Not only was it a good deal, but the quality of food was good. The teriyaki chicken was cook nicely and the sauce was well made and sweet. The Cali rolls were very fresh! They had a sweet and sour sauce for the sides which I loved. The service was good! Employees were nice and the food didn't take long to make. They also offer complimentary egg drop soups! The Chicken Teriyaki is great, very delicious and a large amount of chicken provided. The pickled vegetables are a good palette cleanser. This by itself would be a 4-star. I'm a bit frustrated because their website has example pictures of each dish, and their photo for almond chicken shows the standard deep fried, crispy chicken with almond sauce. When we got home and opened our food, we had a stir fried chicken breast with vegetables and a light sauce mixed in. I called the restaurant thinking we got the wrong order and they said that we got the right thing and they don't deep fry their almost chicken, they stir fry it. I had the honey garlic chicken and she had the general tso's. Both meals included the same pre-cooked and frozen breaded chicken which was very low grade and tasteless. The first red flag should have been that the meals were done in just a couple of minutes... Microwaved I presume. Both meals had large portions and were hotter than the surface of the sun. Enjoyed the scrumptious and light crunchy mouth feel of the sexy roll and the warm pillowy sweet goodness of the baked scallop roll. Both very different yet delicious in its own unique way. The nigiri here is good too if you like the more pure way of eating sushi. They are not a full on sushi bar though if you want variety, go to Best in Duvall for this area. For a teriyaki place, this is excellent sushi and you do get a plethora of rolls to choose from at a decent price point. $12.95 to $14.95 per roll as of June 2023. Their food came out immediately so it had been cooked already. the chicken was unforrtualey very dry. and not very hot..Just warm. flavor was ok. it was middle of the road taste but not really spicy. The facility is very dirty. I used the restroom and the door was black and sticky where people have touched it. the bathroom was not very clean either. We frequently visit here until our last visit. While I understand costs are going up, the quality has tanked. The service is good, the gal working the counter is always pleasant and the man working the kitchen is such a hard worker but I can't get past our recent visit of the order of noodles was 90% thin sliced cabbage and the portions have dramatically shrunk. I'd rather see the prices increased to continue to get the portions and keep the quality vs watching places like this have to cut corners to stay in business. We sadly won't be returning because there was simply no excuse for the order of noodles to be more cabbage than noodles. They used to have a good variety of carrots, broccoli, onions, cabbage and ample noodles but this time not so much. Recently our local town FB group had a "best sushi in the area" discussion. The overall consensus was there wasn't a great place nearby and it'd be best to go to Everett or Seattle for more options. This was before I had discovered Tokyo Teriyaki & Wok, or else I'd have chimed in with a big shout out for these guys. My daughter had told us about this place, but she doesn't like sushi and had only tried the teriyaki. We'd found another place we liked for teriyaki and hadn't even thought about checking this place out. The other day my husband really wanted nigiri so I did a deeper search for sushi in our local area. The photos for Tokyko Teriyaki & Wok looked good and - wow - they have more than rolls (he doesn't like rolls). So hey, we thought we'd give them a try. I'm so happy we did! Their sushi (rolls and nigiri) are delicious. The fish is fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and they have loads of choices - even octopus & squid! As some other reviewers have said, they have a huge pan-Asian menu, which is probably why I didn't consider them for sushi options. Usually in a strip-mall teriyaki place, in my experience, if they serve all Asian styles, they don't do much more than a California roll as a sushi option. Not this place - they have great options. And wonderful service - so friendly and helpful. We can't stop going back. It's become a weekly thing now. The donburi is amazing, gyoza is perfectly crispy, katsu surprisingly moist, and now I'm hungry thinking about it. If you see a lunch special that's not on the regular menu, they'll do it for dinner time too. Just ask. The staff is super nice. Covid compliant too. Have been coming here ever since the new owner and his daughter treated me so well on my first visit. I like a dry roasted Kalbi (Korean short ribs) with a nice char on the outside, but still tender in the middle. I order theirs without sauce and it's PERFECT.
