I eat here a lot and enjoy it and the people who work there. This was the first time I ordered delivery. Delivery was smooth and driver who delivered was very kind and polite. The woman was quick to put in my order. I was just disappointed that my ordered had soy sauce and not the vinegar like I asked and reconfirmed quite a few times about. I'm allergic to soy, so for sushi I order vinegar. My family had this delivered to the ER where we are and I wish it was with the correct sauce. The order was missing ginger with the sushi too which the receipt said "no wasabi extra ginger" so it shouldn't have been hard to forget that request... after this intense ordeal we are experiencing at the ER we just wish the order was fulfilled properly because food is the highlight of the day. If it was a normal day, I probably wouldn't leave a review. It's just a terrible day. I would still eat at Yasuda again. I just think I wouldn't order delivery when there are some fine details to consider. If it's a straight forward order without substitute requests I'm sure it is a smooth experience. Again- the people are pleasant and always a nice time dinning in. I ordered the Miso soup to start, then a Sashimi deluxe plate then a spicy tuna cone. Everything was prepared perfectly! After a quick look on Yelp, we decided to give it a shot (we have a rule where we only go to spots with a 4.0 and above, and this was ranked 4.7 at the time). Though nothing fancy, the food is incredibly delicious and higher quality than most places we've been to. Awesome local spot for fresh sushi (and I almost cried upon opening the menu at how the prices were a fraction of the sushi spots in NYC). Hostess and the chefs making the sushi were extremely friendly. My mom and I ordered the seafood salad, the avocado salad, and the sashimi deluxe. Really liked how the greens weren't drowning in dressing and the slices of avocado were cut neatly and uniformly and arranged on top with care (yeah, I know it's just avocado but the attention demonstrated towards this slightly lesser task was a good tip that the cuts of fish would also be neat and clean). The salmon and the yellowtail in particular were delicious; could have eaten more of those. They have plenty of seating indoors. Tasty miso soup. Got the tip about the parking lot too late and ended up just parking somewhere on the street. Definitely worth a stop if you're near the area. read more

I don't know about you, but I'm obsessed with seafood. I seriously started salivating with Sushi, the minute I decided to only eat Seafood as part of my lifestyle. And the rest is history. Not many places in Kingston were opened- especially, a day after Thanksgiving as we were slowly heading up further North. But Yasuda was!!! I'll be honest, I had my doubts and just looked at the surface without even going inside. But glad I did! Well-kept and clean with the main dining room up front and another, off to the right with lights off (figured with the light foot traffic after Thanksgiving, it's kept that way for a reason). Joyce was welcoming with a smile from ear to ear. Menu was plentiful and had a hard time deciding what to go for. Seaweed Salad as my starter was very good. 'Sweet Potato Tempura Roll'- was very tasty- even with the light Wasabi Cream on it- and so glad it wasn't drenched with it. I liked that Yasuda's sushi swatches had a nice length and didn't fall apart. My 'Kingston Roll' with Tuna/ Avocado/Crunchy Salmon was excellent! The Man had his usual and were all very good also. By the way, I just went with a Tuna Roll as part of my Check-In offer, but you have a nice selection to choose from. Price was good for being up here.
