Definitely a pre-frozen probably not even 100% beef fast food burger. Mashed potatoes were horrible, and the gravy was straight out of the can. Our waitress was Shawna H., and she was friendly and attentive to our table. We tried the Idaho nachos, which are waffle fries instead of nacho chip, and it was good tasting. I tried the chicken cordon blue and it was not your typical breaded fare but their take and I loved it. Even the broccoli side to my meal had flavor, must have been butter and seasonings. My family tried different items and no one had a complaint. The food there was pretty good! Traveling from Montana and decided to stop here. Was sat at a table in front of the kitchen door, which I didn't mind. The server was very short, and had to remind her of our drink and sauces 15 minutes after getting our food. Instead of checking to see how our food was or if we needed anything, her and two other servers decided to chat amongst one another behind us for 15 minutes. Pretty disappointing. So the appetizers were good but it's not difficult to make wings and bacon cheese fries. The main course was extremely disappointing. You can see from the picture that it was extremely small. It was also dried out and flavorless. I spent over $100 on the check for my party and we were very disappointed. the service was fine and the facility was clean but I won't be back. Came here during our mother daughter cross country road trip--spending night in blackfoot before grand Tetons and Yellowstone tomorrow. Read the yelp reviews but had low expectations. So pleasantly surprised! We shared a Caesar salad which was fine, but kudos for how they split it in two bowls. Then we split the flat iron steak with mushrooms and onions, asparagus and cheesy waffle fries. Wow! That was a delicious steak--tender, flavorful, as good as I've had elsewhere at more pricey places. All for $15.99! They once again split the entree onto two plates and gave us so many fries plus an extra dinner roll--hard to believe the normal plate would have held that many fries. So to be upfront tommy Vaughn's is not my favorite place to eat. It's the only nicer restaurant in town, and it can be hit and miss. I recently had surgery a few days before my daughters first birthday. My family had come in from out of town, and by the time I got out of the hospital they were eating at tommy Vaughn's. When we walked in the door to meet with my family the hostess and waitresses immediately knew who I was, that I was fresh out of the hospital and where my family was. I was feeling terrible after kidney surgery, and they let me order off the kids menu, double checked what was okay for me to eat, made sure I knew where the bathroom was, and immediately brought me a box when they noticed I really wasn't able to eat. They made me feel safe and welcome, and took great care of my family. Where it isn't my favorite food, I'd still go back just because of how caring and nice they were to me. read more

The True Gem found in a least expected area of SE Idaho. Being hungry in Blackfoot I thought my options were limited to simple burger chains like McDonalds or Wendys , maybe Rupe's burgers at best. My prime rib was great , even my wife , who is much harder to please when it comes to food never complained about her order. My husband and I road tripped from Nevada to Wyoming for the solar eclipse this year, and on the way back we were looking for a place to stop for dinner. We had an RV with our dogs, so needed someplace with a lot of parking. Luckily Tommy Vaugh's fit the bill. Although they did have outdoor seating, we decided to order take out and just eat in the RV. My husband got the fettuccini alfredo and I ordered the coconut shrimp dinner. Although it was a Monday night, they were very busy for dinner and unfortunately it took a while for our food to be ready. As an apology, the waitress gave us a free piece of cheesecake, which I though was very nice of her. I thought the shrimp dinner was amazing, even as take out! The sauce they included with the coconut shrimp was sweet and delicious. The shrimp were served over rice, also included two sides and a dinner roll, which was very yummy. I got broccoli and a baked potato as my sides. The broccoli was seasoned, which I hadn't realized, but was tasty (I think there was salt and garlic on them). And the baked potato was perfectly cooked. Although we probably won't be passing by again anytime soon, I would definitely recommend Tommy Vaughn's as a place to eat in Blackfoot. read more

The staff was truly accommodating as we started with a party of 6 and ended up with a party of 12 and they handled it with grace and efficiency making our night wonderful. Great restaurant! Excellent place to take the lil woman for a nice sit down meal. I noticed their customers appeared to be golfer so that's usually a good sign. Portions were nice sized and prices were good Service was excellent. We ate out on the balcony facing the lake so it was a nice view too. We will definitely be back.
