This location is about 3 bay doors past Citywide Auto Care. I pulled up, probably looking lost & was helped right away. Car was hooked up & smog check was in progress within 5 minutes. Employee (owner?) was friendly. It's a 'car garage' so it looks like one. Masks were worn & hand sanitizer bottles are sitting out in a few spots. Price was fair for a smog. A great little place to get your smog on! I came here on 8/23/15 to get my 1994 Suburban smog certified. This place had me in and out in about 45 minutes. It's in the 2nd driveway on your right when u turn onto Angus (just north of the railroad tracks), and the 4th garage spot straight ahead and on your right. Joon has been great! I have a lot of cars and whether they are new or old, Joon always helps me get them smogged. My latest truck has been an ordeal that I didn't even know I was getting into until Joon told me about the reasons it wouldn't pass. I spent the next two months fixing all the issues and learned quite a bit about the process of OBD-II Monitors lol. Joon was always very patient even when I lost my own patience due to the frustration of finding out the previous owner of my truck was dishonest. I just found out today that I actually need to get a smog test at a Star Certified Smog Test Station (it says so on the top of my DMV Renewal Registration letter)! I have a 1996 Honda Accord with almost 290,000 miles and I would be lying if I said I was not a bit nervous! Although, I've religiously changed my oil and been using super grade gasoline lately, which I feel helped on the test! Joon was very quick and very professional! It only took him about 15 minutes! Good place for a smog check in Orange. Took no more than 35 minutes that was because he was already working on someone else's car. He is really nice, helpful and the prices are much better than other places. Total bill was $48.95. We will definitely be going back here in the future. It is a little hard to find though so you may want to ask for clear directions. read more

I'm reading these reviews and I'm wondering if they're talking about another Toma smog in orange, or if they recently sold the place to the dishonest jerk who I had to deal with. First, this guy was such a pain to deal with, the guy mumbled all the time and was very short with me. My car couldn't be tested since I had just replaced the battery, he said he had to charge me $45 dollars and then charge me only $15 the second time once it was ready to be tested. Nope...he wanted $45 again, since he said I didn't pass the second time around. (He couldve just done a system check to see if it was ready to be tested.) not a whole smog check again! VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS OWNER! WONT COME BACK HERE EVER. read more

For years the DMV has been singling me out "randomly" to take my vehicles to a "test only" smog certification location. I guess I have been too compliant, so they decided to add another hoop for me to jump through to get my truck certified. This year I am required to go to a "STAR Certified Check Station". HUGE "time wasted" eye roll!!! Having gone to the same smog cert place for years, I didn't know where to go for STAR certified that wouldn't financially ream me (to the tune of $75+ for smog, certificate, and extra fee for large vehicle) for the honor of their "special" certification; so I checked Yelp reviews for a little advice. Toma Smog consistently received high ratings for quick service and reasonable cost, so I decided to give it a go. Happily, Yelp reviews for Toma Smog are spot on! No appointment necessary, in and out in fifteen minutes or less, passing results are sent to DMV immediately, AND there are no extra charges for larger vehicles. Toma charges $48.95 out the door for the smog test and certification. Next time, when CA DMV decides I need to go to STAR certified AND "test only" smog cert location, I will have all the bases covered with Toma. Thank you Toma for making the frustrating DMV a little easier to tolerate, and for doing so without bankrupting my budget. read more

Used to use this smog station as a regular for myself and sent friends and family as well, not anymore. Lazy and impossible to work with, if your car is Pre-2000 model year stay away, he will charge you extra and then eventually just won't feel like smogging the car again because its too much work....that's your job guy!! Oh and he likes to show up whenever he feels like it, last time I went in called the day before to make sure he was open at 9:30 didn't show up until after 10, because he was hungry and needed to stop at subway to get breakfast, what a joke. read more
