Chicken & Beef

Fast service. I was greeted very nicely the ambiance was nice chill atmosphere. The food was good amount of rice. Thank you

Beef was cooked perfectly and the sushi was delicious

This little place is a nice quaint and quiet little place for dinner. I almost missed it as it is tucked away. The décor is very cool, walked in and it just felt relaxed and calm. With that in mind I decided to have dinner there instead of to-go. The young lady at the counter taking the order was very friendly, she made sure the sushi chef knew not to put any cucumbers in my sushi roll as I am allergic to them. I found a little table, listened to a dad and his son just rave about their meal, and how full they were getting. I didn't even open my soda to take a sip yet and my sushi was ready and looked great. Next, my Teriyaki Beef with fried rice showed up! Thought it looked a little skimpy for the fried rice but didn't realize there was way more under the beef. Everything was great, loved the the flavor of everything I ordered. Price wasn't that bad a swell considering this is a busy area for tourists. This place had several open tables but a lot of call in for pick ups. Locals must like it too!!!

Chicken Katsu

I've only ever ordered take out Chicken Katsu from here so I can't speak on dine in presentation, but the Katsu is on point. There's a quiet little dining area inside and the staff is very friendly.

If I could give this place, zero stars I would, because it isn't even deserving of one star. This was the chicken stirfry I basically just ate cabbage and rice for lunch. I had about maybe 6 quarter size pieces of chicken. Super terrible. This is sad, $14.50 for this plate? This is tragic. Oh she also charged me for a bag because I took it to go? Never heard of that one.. We will never go here again. Dry chicken, oily veggies as you can see, brunt rice.

The food is good but not worth the price. Too expensive for teriyaki and especially the chicken katsu

The food always tastes awesome and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. And just a few more words as the review wants me to say more.

Joan, the owner and chef, is absolutely amazing. She made me feel like a genuine guest in her home rather than just another customer, checking in with such warmth and care throughout the meal. You can tell how much passion and skill she pours into every dish. If you love sushi bowls and sushi rolls, this is an absolute must-visit. Everything came out fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Between the food and Joan's hospitality, this easily earns a 10 out of 10 in my book -- I just wish Yelp let me give more than 5 stars! Can't wait to go back.

The Seared Tuna Bowl tasted sooooo fresh I wish I had more! The ginger dressing really added an extra element of flavor to what was already such a yummy tuna. This was wonderful in both flavor and texture. I also tried their Cantaloupe Spritzer. A refreshing drink that was sweet and bubbly! Service was friendly and I was checked on to make sure everything was satisfying to taste. There's a mix of bar and table seating with nice music playing in the background making this a great stop to chat for lunch or enjoy the garden views if you're taking yourself solo.

Don't fret- there is a salad and hot bar to kill time with :) otherwise it's good quality for the price. I wasn't fond of the shabushabu so much - sukiyaki broth is exactly that sweet broth or the other is a tonkatsu broth so maybe savory. Still great for the price. Not much dessert tho but it's alright. Different tiers to order from as well, we got the gold tier that covers all and there is a silver tier also depending on what you want to eat.

As it started out of the kitchen in individual orders, like tapas, the first thing I noticed were the small portion sizes. Okay, it's all you can eat, so no big deal. But the quality was so poor I tasted several of the dishes and discarded them. Fried California roll, fried chicken, not edible. The beef was all stringy, fibrous, gristle, not fit to eat. I finally found Gyoza on the food bar and filled up on those. I am really dissapointed... The quality is so low but I like the concept. If they can bring the quality of the food up by several hundred percent, I might come back. Don't waste your money on food that isn't edible.

Perfect dishes for the day, warm and so yummy. We had a Tan Tan shrimp and a Tonkatsu, with no additions although it was tempting to amend! The ramen broth is very rich and each was different. You have the option to add sesame oil, chili oil, a delicious soy sauce, 3 kinds of pepper in shakers and a fresh grind of sesame seeds. The egg is cooked to perfection - whites solid and the yolk mostly cooked with the center soft and creamy. A small dish of edamame is served as an appetizer. The staff are friendly and the food was served by the chef with a smile. We enjoyed watching the dishes being created. You might have a wait on a busy day but it is definitely worth it.

Nestled behind the main walking areas, you can follow the street signs to this restaurant. We arrived just before they opened for the evening from 4:30pm. It is not a large restaurant but we were early. Bright and cheerful interior with shelves of Japanese sweets and some souvenirs on the side. Our favorite and go-to is the tonkotsu which has the thicker pork bone broth. We have not visited for a year or so and the price has gone up while the volume seemed to have gone down. Nevertheless the taste was great and we were satisfied with the meal.

Dude looks like a sushi It was so hard to put in my mouth that I had to eat it with a dang fork!!!! Haha! I'm used to eating sushi with chop sticks! It was pretty tasty. Again you are getting sushi in a food truck not something from a restaurant so don't expect something so extravagant, but it's good for what you get. It was pretty tasty for what I got I believe and the guy is super nice, even offered to make any kind of speciality roll I wanted so I asked for avocados on my rolls and that hit good! That truck is also eye catching!

So I couldn't wait to check them out! Sadly, it took awhile to figure out where to find them. Initially it was announced they'd be at North Sound Brewing on the weekends. But I stopped there twice and... no truck. I looked for updates on social media, but (alas) still couldn't seem to sync up with them. Then, one random weeknight, we headed to Barley & Brew in Sedro Woolley to see a comedy show, and there was Karuma. Score! At the time, I was recovering from a tummy bug, and didn't want to eat raw fish yet, so I ordered a California Roll and got a beeper to await my order. 45 minutes later... it was ready. And...it was delish. Not to mention HUGE! I couldn't even finish it. Since they're new, I'll give them grace on the long wait and hard-to-findness. But I do hope to run into them again soon (maybe, finally, at North Sound) and give some of their other tasty sounding sushi a try!
