This is my families and I goto Togo order destination for rolls or bowls. Have seated once inside not to long ago and service was good there is a blonde server who made our experience great. Even Togo orders she is usually the one who helps us. "You're appreciated". Quality has not been a disappointment. Usually order basic rolls and the rice bowls. Been to this place a couple times. Both times they were pretty busy and I took my order to-go. One suggestion, if you're ordering to-go, that you call the order in, otherwise, you'll be waiting while. First visit, did have an issue with my order, however, they kindly resolved it. The rolls are all very fresh and good. My friend and I tried the shrimp tempura, highly recommended as an appetizer. If you don't want anything too spicy, suggest you ask if anything you're ordering is spicy. One of the rolls I ordered was a little too spicy but I got through it. Visited this place while Yelping for a good place to eat as I was passing by Santa Clarita and the the Yelpers got it right again! This place had 4 stars on yelp with great reviews about the great attitude and attentiveness of the chef and they were right! First the service was amazing by Chef Jo! He was very personable and talked to us while having dinner at the sushi bar. He went above and beyond to make our experience a great one and made us feel at home. The sushi was high quality sushi and very flavorful! The ambiance was nice, cozy sushi place with great service! Overall, this was perhaps one of my best sushi experiences. The good: They have a large outdoor patio area for dine-in in what used to be the parking lot. I ordered online from their website and it was easy and straight forward. I tried the tuna and scallop hand rolls for $5.50 each. They were fresh and simple. They weren't the best hand rolls I've had but they were definitely not skimpy on the amount of fish. Their menu is very large and offers a wide variety of sushi. I also tried octopus, ponzu tuna, sashimi salad and a few other varieties of raw fish. They gave plenty of ginger and wasabi. I'll definitely come back again and try more specialty rolls. The bad: My order took a little longer to be ready than predicted. The interesting: They also have poke, udon, ramen and bento boxes. I definitely will go back again. I dined by myself this time and ordered two sushi rolls: one Mexican roll and the 911 roll. Steven was fantastic and helped me with my order. The ladies were very polite and asked me if I wanted more hot tea or needed anything else. I bought him a drink; he was so kind. He even gave me a Cucumber salad to offset the heat. The service at the bar is really friendly. They accommodated my attempts to feed a picky toddler. They made a small bite sized shrimp roll and tempura salmon. I used to come here when I was in high school, but hadn't been In quite some time. I decided to give it a shot, and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the 911 roll, spicy tuna roll, and a California roll (with added mango slices). This is also the only sushi location in SCV that I have found to have mango slices as an option on their sushi rolls. (I go to a local spot in Santa Monica that offers California mango rolls, and have become OBSESSED so I was THRILLED to find a place closer to me that offers that!) The restaurant itself is a decent size with a good amount of seating. I have only recently picked up take out, and it has always been ready on-time, and packaged correctly. He was also impatient with our orders. Almost all of our orders were served quickly, with a couple rolls taking much longer. The ambiance was all right. It's in a good location with the restaurant having a modern interior. There are some nice Japanese decorations here and there as well. However, our table was all the way on the right, which seemed to be near a door leading outside. We could constantly hear the door slamming. Overall, the restaurant was okay. Have been here a couple times since it's within walking distance from my house, but my most recent order was disappointing. I had the sashimi salad, albacore roll, crunch roll, and the salmon skill roll. Salad and albacore roll were nice. Crunch roll was very meh (and I had the food within 5-10 minutes of it coming out). The salmon skill roll was the greatest offender though-- I understand it's supposed to be crispy, but this was BURNT. Every piece had skin that tasted like charcoal. I'll come by another time to give it another chance since it's close, but if it weren't for the past times my food has been decent, this would've been a 1 star review. Seriously, looking at that salmon could put carcinogens in your system. read more

This is our go-to sushi place when we're visiting from out of state! The sushi chefs perform their magic to create beautiful plates of rolls! Our favorite rolls are the 911 roll (loaded with spicy tuna), baked salmon roll, and dragon roll. All are flavorful and fresh. Most don't even need to be dipped in a soy sauce / wasabi mixture! Lovely experience every time. We sat at the bar and the sushi chef was always checking in on us and seeing if we wanted anything else. As much as we wanted to plow through a few more rolls after the 3 we already had, we'll have to explore different ones next time. A must try! read more

Got sushi for take out last night - thank you Tokyo for having multiple signs advertising that you were open, you were doing take out and that you are offering 15% off! Trying to support local businesses with everything going on right now and was pleasantly surprised to see how many take out orders they had when we arrived. Ordered the rainbow, saugus and valencia rolls. They were all satisfying and had great flavors. I especially like when places don't skimp on size when you get take out, which totally happens. We ordered alotttt of food and it was ready in about 25-30 minutes which was fair. The yellowtail nigiri was especially good, and the one we got wasn't either of the two types of yellowtail belly they had so I can only imagine how good those are. Shoutout for the little bit of extra fish added to our order. My boyfriend liked the miso, saying it tasted less watery than many other places and it was a nice extra that was included without cost. The employees were very friendly and thanked us multiple times for coming in. Overall, good selection, the 15% off was really nice to offer and the sushi was good. Definitely coming back (and not just because it is across the street from our apartment :p ) PS: It would make us so happy if one day all you can eat is offered :) read more
