looked great. The plates came out clean, colorful, and nicely arranged. Flavor-wise though, the rolls were fairly bland. The house mayo tasted like regular mayo, which isn't necessarily bad, but I guess I was expecting something with a little more going on, maybe closer to a spicy mayo or some kind of signature sauce. We also ordered a Philly roll, but were brought the Philly "Pro" instead. The Pro is deep fried, which I wasn't expecting, and I took a bite without realizing how hot it was and almost burned my mouth. I did mention that "Philly roll" and "Philly Pro" are close enough in name that I could see wrong orders happening pretty easily. Service was direct and decent. Nothing bad, just more to-the-point than warm or memorable. I'd probably give this place another shot, because it seemed like we may have gotten caught in a rush all at once. Not terrible by any means, and the presentation was definitely a strong point, but it wasn't quite the standout experience I was expecting.

So, of course, I look on Yelp and came across Nko Niko sushi, which is regarded as one of the best sushi spots in Redlands. I actually went as far as double checking on reddit and the votes were definitely in! This place seemed legit so I had to try it. It's located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the area, while Niko Niko is tucked away near the water fountains out front. As I arrived, they quickly sat me at the bar area and my typical rainbow roll and I tried their snow cone roll. The rolls were so good and the fish was fresh! I loved the sweet sauce that was added to the snow cone roll. After about 20 mins, the chef, who's name is Yaser, started asking me what my favorite fish is and why I like it. I told him Albacore and he instantly makes me some concoction with ponzu sauce which was fire. He then asked me if I like salmon and I told him yes and he makes me a seared salmon roll with orange sauce and pepper. By this time I'm stuffed but enjoying this experience. He made going to a sushi restaurant interesting again like when I first tried sushi. We start talking about Japan and he ask me if I ever had salmon skin. I tell him absolutely not and that when I bake salmon I usually take the skin off. He then tells me that I HAVE to try a salmon skin handroll so I figured I should just go with it. My mind was blown!! I actually like salmon skin lol. It was so good! Overall, I had an amazing experience at Niko Niko and Chef Yaser. I left him a generous tip for the experience and he changed the way I will forever dine at a sushi bar now. If you're in the area, please stop at Niko for some fresh tasty sushi and an excellent sushi experience with sushi chef's that know what they're doing. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

The Karaage Chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce for it make it chefs kiss. It was sweet, tangy, and had a little heat to it. I loved the crispiness of the gyoza dumplings but some people might feel they're too crispy. I had to get the Gyu set again. It comes with Filet Mignon Miso butter, Kalbi, and Shaved Ribeye. It also comes with Shishito Peppers and Mushrooms. You grill these items to your liking. That yuzu butter on those filet mignon medallions is fire. The meat is so tender and I suggest preparing it to medium rare. The kabli comes marinated and it gives it a nice sweet glaze after grilling. I like these with a little char on the edges. The shaved ribeye has no flavor but I like to grill it with a little bit of the dipping sauce poured on it. The service was amazing. Yvette was our waitress again and she's absolutely fabulous. I will always request her if she's on shift! She's tentative and on point with her level of service. The ambiance has an Asian contemporary feel. There's TVs with closed caption to watch, artwork on the walls, and during the day the natural lighting comes through nicely. They do offer a happy hour but we missed it.
