We were not impressed with dragon roll, and it fell apart the minute we picked it up with the chop sticks. We loved the crunch roll & baked salmon roll. We also ordered the Teriyaki plate. It was OK, I would not order again. Everything was enough for 2 people & a toddler. The teas are a must try. The Thai tea and the peach green tea had the perfect sweetness. They have ayce on Sunday and Wednesday for $29.99. Special deals on weekdays and weekends(cost a little more). Their fish is fresh and rolls are delicious! I love their jalapeños bombs. Their marsh is good but need 3x the sauce because they provided one small 2 oz cup that is probably only good for three slices. If you purchase a gift card, you will get 10% off when you use it. I removed one star only because I called in consistently for 20 minutes. When I arrived there. There was no one in line or at the place. It's a nice small place very well decorated they have a pair of swords on a wall looking very hiyaa. This place has changed owners and it reflects on the food items as they are not consistent , the rolls are very tasty and fresh, was not a fan of the tempura batter on the tempura veggies and my son was not a fan of the beef bento, said the beef was chewy and tasted old. The workers speak very little English so it's tough to communicate extras or custom asks but they try and are friendly. Over all I think the place is decent for the area in serves prices are not ridiculous high and they are trying to find what works for the current owners not the worst not the best but solid middle for Americanized sushi read more

This review is based on food alone as no dine in is allowed during the COVID19 Safer At Home initiatives. I placed an order on the phone for an Alaska Roll, Rainbow Roll, Vegas Roll. It took about 20 minutes from phone call to preparation. Restaurant is easily to locate as it's in the Home Depot Plaza and it's near the Game Stop, Starbucks, McDonald's Area of the plaza. Parking is plenty and isn't an issue here. The decor of the restaurant is that it's very clean and modern. It is bright which gives it a good vibe and also has Japanese decor inside to give it the nice vibes. The food itself was great. Upon opening my package of food, I was greeted with complementary Salad, Edamame, and Miso Soup. They also give me soy sauce packet, chopsticks, ginger, and wasabi. The rolls itself were delicious, lots of fish on the inside and outside, and balanced with the rice. The fish is high quality and is sushi grade. The raw fish isn't tough and dry and there is no fishy taste or smell. The rice is high quality as well since it isn't dry and tough to eat. This place also offers sashimi, rice bowls, udon, ramen, and bento boxes to fill your needs of different Japanese food. They also offer all you can eat for a very good price. I will definitely try that once the COVID19 incident is over. They also accept card for payment. Overall 5/5, definitely check this place out for your Sushi needs! read more

Due to the Safer at Home order, all food must be made to be picked up in store, curbside, or in a drive thru. Tokyo Express Sushi offers call in and pick up orders from ramen, udon noodles, to even fresh sushi. I was pretty skeptical about trying sushi from a place that was 3.5 stars and via take out. There's a whole stigma behind it being bad or not fresh. Wow! I was definitely blown away by the quality and presentation of the sushi. After placing an order via phone, pick up time was in about 20 minutes. Once getting home with the goods I was super excited to see what the sushi looked like. Were the rolls smalls, are the rice to protein ratio off? Is it worth the price I paid? I had a bunch of questions. Well let's say the rolls were pretty decent size! Can't complain. Rice to seaweed to protein ratio was on point. Meaning not a lot of rice as fillers. Presentation was better than I expected. The raw fish was fresh. No fishy taste or smell. Plus, as you eat the sushi each bite just melts in your mouth. It was room temperature/close to your body temperature. I was expecting cold refrigerator sushi, but this sushi was in a whole another level. I would eat here for their AYCE once we can dine in again. Not sure why the low rating on Yelp, but I took a chance and found a great place for take out sushi! To top it off you get a nice cup of complimentary miso soup, edamame, and side salad. Wow!
