I'm sure this 4 stars is of my own design, but I DID toss out a lot of food, so here we are. I ordered some garlic parm wings and stupidly garlic parm tots. I didn't realize that I was basically ordering fried chicken and tots with garlic parm sprinkles. The first wing was awesome but the flavor and the "fried-ness" got overwhelming really quickly. I guess if I had ordered in person instead of through the app, the lovely guy in the trailer could have been like, yo, that's too much of the same flavor, you gotta mix it up. But alas, I chose for my self and I got what I got. Everything was delicious. I wish I would have gotten wet wings. And I wish they weren't breaded. But oh well. Very crispy, and the lollipop DOES make them easier to eat.

It'd been years since I last went to Tommy Want Wingy, back when they were located on Rainy Street. A trip back with a new mural of my all time favorite comedian had me saying Holy Schnikies in no time. Atmosphere: Food truck style next to a bar, common sight here in Austin but a great way to enjoy a food and drink. Food: Lollipop style chicken wings. Essentially where the chicken is filleted creating a lollipop appearance. Appearances aside all the flavors here are delicious. I got the garlic parm and one of the original spices. All were breaded perfectly and fried to a nice crisp. They maybe a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the wings easily justifies. Two servings will most probably fill most people. Service: Very friendly service, and of course the staff will geek with you on any Chris Farley movie, because hey that's why we're here right? Overall, I'd recommend easily if you're in the area. Especially for lollipop style wings.

Best wings in Austin! Ranch on fire are my favorite also ranch on fire tots with some ranch! Order online, pretty quick wait time. I went on the Wednesday.

Elite chicken wing execution. Cool, chill service. Got 10 wings to go--pleasantly blown away by the flavor, texture and meatiness. Will return.

Really wanted to love these wings, but they were really average. They were dry and the lemon pepper didn't have much flavor. The garlic tenders were so heavily breaded and dry. The garlic parm fries were really good though! The sweet chili wings were better because the sauce helped with the dryness of the wings. Would not come back here, especially for the high price.

Honestly pretty expensive at $12 for 5 wings, but the texture and flavor of the chicken lollipops was great. It has the meatiness of flats but the ease of easy of a drumstick. Got the OG flavor, which was my favorite, Chile Limon, and Spicy Pineapple.

I have nothing really to say except that I LOVE TWW! I literally only go to Rainey Street now if I know I'm going to get to eat here. Best time to go when they open for the day or during lunch! I also like the Cosmic location when I just want a chill vibe. I don't do super spicy, but here I tolerate it just for the ranch on fire wings! And you have to get the garlic parm fries and lots of sides of their ranch (cause bring down the heat without taking away the taste you really want!) with every order!

Great place for wings! Highly recommend to try their wings. They are more on the pricey side in my opinion. The service was good, did take 15 min for our wings to come out. We ordered the buffalo hot flavor. The overall taste was great and had a kick to them! Wish the wings were a little more a crispy. The other flavor we got was chile limon. I wouldn't get these again please the flavor wasn't as strong. Overall solid place for wings but pricey in my opinion

Ok so is this place 21 and up? I went there once and my friend and I walked in normally and as we were eating there was a guy who was carding people at the door, so I was like crap we are in here illegally.

It's inside of Lustre Pearl, which is a bar, so you need to be 21 to get in.

We started with the fried green tomatoes. They didn't quite beat the unforgettable ones from The Front Porch Cafe at Dollywood, but they were still tasty and we happily finished them. I ordered the 2-piece dark meat while my cousin got the 2-piece white meat, both with baked beans, slaw, and white bread. The baked beans and slaw were both satisfyingly delicious. When my plate arrived with a thigh and two legs, I thought I had ordered wrong! Our wonderful server, Kamber, explained that the legs were especially small that day, so they have to serve two instead. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and delicious, and I loved learning they use peanut oil. The fresh, natural quality definitely came through. And placing the white bread underneath the chicken? Brilliant--it soaks up the extra oil! Service was fast, friendly, and efficient even though it was a busy Friday lunch hour. Amber was great about answering our questions and regularly checked up on us. She even introduced us to their homemade Chess pie--a classic rich southern custard dessert pie--which we were too full to try this time, next time for sure. We'll be back, especially since there's another location in San Antonio. Next visit, I'm coming hungry for the fried okra, mac & cheese, and seasoned fries! Just wish they also have corn on the cob and corn bread as other sides options. Southern fried chicken craving: officially satisfied.

The skin was incredibly crispy (just how I like it!) and the soy garlic sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory flavor without being overpowering. They definitely didn't skimp on the size either--5 wings was more than enough! I skipped the sides this time because I wanted to focus on the wings, but their onion rings caught my eye, so I'll definitely be back to give those a try. Now...the only downside was the parking. It looked like the front parking lot had been freshly painted because every parking space was blocked off with cones. Everything appeared dry, so I wasn't sure why the cones were still there. That forced everyone to park in the back, which was already super congested. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn't seem too concerned. Honestly, if I hadn't been determined to try this place--or if it had been any hotter outside or I hadn't gotten lucky finding a parking spot--I probably would've left. Thankfully, the wings made up for the inconvenience! If they can get the parking situation figured out, this spot will be an even better experience. I'll definitely be back...and next time, those onion rings are coming home with me!

Ironically, I came on "National Wing Day", so they were running some pretty good specials: $1 Wings (min. 10 wings per order) and $2.50 pints of Dos Equiis. For my sauce, I chose a spicy garlic parmesan (yes, you can mix 2 sauces together) and paired it with dill pickle dusted tater-tots. Wings: they weren't "piping hot " on arrival which was a bit sketchy -- some were even cold to touch (YIKES!). However, most of them were at least a bit warm. Flavor-wise, do I need to go out of my way for wings at Pluckers?? NAH. These wings are decent, but nothing to write home about. Tater Tots came out dill pickle dusted, but they were either fried at a low temperature that they retained oil, or were not properly drained. Either way, they weren't very crunchy, light in color, and all the seasoning was wet and fell off the tots. Overall, unimpressed but still came out somewhat satisfied as I only paid $20 and some change for the whole meal. Not a 3. More like a 3.5. Inside was clean and could probably fit 75pp.

They are a spicy chicken establishment and their spicy chicken comes in different shapes and sizes from bone-in fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and nuggets. I have only ever ordered their fried chicken sandwich and every time, I have been a fan. I always get their middle option in heat, the Hot Gai, which is sandwiched between the OG and the Tingly Gai. It hits every time. The mayonnaise, the pickles, the perfectly crisp chicken: you can't miss it. As a side, I ALWAYS without fail get their Tater Tots. They are consistently crispy while remaining soft on the inside. Sometimes I will get it seasoned with their Tingly Sichuan, but the heat is sometimes too much. I cannot recommend the tots enough. Spicy Boys is one of those places that is always there for you. They are consistently open and the people making the orders are putting a ton of dedication into making them smack every time. The sandwich alone comes at $9.50 with the tots at $3.50, which seems on par or slightly lower than a typical food truck if my memory serves me right. I recommend giving them a shot whether you are at Spokesman in Pflugerville, St. Elmo Brewing, or Zilker off 6th Street. It's in the upper echelon of food trucks. RIYL: peak chicken sammys
