Superb. Every last bite. Can't wait to try the tasting menu next time. I rarely order mackerel but Sushi Makio made it one of my favorites now.

However, the rolls were a bit small for the price. The highlight of the meal was the New Brunswick raw oysters and the complimentary hot green tea. The New Brunswick raw oysters with yuzu were of high quality, offering a clean and smooth taste.

Best sushi I have ever had! Fish is so fresh and flavorful. This is by far the best sushi place in the hudson valley and I cant wait to go back. Great job by the wait staff and of course the sushi chef

The Good. I love being greeted with a hot towel. Instead of just Sapporo and Kirin, they had local Kingston beer as well. The shumai and sugar snap peas were quite tasty. The fish was fresh, the presentation gorgeous. Overall, an enjoyable meal. The Bad. We probably ordered eight of the Makio Must-Have and Signature rolls, plus a few appetizers and a noodle dish before it was enough food for four. This was far, far more expensive than we expected a sushi dinner in the Hudson Valley to be, mostly because the rolls were far less food than expected. I do feel as though presentation takes precedence over taste here. The Graffiti Roll (shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, salmon, crab, avocado, cucumber, tobiko), while tasty enough, is essentially separate, smaller pieces of each of the fish listed, as opposed to a roll where all pieces include each ingredient listed. Not the combination of flavors we were expecting, and not ideal for sharing. The Ugly. -Our poor waiter accidentally threw soy sauce all over my mother. Luckily, none of it got on me. -Being a horrible son that is relieved when your mother gets things spilled on her, rather than you.

It's a huge space with a lot of room for regular and hibachi tables, with modern decor. Service is very friendly and consistent which is not always the case with these kinds of places. They had an issue with one of the vents while we were here, however they quickly fixed it. Just needed to leave the back door open for a bit. Drinks were on the sugary side which is typical; my mai thai was good however I couldn't do 2. Soup and salad were good. Chef was one of the better hibachi chefs I've gotten. Wish they flipped shrimp instead of veggies for an appetizer, but hey, recession. More importantly than the presentation and show (which was good), they did a really good job with the food. Steak was perfectly cool if a bit over seasoned. Scallops were seared better than I've had at a lot of fancier restaurants. Massive portions too when the veggies, noodles and rice were factored in too. Of course my food got switched at home, and I got a fuckton of chicken instead of my steak. I mourned this, however will survive to return again.

The broth is excellent in both the Miso and Kuro ramen; the Kuro in particular was a standout, especially paired with the house-made gyoza. The kimchi tasted fresh, and it was great to see real wakame used rather than a shortcut substitute. The wait staff is a bit inexperienced, and the restaurant layout is awkward. Reservations are apparently recommended, and this isn't a place to visit if you're in a rush. Still, those minor drawbacks are easy to overlook given the quality of the food. You'd have to drive into NYC to get better ramen. Highly recommended.

Plus, we were craving a soul-soothing, heart-warming bowl of noodle goodness to warm us up from the inside out. Tanma's front counter space is petite with about 6 stools and giving you an eyeful of ramen magic in the kitchen. The izakaya is fun with Japanese rock music playing- which loosely reminded me of Kill Bill's 5.6.7.8's scene. Tanma's owner was thorough and gave hubs and I a crash course on bowl+spoon placement, aligning the wakame to be at the front, sipping the broth first, pulling noodles high and dipping them in and out the broth. And then just then you move your head closer to the bowl, so that you can take in the delicious ramen combo without spilling any and slurp it up. I've had ramen in Scarsdale with a clear veg broth, topped with crispy tofu, grilled tomato slices, Napa cabbage and other grilled veg. So getting an all-veg broth with a splash of coconut cream to mimic pork broth here wasn't what I expected. Getting an all-clear veg broth here isn't an option either- but what's important is we were assured it's a herbi-broth that's used. The kimchi, bamboo shoots and shredded cabbage toppings were nice- but I opted out of the vegan chashu instantly. Again, I was assured it's vegan- but no thank you. This was an experience for both of us- and we liked it. So whether you're a ramen pro or curious newcomers like my husband and I- and you're ready to dive into the deep end of this noodle soup pool, Tanma is the place.

I haven't hit an All You Can Eat buffet since I worked in Castle Hill back in the day, when the…read moreThrogs Neck AYCE spot was my weekly guilty pleasure. Fast forward to now, I finally dipped back in. This time, at Super Bowl. Hubs and I didn't leave disappointed. First off, the seating here is actually comfortable. You can breathe, spread out and actually enjoy the meal. Bonus points: if you're not feeling the buffet marathon, they have an à la carte menu. But their buffet is the real showstopper: They don't skimp on meats and seafood. Plenty of options, cooked up different ways and the seafood is fresh. Salads, Rice & Veg: Yeah, they've got the "healthy section"- but honestly, as much I like salad, I wasn't here for lettuce. There's even a Hot Pot Station that looked fun. I hope they have veg broth. Maybe next time? The bottom line is this- Super Bowl nails its clean, has a good spread, the prices are solid and service is on point. Plates are cleared fast, drinks topped up without that awkward flagging someone down. And, you walk out full and satisfied. This is definitely a level up from the run-of-the-mill AYCEs and nice to see Super B. up in these neck of the woods.

What a surprise,…read morewhen we drove up, and found out that it was Chinese food, and darn good Chinese food at that. We've been ordering from here for years, and I can't believe that I've never done a review! We have never had a bad item off their large menu yet. The place is clean, I like the atmosphere, and everybody is friendly. One thing that we have not done from here, is the hot pot, (the "Super Bowl" in the name,) where you cook your own food, tableside, In a bowl of hot broth that they provide you. I've done that before at other restaurants, and it is a lot of fun. I hear that it is extremely good, here. . They do delivery through most of the delivery platforms, but you are going to pay a higher amount than if you ordered from them directly. And not only the delivery fee, either. The menu prices are higher if you go through one of the delivery platforms. If you are going to be ordering food to pick up, the best way to do it is directly through their webpage. That way you don't have to pay a premium... Tonight, I ordered from their large "all day special" menu. An egg roll, your choice of soup, your choice of rice, and your choice of entrée from their large list, all for only $14.95, plus tax. That's an amazing price! Tonight, I ordered the chicken curry with egg drop soup and fried rice. It's amazing that I got so much food for such a small price. The eggroll was large and delicious, and the soup was excellent. Not too oily, not too greasy. The rice was just the right texture, and the chicken curry was amazing! The chicken was tender, and the veggies were not over or underdone. Also, I could definitely taste the curry. It was just a little bit spicy, but not too much. Just enough that I knew the spice was there. After the egg roll and the soup, I barely made it halfway through my main course. The rest ended up as my midnight snack. We will continue to order from here. Thank you! UPDATE: The food was so good last night, I ordered from the "special menu again, for the next two nights in a row. The first night, .I had the shrimp and veggies with brown rice, and wonton soup. There was a one dollar "upcharge" for the wonton soup, but that was no big deal at all, because it was chock full of large tender wontons, with a delicious filling. There was a good amount of decent sized. Tender, shrimp, and again, the veggies were done just right. The rice was good as usual. I didn't mention it last night, but there was a tiny taste of cinnamon to the eggroll. I didn't mind it at all, because that comes from the "five spice" that they use. The five spice really adds to the flavor. Once again, half of the meal is going to be my midnight snack. The second night, pretty much the exact same excellent experience. I had the wonton soup again, and this time I had the "Thailand chicken" with fried rice. I was worried about the name, but there was not a "spicy" symbol next to it on the menu, so I asked. She said it was not spicy. Once again, the chicken and veggies were excellent. It had a very good sauce. I can't really describe it, because I can't recognize the flavors, but it was very good. As for spice? Again, there was just a tiny bit of spice, just enough that I knewthat it was there. As is a bad habit of mine,, I tore into it so fast, I forgot to get a picture. Thanks again for the great food!!
