Eel sauce is not on the top, the avocado is just brown.

Used to love going to this place. We got takeout recently and were really excited to have some sushi. Unfortunately, the rice was hard and completely ruined the rolls. Now the rolls we ordered with avocado looked and tasted bad too. Really disappointed as we used to love it here, but don't think it'll be easy to gain our trust back easily again

I ordered takeout, specifically the Salmon Roll minus two I ate and the Demon Roll Special.

The salmon roll and demon roll special is delicious and the wait was 10-15 minutes for takeout. I've been here a few times, the dining room is always calm and the staff is always diligent. Great ambiance, the lighting is soft and the music is very zen. Definitely stop by to enjoy their various fresh fish.

I ate here a few years ago on my way north on a recommendation. I honestly don't remember a thing about it. Last night, I had a hockey game at the nearby rink, so we decided to give it another shot. Certainly a better choice than beer and wings after a heavy workout.... We ordered several rolls and pieces a la carte - mostly simple stuff; the most complex was the Tokyo roll with salmon, avocado, tuna and tobiko on the outside. We scoured the menu for the rolls that did not include tempura, mayo or any kind of sauce. There are lots of specialty rolls that are "americanized" with sauces and fried stuff...they looked very good... but we need to stay away from anything with soy due to an allergy. The fish was surprisingly fresh...I really wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Everything was tasty and served at just the right temperature. The food also arrived very quickly...so that was a nice bonus. Quick in and out...then back on the road for the hour and a half drive home. If I'm in the area and have a sushi hankering, I'll definitely be back.

I was a little nervous about eating sushi in a plaza/strip mall. But the atmosphere is just fine. Clean, dim lighting, warm and cozy in winter. The food was very good! Drinks and food reasonably priced. Service was pleasant and paid attention. Not a 5-star high class place and not a dive. Good in-between. Will go back.

This place was great for takeout! On the way to our final destination in Hudson, we called and placed an order for 1) salmon teriyaki bento box, 2) Tomo Roll and 3) Main St Roll which was a perfect amount for two people. Everything was packaged very meticulously to avoid spillage. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza so parking was very easy. It looked like the kind of place that would be pretty popular in normal times. I thought the quality of everything was great, flavorful, and decently priced.

Tomo is the best sushi place in the town. The food here is so fresh, and the staffs are very kind. Not only sushi and sashimi are good, but the dishes are also tasty.

Sushi boat for two: twenty pieces of sashimi, eight pieces of nigiri, two rolls. Comes with miso soup and salad for each person

Went here after seeing this place for years. It was just "OK", but what do you expect for sushi in the middle of the Catskill mountains?!

BUT somehow, we struck gold and found Yasuda--worth every second of the search. We got there around 8:45 (no, timing was not intentional, no regrets ), and from the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfect. Amazing atmosphere, super welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly feels like a "why haven't I been here before?" spot. The service? 10/10. Everyone--from the owner/the sushi chef--was genuinely personable, attentive, and made us feel taken care of the entire night. The waiter Salmon, was amazing 10/10. Not trying to be funny not sure if he spells it that way but he was amazing!! And the food... WOW. The Toro? Unreal. Melt-in-your-mouth, life-questioning levels of good. Every single dish we ordered was a 10/10, but the Toro especially stood out--fresh, flavorful, and done perfectly. As if that wasn't enough, they surprised us with a beautiful complimentary gift set at the end, which just sealed the deal. Whether you're planning a dinner with your best friend or trying to impress someone special, Yasuda is IT. Kingston after 9pm might be a struggle...no raw bar however!!!!! but this place makes the search 100% worth it.

Walking into the restaurant there is an amazing ambiance, the lighting is soft, the decor is beautiful and staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Appetizers: Dumplings were soft and tasty (only wish they were crisper!), the crispy rice bites were out of this world, I've never had something so nice, little spicy but so much flavor, presentation was also beautiful! Main Course: Decided on the sashimi dinner for 2, it did not disappoint, perfect amount, finished everything and this was the BEST salmon I have ever tried. As an avid sushi lover I had nothing but respect and positive feedback for the sushi, I need to come back for it! Dessert: mochi was absolutely exquisite and the matcha crème brûlée was rich and creamy, definitely a little sweet. This was one of my best dinners total was around $260 and if you get a chance to stop by I hope you feel the same! A bit pricy but worth it if you're willing to spend

Over an hour between the appetizer, an average plate of karaage, and the sashimi and sushi. This on a night with the upstairs closed and the place only half full. If the ama ebi has lost all its flavor, nothing else on the plate is fresh. Only the seabream stood out. The saddleback roll, which the waiter talked up, was the biggest disappointment. Only the oshinko maki was good. The most tenured sushi chef was passionate about the product. No one else in the kitchen was doing much to help him, considering how many cuts he had to rescue. It's not a sushi bar unless you can see the freshness of the fish on display. Telling, then, that Medo has no display case at a sushi bar that should just be called a counter. $120 per person isn't expensive for sushi. But it is for the experience we just had.

I stopped in for dinner tonight after months of coworkers talking about their amazing meals…read morehere...It did not disappoint. I am so glad I went, and yet, so disappointed that I've lived/worked in the area for a year and tonight was only my first visit. From the exterior, it looks like your run-of-the-mill strip mall sushi joint. And, to be honest, the interior decor did nothing to break that stereotype - however, we go to restaurants to eat the food, right? Not obsess over fake bamboo plants and mini cherry blossoms :) Unlike the insipid strip mall sushi I have been eating in other towns, this food was outstanding. My order: Shrimp shumai - I am addicted to this dish in general. I have to order it everywhere. I know I shouldn't as they're small and don't pack the punch the $7-$10 menu price commands - but still, like a moth to a flame, I'm incapable of saying no. These were better than most places - but still small and inhaled so quickly, my waitress didn't have to return for my plate - she just took it. I then got the blackened tuna sashimi salad - FANTASTIC. I wish I got 2. Fresh, flavorful. Really what I was looking for (I did ask for a side of wasabi). Rounding out appetizers was the tuna sushi pizza my colleagues rave about. It was really good. Like a deconstructed tuna/avocado roll. Delicious. But I felt silly eating something with my hands at a sushi joint. I'll likely pass on that next time and save the room for an additional roll. Entree was a Spicy Girl tuna roll and a Blackened Tuna roll. Both were excellent. I wish I could still be enjoying them. If you have not yet been - go! If you have not, don't live with the regret I do by putting it off. You'll enjoy it. Ps- they have a seemingly well appointed full bar with all you'll need or want. I do not drink, all I can tell you about their beverage program is the lemon in my Diet Coke was fresh! Enjoy

It appeared as if you had a lot of pieces but it was just the opposite -- it was (I believe) 6-pieces surgically cut in-half vertically into super slim pieces. I've never had sushi cut or made into such thin pieces -- I've never even seen it this thin! The fish was fresh and the soup was good, but c'mon... the dish was prepared for a child. The interior of the restaurant looked like it did when they opened probably 20 years ago. Simply, outdated and old! The walls are covered in faded old Polaroids of customers long since deceased! Fortunately I learned of the other Japanese place just down the street offering a very bright, deco interior with a very diverse menu with ample portioned dishes.
