Nah. This place tries to do far too much variety of food to do any of it well. I went for teriyaki. It was goopy and sweet, with pre-cooked meat. And it was not good. Will not return. It's a clean and bright space. I will give it that. I don't have anything more positive than that, which is sad. We could use a good teriyaki place in Monroe, but this is not it.

Glad their full sushi roll menu is available again. Psst: was told the owner is a trained sushi chef. Family owned. The sushi rolls here are fresh and filled my sushi cravings. Enjoyed the scrumptious and light crunchy mouth feel of the sexy roll and the warm pillowy sweet goodness of the baked scallop roll. Both very different yet delicious in its own unique way. The nigiri here is good too if you like the more pure way of eating sushi. They are not a full on sushi bar though if you want variety, go to Best in Duvall for this area. For a teriyaki place, this is excellent sushi and you do get a plethora of rolls to choose from at a decent price point. $12.95 to $14.95 per roll as of June 2023. Glad there's a great sushi roll place in Monroe! To go was a quick 15 minutes and always ready on time. Super friendly couple and daughter I will definitely return for more sushi goodness! Easy parking in a strip mall by Fred's.

Their spicy teriyaki chicken is soooooo good! Loved the seasoning! The rolls are delicious and made by expert hands! Love the presentation of the food and cleanliness of the store! This is now my favorite teriyaki chicken place!!!. The owner is the chef who makes all the rolls himself!

have been coming here for years, & the family is so sweet ! they make all their food with hard work & love. the atmosphere of their little shop is very nice, nice seating arrangement, free water, a variety of food & drinks able to purchase (perfect for vegans, gluten free, lactose intolerant, etc) they also use the finest ingredients, so you know your food is going to not only be good, but nicely sourced ! everyone here is very nice & welcoming, & sometimes will even give out free goyoza while you wait for your food ! my favorite foods to get there is the side salad with dressing, & my new favorite is the grilled chicken teriyaki. their sushi is nice & fresh, nothing is overly greasy, things are fried in healthy oil, the veggies taste fresh, & the servings are just about right: but they're able to be shared for sure, especially if you don't like eating an over abundance of rice. other things i recommend is their chicken teriyaki, orange chicken, california roll, tofu teriyaki, & veggie tempura ! they have a range of options of soups, noodles, rice, vegetable based, meat based, you name it ! there's something special here for everyone

The hot food was absolutely delicious. Quantity and taste were worth the price. Now the sushi. Usually I'm not a fan of rolls but I will be going back again to eat theirs. The textures and flavors checked all my boxes plus some! The service was good. The lady even brought the food out to the car when it was ready. Definitely will be a repeat customer.

My wife and I visited a friend's couple who live in Monroe. We had dinner together, enjoying garlic chicken, spicy teriyaki chicken, and several handmade sushi rolls. Everything was so delicious. The salads were so fresh with a very savory sauce. This very friendly family-owned restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars.

The food tastes really good. The workers are really nice. The music in the store sounds good. The restraint has a good selection of drinks.

I know this because a little bit fell on my napkin. Beef was tender. Absolutely loved every bite. Seasonal Creamy Hokkaido Uni Udon- this was also amazing. Very creamy. Loved the saltiness of the salmon roe and chewiness of the udon. Wouldn't mind getting this again. Seasonal Lavender Matcha Latte- I don't usually like to drink my dessert but this was exceptional. Absolutely loved the lavender foam. It was perfectly balanced and perfect amount of sweetness. I'd get it again Seasonal Purple Sweet Potato Mont Blanc- this looked better than it tasted the sweet potato itself was more savory and needed the soft serve to make it taste more like a dessert. Once you make your way to the soft serve, spoon a little bit of the sweet potato with a full spoon of soft serve, then it'll be good, in my opinion. Kohaku Matcha Parfait- delicious. Loved the little bit of strawberry and the warabi mochi. Probably not the best matcha parfait I've had but I'd get it again. Got the Sakura Tendon Set to go for dinner on the plane. While it was tasty, the crispiness didn't hold up so I would not recommend taking it to go/eating it at room temp. The grilled steak don probably would've been better for this purpose but I have no regrets. Service was excellent, friendly, and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in town.

The blue crab poké bowl was outstanding, every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and pristine. You could tell real care went into the details, the rice was perfectly prepared, the ginger was bright and clean, and the seaweed salad was balanced and fresh. Nothing felt rushed or generic, it all felt thoughtfully made in-house. We also ordered the hamachi poké, which was spectacular. The fish was exceptionally fresh, the texture was perfect, it was cut impeccably, and the portions were very generous. Beyond the food, the entire experience was elevated by the atmosphere. Every detail of the décor, from the lighting to the tables, felt intentional and carefully designed. It's clear the owners care deeply about the experience they're creating. From the food, to the service, to the ambiance, everything was excellent. Highly recommended, and we will absolutely be back.

Adding to the outdoor ambiance inside, we were seated in a 'shaded porch' area, which still had plenty of room (such partitioning could reduce interior space). We were promptly greeted by the staff, who interestingly that day were not of Asian descent as typically found in Far East themed restaurants: more like your average Seattleite college-age server. I like that they bucked the stereotypes. As a ramen newbie, I was overwhelmed by the expert-level menu, the main reason I didn't give 5 stars. The menu starts with alcohol, leading me to look around for the food menu. There it is, tucked after several pages of booze and virgin drinks. The food section starts with the 'Botan Deluxe' (don't recall the actual name used) and lists the components using words that I as a newbie have either never seen before or maybe have seen but not understood, so my anxiety level spiked because I don't like being shamed into just ordering without understanding. Fortunately the waitress worked through this with me after my telling her my issue. The following page had a 'build your own ramen' blocked off into sections: noodles, broth, extras. With the extras, you get like 3 or 4 included (green onions, egg. garlic-something, seaweed, etc.) and more cost $1 extra (not printed on menu). I did the udon noodles, bone broth (insert fancy name but not with the fancy-name soy sauce added), and one extra ingredient over the included number. When asked 'tell me more about the green noodle?', the relatively new employee was unable to immediately describe, but went back and learned it was spinach blended. We also ordered a (fancy name) cucumber salad starter: yummy, sizable and recommended. The orders arrived promptly, with just a small break after the starter; the egg I ordered was replaced by bean sprouts: the served quickly and gracefully delivered the missing egg. Each ordered ingredient was placed as an individual island: it's up to the customer to blend or not (I enjoyed not mixing so to experience each flavor). The udon noodle was exactly as I had imagined and desired. My wife said she enjoyed her selection as well, although didn't pick out any unique flavor to the green noodle. The bill was right-priced if not even on the lower side for the neighborhood. We'll be back again to try more of the offerings now that we have a little bit of familiarity with the exotic descriptions.
