I was visiting Michigan and this spot was literally a 2 minute walk from the Airbnb I rented on the same street. Food was tasty, well-seasoned, inexpensive, and my friend and I enjoyed it. That's all. Not much else to say. It's breakfast. Lol

I've been here a gazillion billion trillion times and I can't believe I never dropped a review at my favorite joint in the whole wide world. Speaking of favorites, it's low key, it's no b.s. and it's awesome food. This is by far the best place downriver to go for lunch and breakfast. It's sort of like a treat, whenever I do something good or a special day when we don't feel like whipping up something to eat in my kitchen. Detroit and the Downriver area is littered with coney island restaurants that'll serve you breakfast coney dogs all day long. The thing the separates Toma's from the rest is that they only cater to the breakfast eating morning person to the late lunch type of person. The food here is top knotch. Specially their coneys. Every time we step into this establishment, it's automatic that 2 coneys, a coney slider and an order of chili cheese fries to share fly to our table. That my friend is how we do it here in Detroit. Only a few restaurants serve a coney dog that can hold a candle to the famous Lafayette coneys in downtown detroit. This is one of them as far as I'm concerned. Remember, this isn't your typical all about space and flair type of coney restaurant. Seating is limited and they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait your turn. Make sure to order the coney sliders as well,, it's that destructive! Weeeeeeeeee!! Follow me on Instagram @rodtorres3

Now the reason I rated this 5 stars is because of the Coneys Dogs & Chili Cheese Fries. This place is a little small but it's a local place, everyone knows everyone and it does get a little crowded, however, I had the Toma's special Coney dog and Chili Cheese Fries. I have to say that the dogs tasted fresh along with the bun and they add ground beef which made it taste that much better, this is the best Coney dog I have had without going to downtown Detroit. This area is local and nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful as well as on their game. My coffee was never empty, I will DEFINITELY come here again.

I was neither impressed, nor completely turned off, by Toma's. The food and pricing are what you'd expect from a small Coney, but it was the waitstaff that cost this place no less than 1 full star. First, if you plan to eat there, don't. Or at least be patient. There are so few tables that the first question asked is if you called your order in (to go). Luckily, I found a small table with the gun shot riddled door view (see photos). I placed my order, 2 eggs (over easy), hash browns, gyro meat and white bread toast. My order came: sausage instead of gyro meat. Sent it back. When the toast arrived (well into eating), it was wheat. The eggs were runny, like sunny side up runny. Personally, if I weren't killing time at 9am waiting on my car at the service shop next door, I wouldn't return.

For example, I get the "Hearty" breakfast most of the time and it comes with eggs, meat, pancakes, potatoes and toast, and it really highlights what is this place's strength. Eggs: I get mine scrambled and have a nice selection of hot sauce to choose from. Meat: I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage since I don't eat beef or pork, but my wife loves their bacon if that's your thing. Pancakes: quality varies the most here as they are sometimes a little pale (but still good) but more often the idyllic golden one expects when ordering. Potatoes: lots of variety here, too, as my home fries come in different sized cuts with seasoning ranging from none to "no need for salt or pepper?" Toast: Again, wide variety of choices, I go with sourdough most often If this sounds like a lot of food, there are lots of other options that make it appealing to smaller appetites. But what I like about the "Hearty" is all the choices and the variation in style (probably depends on who's staffing the griddle) allows me to order the same meal and still feel like I'm getting some variety. Having said that, keep an eye out for the specials. They sometimes are tempting enough to get me to stray from usual. In addition to good food, the service is always friendly, and we've been back enough times to where I think every server recognizes us. Like I said, it's a favorite.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Detroit area. First things first,…read morethey do not take reservations and they are always on a wait, that should tell you that they are good. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on a weekday. It was a Friday though around 11am and, predictably, they had a wait. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was totally worth the wait. Their ambiance is cute- the hallway is clean, they have bench seating and they put you on the list to get a text, so you could sit in the car if you really wanted to; we did not. They could use a foyer though. It was 22 degrees and snowing so every time the door opened we were instantly freezing. The menu is massive so if you're trying this for the first time and you're from out of town, honey bring as many friends as you can so that you guys can order everything!! Theeeee must have that I tried were the smoked wings. I have never had wings that were smoked and then fried baby they were crispy. They were seasoned to the bone and were delicious. I almost ate them all and had no room for anything else. We also did the berry pancakes which could feed 3-5 people alone; second of all, they're not overly sweet, which is why I did berries and not the peaches or anything like that; and, third of all, the pancakes are the size of your face, but they are fluffy and melt in your mouth! These were easily top two pancakes I've had in my life. We also tried the shrimp and grits, also a 10/10. A generous portion of shrimp, not overcooked and the sauce was bomb. They do put bacon on it if you're not a bacon eater pay attention. I tasted around it anyways but yes, we also tried a vegetarian omelette with home fries. This was just a 7/10 but probably because we only ever tasted it reheated because we were too full to touch it. It was 3 entrees and an appetizer and was definitely enough food to feed a family of seven. This is a must visit place, so if you are in the area and have never been: make time!!!! And take some friends. Each plate is a day's worth of calories!

Odd the hostess didn't catch this open table for us the first time. She asked us to wait a minute. We were able to move to the window high top table. Better to not sit across a big giant table with a bunch of strangers. Ordered the Mushroom Swiss omelet with hash brown and white toast. I wanted to order the ranchero Benedict, but I am not allowed to swap out the English muffin for GF bread. Ordered the Mexicali burrito with turkey sausage and turkey bacon instead of brisket and 4 orders of beignet. $77.38 Had to ask for the toast part way into our meal. The hash browns were cold. Burrito fell apart instantly. Too hard to pick up. Tasted okay overall. Sauce on the top of burritos, made the tortilla wilted and unmanageable to pick-up. The mushroom Swiss was decent, white toast too. Potatoes slices and hash browns were okay. Service and food is average, needs some improvements for sure. The to go beignets were definitely not out in 5 minutes, took over 10 minutes. The beignets were by far the best part of the meal. Dough was light, airy, outside was crispy, yet chewy. The cream cheese dip was such a good pair.

Dellah Coffee & Brunch House is a not-so-hidden gem in Dearborn, MI, serving Yemeni-American food…read moreto the large Arab population in Dearborn as well as to tourists like my boyfriend and I. Dellah is located on a mixed residential and commercial street with plenty of parking nearby. We chose to eat lunch here in June 2026 since it wasn't too far from our hotel and we saw that they had outdoor seating - important since we had my little dog with us. The place was very busy but since we were eating outside, we had no wait and we were waited upon promptly. There are a LOT of American choices on here (like sugary pancakes) but a third of the menu consists of Yemeni food. I got a traditional Yemeni tea ($4.50) and my boyfriend sipped on a smooth matcha latte ($6.50). We had a big breakfast that morning, so we chose to just share the lahm sighar ($20), which comes with a piece of khuba bread, and also order an additional khuba bread ($2). About 15 minutes later, our food was ready and after taking the necessary pictures, we dug in! Needless to say, the extra bread was not necessary. I don't know what we were thinking but we assumed a piece of khuba was small. Nope! Each piece is the size of my 17-inch computer. Anyway, we used bits of the khuba as silverware to pick up the deliciously tender lahm sighar, something I saw others do when I went inside to use the bathroom and nosily looked around. I must mention that the BATHROOM HAS A BIDET. I REPEAT. BATHROOM HAS A BIDET!!!! Hehe :) seeing it just made me happy lol. So anyway, I saw that the coffee section of Dellah is set up inside like a traditional coffee shop where you can grab and go some coffee, tea, and pastries if you'd like. I did grab my bf, dog, and I some water from the coffee counter, which is self-service. We didn't leave a crumb behind and loved our food here. I would happily come back again! There is a 3% card surcharge fee so I paid the bill with cash, which came out to about 45 dollars after tax and tip. A little pricey, thanks to our expensive drinks, but so yummy!

There was 10 of us in our party…read more Not sure whose idea among the Dellah staff thought it was a good idea to squeeze so many guys and me at two small tables by the door. This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.

This location tends to lean more "family friendly" because that's just the type of town Wyandotte is. I prefer a more "bar" setting but it's definitely toned down here. For that, Bonnie's in Corktown is my favorite and will always have a place in my heart! But this location brings the BB spirit regardless. The menu is new American... loaded tots, burgz, rice bowls and a few standard dishes. You'll find a fun spin on old classics, which is one of my favorite things about BB! The lunchy brunch menu is off the chain, and their mimosa and bloody Mary bar is famous for a reason. Hint: I order a "bloody Mary" then make myself a badass screwdriver with OJ, pineapple juice and a few pieces of fruit. Though I do not recommend ordering a mimosa then use the bloody Mary bar offerings :P This is a great spot for lunch, brunch or dinner. I went with the piccata style perch which had great flavor, a perfectly done huge baked potato and a wreck of the loaded up brussels. The Brussels may do it for some but they were a no bueno flavor mess to me. Yikes. When I was nearly finished I got a big old bite of bone in my perch.
