I've brought my car here twice in the last 4 years due to it being a 2016. It's been quick and easy checking in, telling them I need a smog check and providing my info, there's a small waiting area and they let you know when your car is ready pretty quickly. I paid $50 for my smog check here which I believe is reasonable, I do recommend people here for a smog check when needed! read more

I've been coming here for YEARS for my smog check. The original owner Đình was the nicest, most genuine and honest man. I think he passed away a few years ago and left the business to family members. Glad to say they're good people too. They do good work and get me outta there within 30 mins tops. They're not the cheapest but it's close by in a very quiet business complex and people and service are always 10/10. read more

It's annoying getting a notification from the DMV that you have to get your car smogged before they will renew your reservation. In order to breathe, however, we Californian's put up with the annoyance. Dinh's get's rid of all the hassle and makes the experience, fast easy and no frills to get you a great price and a fast experience. Go with them. read more

He was working in a car when I got there but he was done right away if I waited 5 at least and once I parked he started to work right away and he was done less than 15min. Have been coming here exclusively for the past 9-10 years for all our vehicles. Came here twice in the last few weeks, and service is consistently quick and courteous. Last week, I accidentally brought the wrong DMV statement, and they were still able to perform the smog check after I confirmed that it was really required for the vehicle that I had brought in. There's a fee for paying with a credit card, so you can save a few bucks if you bring cash. read more

Went in for a SMOG check. Didn't need an appointment, was able to just walk in. I did call before to make sure I didn't need an appt. Service was great and pretty quick. I was in and out in maybe 10 min (15 at most). Price was great too! I payed in cash as I read from other reviews to do so otherwise there's a $2 surcharge (per others reviews). I did also make sure to bring in my DMV renewal notice that way they could get all the car info straight from it. Overall very satisfied with the service I received! read more

Smog businesses essentially have one product. A certificate that keeps you in the road for a couple of years. What matters, therefore, is getting in and out in a reasonable amount of time of time. Cars 2000 and newer $36.75 + $8.25 for the DMV certificate; total cash or $50 with credit. Most cars from 1996 to 1999 will be $51.75 + $8.25 for DMV certificate. However , my recent visit(12/20/25) has changed my view on them . Their smog tech's knowledge is lacking . My car's catalytic converter was stolen last year . We purchased all parts from the dealer and had them installed by a local reputable muffler location . ( catalytic converter , oem flange , oxygen sensor , gaskets , upper and lower shields misc hardware). We added a miller cat shield to protect it.. I brought him my car for a smog. He told me everything lookred good, except the visual? I said why? He told me that the catalytic converter was the incorrect one. I told him it was the OEM part from the Manfacture. He disagreeed. I told him i had the reciept from the dealer where the parts were purchased. He told me he wasn't going to charge me but to bring it back the car with the documentation. No failed docuemntation was handed to me . I printed all records from the online dealer purchase and returend. I was greated by a different smog tech. I told him that the previous tech told me to come back to smog the car. He reviewed the car and told me the car had failed. I was confused as the first tech didn't not say anyting about failing the car. I told the new tech that i had brought it this location. He asked for the documentation. I told him the gentlemen that reviewed the car told me he was not going charge and not docuemenation was issued. I told him that if the tech failed it you smog system should have a record. He goes and looks up the car to see who pefromed the test and found it was the smog station they run. He printed out the failed report The new techc said, come back when he is here as i don't why he failed it. I asked him when the tech will be back? He stated in 2 weeks? SMH.... 2 weeks? i can't wait that long. I reverted back to the smog /repair station i went prior to finding this shop(its closer to my home). Guess what it passed the visual. Never again will i come back. It is unfortunate. 2 stars, the lack of knowledge is unacceptable. The inablity to identify an OEM Catalytic converter from the Car's manufacture is a problem.

The price of the car was in our range and what really caught my eye is how immaculate condition the car was in. (All the cars looked amazing) Seriously guys-- compared to all the other dealers we went to, this car was sparkling and ready to come home. The process to purchase the car was so smooth and we had two pups to play with while we were waiting for all the paper work to go through. Was truly an experience of ease and enjoyment. At first glance Dinh's may not seem like much, but this is officially my new place to take my car for smog checks. When I failed the initial smog check, Dinh let me know what he thought might be causing the problem. I quickly brought it my shop and it turns out, he was right on the money. The place is definitely smaller on the outside, but the guys there know what's going on when it comes to cars. I brought my car back to get it rechecked and this time it passed with flying colors. 1st time I visit them. They honored the price given during a phone call. They did a STAR smog test. It was fast service. They were very friendly. Anwered my questions kindly and respectfully. Apparently they do car work to an extent too. The best part... They actually open on weekend hours. Other places were charging more (somewhat rude when confronting charges they did not state) and wouldn't open on the weekends. It's like a hidden gem. read more

I just came from Dinh's. If your mission is to pass smog without headache or extra costs, go here. I didn't pass and it was free. Installing new sensors tomorrow and going again. Call ahead and make sure he's not too busy and open. He closed early today because it was super slow and 105 f outside. Heat is the enemy of passing smog. I also don't write reviews unless the business really deserves it. read more

Finally got to yelping and wanted to post about this place. Thank you yelpers!!! Let's face it, we all hate doing this little chores- smog checks, pumping gas, changing the oil, ugh, theyr'e like a doctors appointment...we leave it til the last second and it's always a pain. Not here though! Great price and fast service. No BS as stated. My car passed the test with flying colors. Thanks Dinh! read more

I took my GMC Diesel truck in and he had me in and out in no time! I have all ready referred multiple people. It is a small hole in the wall like people keep saying BUT come on it IS a smog shop! Not a grocery store people. haha But Again he is awesome , great prices and does a legit job without the rip offs like other places out there. Great place to go!!! read more

Dinh's service is the BEST! I called him and he quoted me $30.00 for my car. Others were asking from $40.00 to $60.00. He got my car done in 15 minutes. Oustanding Service and LOWEST PRICE IN TOWN (NO JOKE)! The owner is fast, courteous, and an expert. I highly recommend this test center. He will have my business and my family's business from now on. read more

Here is yet another i heart Dinh review :D. I came here this morning for my smog check test after reading the reviews on yelp. This man is so sweet and gets right down to business. I was in and out in no time. I mentioned I came here because of Yelp, and he gave me a straight $30 fee. $30!! (I have a compact 2006 Hyundai.) Love this man. :) read more

Excellent experience! We had to go grab some cash because he doesn't accept credit cards, but it was well worth it. He immediately got to work and within a few minutes we were paying and done. He even has a couch in his office for customers to sit down and relax. Great deal and a great, friendly guy too. Thank you! read more

i drove in as he was closing his shop and he kindly reopened (literally) the shop and let us get our car checked. There are kids' toys for my kids to play with, so that's a plus when i have to bring them along. I always go to him and he is awesome! quick and affordable! Highly recommend! read more

This is the second time I come for my smog check and I was not disappointed. In and out in 10 minutes. As everyone says, the prices are on the wall and you get a 2 dollar discount if you pay in cash. Will keep coming here for my smog check in the future. read more

I have a 2005 car and I had a great experience. For only $30 my car went through the smog check process and passed in less than 15 mins. Quickly and inexpensively are the name of the game in my book and Dinh's excelled in this. read more

Took it here, explained why the previous shop had failed me (because I knew they'd see those failures on the report) and he said that the other shop doesn't know what they're talking about. They couldn't fail for those reasons. He was quick, got me in and out, and I'm on my way with a certificate! I even asked him about another one of my cars that I've had getting a shop to smog (it's older, but entirely factory), and he told me to run it around a bit since it's been sitting and put a half tank of gas and he'd take care of it. I trust them to BE HONEST, which is all I can ask from a smog shop.
