They looked at it Monday morning, called us and said this was a major recall problem that would be covered by the manufacturer at no charge but the work had to be done at a dealership. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. Hota quote that was exactly in line with the final bill. Arrived right as they opened for service and was greeted immediately, confirmed what was to be done and was directed to the waiting area, where there is ample seating, free coffee or tea and vending machines. Service was completed in 35 minutes, no surprises or upsells, fast and courteous checkout and our car was well taken care of. Really pleased with our experience and treatment.
