My family has been dining here since I was in high school, 12+ years. This is a true family business. The food menu is fantastic and the weekly specials are always fresh and delicious. This weekend we hosted a surprise birthday party for my mom. Siobhan was communicative during the whole planning process. She sent us menus, pictures of other party set ups, and recommendations for bakers for the cake. They offer a buffet option but we went with a plated lunch. We were able to select 5 entree selections and our guests ordered what they wanted day of. We chose Sheppards Pie, corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, chicken francese and penne all vodka. The guests had 5 dessert options to choose from as well. I ate the fish and chips and it was excellent! Siobhan and Sophie waitressed our party of 30 and were patient, organized and caring. Matt was behind the bar and came over to introduce himself when we arrived. He also assisted Siobhan and Sophie with the set up. We brought in an outside cake and they kept it in the freezer until we were ready to have it on display. They cut and served it for us, and boxed up our leftovers. We had a wonderful afternoon thanks to Siobhan and are so grateful to have a restaurant like Brady's in our area! read more

Friends asked us to get together for a late lunch and suggested Brady's Fox Hunt Inn in Northvale NJ. Great atmosphere, bar on one side, restaurant on the other. Not a large establishment but plenty of room and quiet enough to have a conversation. The wait staff, casually dressed, were extremely pleasant and helpful. I had a lunch special (herb crusted tilapia with rice pilaf - delicious). My wife had French Dip and a baked potato. Our friends had fried shrimp and a baked potato and Egg Salad sandwich and soup. Prices are super reasonable. Will definitely return again soon. read more

9 months later and Brady's has become our kitchen away from home. We know the names of all the bartenders and waitstaff, we've become regulars and look at the door when it opens to see who came in. The specials are always top notch on top of great selections on the regular menu. I would recommend over and over again. read more

After driving by here for years, I had lunch here for the first time today , delicious butter nut squash soup& sauerbraten with potato pancake & Red cabbage! My friend had the chicken pot pie . I've been here several times before for their French onion soup and corned beef and cabbage. But I will not be coming back. Tonight I sat and waited almost 15 minutes for someone to approach me, and there were exactly THREE other tables occupied. When the manager finally came and said, ok are you ready? I told him I'd been ready the whole time he passed back and forth in front of my table seating other customers! I ordered a "special" of stuffed shells and garlic bread. When it finally appeared - they were busy now - it was a mush of 4 small dried out stuffed shells and HOT DOG BUNS for garlic bread!! But the real kicker was the bill. I was charged $34.00 for that "special" dried up lump of pasta and stale hit dog buns. They have good onion soup and cbeef and cabbage but they'll never see me again. read more

Not sure why but I always end up here and each time I expect to be disappointed, not sure why because this place offers great food, friendly service and small bar area where everyone is your friend. I hadn't been to Brady's in many years and I often found myself driving past it and not remembering it as anything memorable. This past year we decided to give it another chance and found that for the price, the value was ok. The food wasn't great but it was fine for what it was-a casual Irish neighborhood pub with typical sandwiches and entrees for a quick dinner out that was reasonably priced. We had zeroed in on the French Dip, which up until September or so, was priced at $8.95 and was decent. Other dishes were hit or miss. We returned in October and were shocked to see that the prices had been raised across the board by $4 or $5 and even more for some entree's! This took place in 2 week's time. I said to the waiter "wow, your prices really went up in the past 2 weeks", and he replied that with the old pricing they had been losing money for a long time and that they had to do this to survive. We bit the bullet and stayed anyway but somehow the $12 French Dip no longer "tasted" like a good deal. I decided that I may as well try the burger for that price which I was assured by the waiter was very good. I ordered my cheeseburger rare but the meat had a very odd grayish appearance. This should have tipped me off. The taste was rather odd and didn't really taste like a freshly grilled or char-broiled burger but I ate it anyway. I should have returned it, and boy, was I sorry that I didn't!. The service here is always excellent but with the food quality and new higher prices, we vowed not to come back. Later that night and for the most of the next day, I had nothing but loose bowels which is highly unusual for my rock stomach. I could only think that it was that off-tasting burger and I waited a very long time to post this as I didn't wish to be unpleasant. I have no grudge against Brady's, I really should have called them up about this. read more

Irish / American Pub Great little Irish / American pub that even has a few German dishes on the pretty good sized menu. The building is somewhat old and just a tad musty smelling - which kind of puts you in the frame of mind of an old Irish pub somewhere in the back country. Plenty of tables in the dining area and a small but cozy bar area. Help was very good. The food was very good by pub standards and the prices were moderate in my opinion. Since this place is off my normal area of eating and drinking, I'm not sure how the prices stack up locally. Parking lot behind. read more

The staff at Brady's are always very friendly, and the food is solid. The patrons on the other hand are not..... If you want to discuss why white people believe it's okay for police to shoot a black person while they are sleeping in the comfort of their own home, then this place is right up your alley. The bar has a "No Politics Please" sign which is completely ignored by these patrons the same way the "Wash your Hands" signage is in the bathroom. Or the "Wear a Mask" sign is when walking through the outdoor dinning. It's a shame... we like the place, but we will never go back due to this consistent conversation taking place. read more

Went here for dinners and drinks and must say we had a great time! Food was good, prices good and bartender very attentive and made us feel welcome. Sitting in the dining room and wanted to write the review before I left. Come here often for a quick bite to eat and am never disappointed. I would normally have a steak or a chop. Tonight I decide to have the Caribbean sliced cod. It was excellent. The fish was perfectly cooked and the Caribbean spice was just the right amount. Gave me a little bite without overwhelming the fish. I finished the fish and was disappointed I didn't have a few extra bites. Not that it wasn't enough. Was good enough to have more. Highly recommended. Service is friendly and attentive. read more

What a great local pub/bar! They serve bar food until late in the night, and are open until 2 a.m. The menu has lots of comfort food; things such as: beef stew, home-made chicken pot pie, wiener schnitzel, burgers, pastas (their penne w/vodka sauce is a favorite!), steaks, sandwiches, etc. They have a cozy little area with table service, and then a separate area for the bar. It kinda reminds me of Cheers!, you always see familiar faces. Also great: that complimentary shot of Brady's cream liqueur at the end of the meal. Definitely a spot to check out. read more

Food was good. We were given 2 menus tho with about a $6 difference in price after 4 pm. Friendly staff and my Irish Beef Stew was good. We were offered dessert but it was extra charge. Did NOT get offered a free shot of Baileys after dinner. It was nice but could be better. read more

I can't say enough good things about Brady's. As soon as you walk in, you feel like family. Everyone is so incredibly friendly, and the servers do whatever they can to make sure you have an awesome time while you're there. They even give you a complementary shot of Bailey's after your meal! The food is delicious and I've never had a bad experience. My favorite is their chili, which is some of the best I've ever had. It comes piled high with cheese on top and some chips to dip in it. I also love their Erin's Combo which comes with perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp, beef, chicken and garlic bread. They give you a yogurt sauce on the side to dip everything in, so good! This is my parents' favorite restaurant and I love it too- I'm always happy to take them here for a fun night out! read more

This is an Excellent restaurant. The owner is always there and keeps the quality of food and service consistently high. You can tell it's a good place bc it's been open so many years and has a large following of "regulars". The menu is a mix of Irish/English, American, and German dishes. My family's favorites are the Chicken White Wine, garlic fries, French Onion Soup (the BEST), calamari, the sizzling steak, the rice pudding, and their soups. You cannot go wrong ordering anything here, though. If you are dining with a large group, make sure to make reservations. Also, there's only two booths so if you would prefer one of those, you should also make a reservation. read more

i find the food here to be generally very tasty. it won't knock your socks off or anything, but if you're looking for some comforting, good ol' fashioned pub food, this is your spot. mind you, not gastropub, not fancy in anyway. i love the shepard's pie here, it's delicious and ridiculously comforting. the free bread when you first sit down is alright, there are some homemade "scones" that taste ok, but i'd hardly call them scones. people seem to love them though. all the food i've tried here has been quite tasty, so no complaints on food. service is always friendly and relatively quick. you may want to make a reservation to eat; this place is really popular among the locals. even if you walk in and the place is EMPTY, they always ask if you've made a reservation... and if you haven't, they sort of look all befuddled like they don't know where in the world they'll seat you (um.. there's about 15 empty tables and it's 4:30PM....). whatever, just save yourself the trouble and make a reservation. the bar is always happening, seems to be THE spot for a drink. it's hard to get seats/space because it gets so crowded, so go early. drinks are reasonably priced and the beer is good and cold. it's a little dank, dark, and musty when you first walk in. it's an old spot after all. but if you can make it past that, and you've made a reservation, you're in for a nice, no frills, tasty meal. read more

Was just here today on Saint Patrick's day. The restaurant and bar was packed as expected. After waiting about 10 minutes my party of two (2) were seated. The menu was limited for obvious reasons. I ordered my favorite Guinness draft. We both ordered the Sheppard's Pie. Our Sheppard's Pie's had little seasoning and mostly mashed potatoes and little meat. Table serivce was good considering the busy crowd. All in all I doubt I will return here, but, I did hear from others that the food is good here on other days. So I've come back here several times since my last visit and review. I've had a great time here each time I've come back, and the bartenders treat the customers like friends and family. Brady's Fox Hunt Inn is a must visit! Not only is the food delicious, but everyone from the owner to the waitresses, and bartenders are all so friendly. It is a great place to enjoy some "spirits", a quick bite, or a relaxing dinner where you are never rushed. No other place that I know of gives you a complementary shot of delicious Brady's Cream Liqueur to complete you dining experience.
