Asked very good ?s about the problem like he would be able to help figure out the problem and troubleshoot on the phone. He was easy to schedule with and showed up promptly when he said he would. I had a problem with the water pressure from the kitchen faucet and I called Tom to repair it. He gave me a couple of ideas on the phone how to find the problem then told me that if you still have a problem call me and I will come and fix it for you. So I still couldn't solve the problem and I called him again to come to check it. I purchased a new faucet before he came to my house just in-case the faucet was broken. The problem was the hot water pipe clogging from the water heater. The original pipe line is old so the rust was accumulating in the pipe under sink. It was simple fix and the cost was inexpensive. I had a very bad experience with the service from Rescue Rooter. Don't use them they charged us $1,200 repair fee for a very small leaking pipe problem. The reason why I agreed to pay the amount was because they said it would be 2 hours service and it was the weekend but he finished the repair within 30 min and changed only 2 little parts. Rescue Rooter is now in a lawsuit from another customer for illegal and unfair practices or activity. I have received a class action lawsuit letter last week against Rescue Rooter. Don't call Rescue Rooter. May be weekday and a small job will be okay but if you have a big problem or no choice situation, they will charge you huge amount. CALL TOM!!! read more

Tom was great. I live nearby so he arrived about 15 minutes after I called. He unclogged our heavily clogged pipe in about 30-40 minutes and charged exactly what was quoted over the phone. My garbage disposer would not turn on so I called Tom on the strength of the Yelp reviews. He first tried to walk me through a self-repair by phone, telling me it was likely jammed. Sure enough, a paper towel had gotten shredded and the pulp was clogging it up. He told me to get the stuff out and then rotate it counterclockwise. I did and turned on the switch but it still wouldn't run. He said he would come out but would probably have to charge $60 or $70. I said that was OK. He came immediately, probably within 10 minutes. He turned it once, hit the reset button and voila, fixed! He said I really probably fixed it but just didn't know to turn on the reset button. He refused to charge me and finally took gas money just because I insisted. He told me $5 but I gave him $10. What a great experience - prompt, professional and HONEST! Tom is an inexpensive and effective drain router guy. He's a lot faster than anyone else I've hired, and the first time he did the job, it stayed clear for three years. That's around 2 years longer than others. Second time was half a year ago, and it cost $85. He also unplugged the shower of my masses of hair, and that was kind of expensive at $35, but there was no way I'd get that out. read more

After reading so many positive reviews for Tom's rooter service I decided to give him a call. I explained to him how the main line was clogged and that the previous rooter guy told me I might need to get someone to put a scope down there to find where the blockage is. That itself would have cost me $400 plus the cost of removing the blockage. Tom told me not to worry and that alot of people out there are just trying to sell you services that you don't really need. He said he'll check it out for me first. Next thing you know, he actually cleared the blockage and now the water flows freely! Only cost me $125. I highly recommend Tom's services. Tomas did a great job cleaning the calcium in the toilet bowl and the water pressure is a little stronger. Price is fair and service is excellent. He explained to me in detail what the problem was and helped me to understand why my toilet was backed up. I had the most amazing experience with Tom the plumber! I called Tom after reading all the positive Yelp comments. He came out to clear a main line drain but after spending some time trying to clear it he diagnosed the problem as a cracked slab sewer line. He spent time with me to explain the problem and show where the most likely spot that the pipe was broken. He reassured me that it wasn't that big of a deal and recommended another plumber friend that could fix it. I asked him how much I owed him and he said NOTHING! He said he didn't feel right about taking money from a customer if he didn't fix the problem. What can I say other then Tom (aka tomas) is a professional. I called him on a Monday and made an appt for him on tues. He gave me a time he would show up and he was promptly on time.Previously, I tried everything to unclog my drains in the main bathroom. I "snaked" the toilet, shower, sink and even went on the roof. Nothing worked! When Tom showed, he looked over the house to find the main drain line and then he went to the bathroom. I showed him what has been the problem by flushing the toilet-- the shower gets back-up/overflow. Tom wanted to see the problem first hand. So he flushed the toilet several times and we heard the gargling sound it made. It started to to overflow again in the shower. Suddenly, everything flushed down the shower again. My plumbing problems were over. We had a good laugh about it cause all Tom did was flush the toilet several times. I was in disbelief because I did this well over a dozens times over the weekend when I was trying to fix it. He shook my hand and we called it a day. Job done! I offered to pay him something for coming out but he refused any compensation. He was just happy to see my plumbing working again. read more
