First off, this site is now called Blue Compass RV in Surprise AZ. We bought a new Bush Whacker plus camper trailer. On our first trip one of the doors on the cabinet fell off, the air conditioning vent on the side of the camper blew off the side while driving, the table was so wobbly we couldn't sit anything on it, the bench seat moved with the camper and tore a section in the wall and the whole frame of the bench fell apart (never even sat in the seat). Took this camper in for repairs. It took over 3 months to get this completed. Kept getting that we were waiting on the Manufacture. After getting that excuse too many times, I asked for the number and called the manufacture myself. They informed me that the parts were not ordered until 3 months after we took our camper in. Per their records, the parts were shipped out 3 to 4 days after receiving the order. Then to make matters worse, they gave me the tracking numbers of the parts and come to find out, they were delivered over a week prior to my phone call to the manufacture to see what the holdup was. After calling back the dealer and telling them that the parts were delivered and who signed for them. They finally found them and blamed the UPS driver. We have had to cancel several camping trips due to the camper being in the shop for repairs. Now after getting our camper - the a/c is not working, will not blow cold air at all. The dealer told us that if the outside temperature gets above 90 degrees, that the a/c will stop working and just blow hot air. So here we are waiting and waiting again for repairs that take way too long to get fixed. Our last trip with the camper, the camper was in with service for at least 2 weeks. We had another camping trip planned (the 2nd one for 3 days). I called them on a Monday to tell them I would be picking up the camper on Friday. Friday came and I picked up the camper. Got it home, that evening went out to get it ready for the trip and what did I find - the a/c unit and whole section was still torn apart. Nothing was put back together at all. Called them on Saturday morning - told them I was bringing the camper back and I expected it to be put back together when I get there. We have only had the camper for 9 or 10 months and we have only used it 2 times since we have gotten the camper. It has been in the shop more time than we have had it. Also, no Blackstone grill hook up parts, so they had to order them so we could use the built-in grill. On our 2nd trip with it, which was only for 3 days, we had to fix a water leak in the outside sink. It kept leaking water into the bottom of the camper. We have had nothing but problems and poor service. Very disappointed and wishing we never bought this camper or at this dealer. Staff - mostly great. Here is the red flag - when I asked (during my 3rd visit) if they have any objection to me bringing in an independent inspector, I was told that for insurance reasons I cannot but that they have a great service department. Big red flag. So you want me to commit to a 10 yr mortgage like deal that you will make thousands of bucks on but I can't have it inspected by a 3rd party? Couple things for those wanting to buy: 1. Reputable inspectors have insurance so no reason to say no. 2. ... If a dealer is unwilling to let you inspect - go elsewhere. I don't want to buy an RV then discover issues and have it sitting for months on end waiting for service. Question - you don't have confidence in the RVs you get from manufacturers? No reason. It to allow an independent, insured inspector unless you are shady and trying to hide something. read more

Believe the terrible reviews you read about the Surprise location of Tom's Camperland. Living in Mesa, I visited the nearby Mesa location first as I began my RV journey. After narrowing down my travel trailer search, I identified a model that the Mesa location did not carry... but the Surprise location did. The wonderful salespeople in Mesa advised me that they could still assist me with my purchase since Tom's Camperland is a family-owned business. So I took a trip out to Surprise to see the model I was interested in. John was the salesperson in Surprise who showed me around the lot to that model. He started out seemingly nice and informative... well, until I asked about the price and told him that I found this identical unit (actually the other dealerships with this model offered an additional upgrade/option). In a blatant lie, John and his manager Matt told me that no one offers that option on this particular model. They then proceeded to tell me how that upgrade was a bad one... and I wouldn't want it anyway. I had already been in contact with a few other dealerships who did offer that manufacturer upgrade as I was narrowing down my search for the right model... and I had also visited a dozen other dealers' websites so I knew this was a flat out lie, but that's what dealers do... so not a huge deal. As the conversation continued focusing on price, Matt, the manager, said that they price match, but "not on price"... just on the discount that another dealer offers. Weird, and most likely just their way of ensuring they can still screw customers who legitimately find a better deal elsewhere, but whatever. I intended to continue working with the awesome people at the Mesa location, so I would be rid of these jerks soon enough. I left and discussed options with my wife... and we decided to make the purchase. And this is where it really gets bad -- as intended, I worked with the Mesa location and agreed on a sales price for this unit... and then paid a $500 deposit to hold the unit. The Mesa team informed me that I would unfortunately then have to finalize documents with the Surprise team who had to complete delivery due to licensing with the manufacturer. I didn't really have a choice, so I waited to hear from the Surprise team. And nothing... no call, no e-mail, no text... just complete radio silence. I saw that the unit was marked as pending on the website... so I figured they were busy. And then the next day the unit was available again. I reached out to the Mesa team again... and they then informed me that Surprise refused to moved forward with the deal and release the unit at that price! My pending deal is now slowly dying while Mesa tracks down another unit for me. If this was my family-owned business, I would fire manager Matt immediately. What a crappy way to do business with absolutely no honor or regard for the truth. I'm giving Mesa an opportunity to make things right, but am ready to just go elsewhere to complete my purchase at this point. Greatly disappointed with the lack of honor and the "rip-off the customer mentality" of Tom's Camperland in Surprise. Do yourself a favor and don't give Tom's Camperland in Surprise your business. *ONE STAR* **UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE BELOW COMMENT FROM THE BUSINESS** Matt's comment below is another lie. I did not negotiate a price at the Surprise store, just inquired into price and they offered their "best price" which I told them was not even in the ballpark of other similar units I found elsewhere. I had been working with the Mesa store all along... and that is THE REASON I drove to the Surprise location to view that exact unit. The team at Mesa knew EXACTLY what model I was purchasing and they did NOT make a mistake -- I literally have a printed quote from Mesa that we negotiated with the specific model and stock # printed in large font. This is just another example of the Surprise location's inability to take any accountability for their behavior. Ridiculous. read more

I don't give 5 star ratings just to be up front. My opinion is there's always room for improvement somewhere within any business. Now to why I have these guys n gals a solid 4 is due to every time I've been up one of there lots to buy yet another camper shell or topper or whatever you wish to call or. I haven't yet learned, so it seems, that I need to buy new vehicles that are of the same generation such as Ram Trucks and they had 4th trucks which was one I owned and bought a shell only to a few later now own a 5th generation ram truck. And of course they're both totally different. So yep now that I just bought a shell for my new truck I'm hoping I'll keep this one long enough to get at least some value out of the shell. Prices are average when compared to other places that sell shells. I did just recently do a bit of price shopping and there was about a couple of hundred bucks difference between them all. Not enough to make me go pay the cheapest one when I get good service from Tom's. BTW Tom's wasn't the most expensive nor the cheapest but having prior dealings with them I just stayed with Tom's Camperland. You won't be disappointed by any of the staff that you come in contact with. All are very friendly and willing to take the time to answer any and all questions you may have. And of course will work with you to find the best shell/product to best fit your needs in their opinion. The final say is yours of course. But it's nice to know they're trying to look out and give you options to consider and why. I've never bought anything other then shells from them. As far the camper sales I've no opinion to share with you about. I'm pretty sure though they'd be the same way of looking out for you verses them just trying to sell you the most expensive thing that you don't need nor are happy about payments if financing anything. Long story short, you'll be satisfied with any of these locations. Friendliness and loyalty to your needs, prices brings very competitive are all the biggest reasons to keep me going back. read more

We had an excellent experience with our purchase with manager Matt Ducan and his entire staff. The process included them going over the operation of all the features of the trailer, the paper work to to do the registration involving transferring the title since we came from out of state. They even did the hookup to my tow vehicle while my wife and I were inside doing the paperwork. Swindlers. I will regret for the rest of my life the day I visited Tom's Camperland. I hope you will spare yourself the grief. I visited the Surprise location while passing through town because they happened to have something in stock that was on backorder at most dealerships around the country. The purpose of my visit was mostly fact-finding, but given the supply chain issues at the time, I was in a position to make a purchase *IF* it fit my needs. Well, Matt Duncan made sure that I heard everything that I wanted to hear to make that purchase, even if he had to lie. I'm not sure how he managed to sit so still for hours answering my questions with his pants on fire like that. What I'm calling "lies" weren't standard salesmanship, but provably false, or so wildly unrealistic that no industry insider would believe it. After taking my keys to "inspect" my truck's engine and load capacity, Tom's Camperland sold me a bill of goods in the form of a camper that exceeded my truck's legal load capacity by at least 25% BEFORE factoring in the weight of belongings and passengers. Besides being illegal to operate the load, my truck also couldn't maintain safe speeds, and its brakes, suspension, tires, transmission, and other crucial parts were so overloaded that they could fail at any time. This was far from the safety that Duncan had assured me in our hours-long conversation when I asked specifically about many aspects of safety and performance and he responded with dozens of claims that proved false in retrospect. If he had represented the performance I could expect more realistically, or warned me of the potential risks, I never would have made the purchase. But then again, he probably knew that at the time. I know he knew about the undersized engine, because I have a recording of him interrupting me 3x to say he knew I had a V6 engine at the time of sale. Less than 24 hours after leaving the lot, I called Tom's Camperland to let them know that it was obvious that my truck was inoperable with the camper installed, that it was a safety hazard, and requesting terms for return. They stalled and stonewalled me, saying the financing terms prohibited it (untrue, according to the lenders), and then using the fact that I'd left the area as an excuse to refuse the return. I repeatedly said that I would take responsibility for returning the unit at my own risk and expense, but when after 3 days I finally succeeded in getting Heath (the manager on duty) on the phone, he told me unequivocally, "The camper is yours." Unable to exceed 50mph on a flat road, slowed to 35mph on the interstate on an incline, with a truck so overloaded that it was illegal to operate, a warning from the vehicle manufacturer that my engine could overheat at any time, and stranded almost 1000 miles from home, my problem was not just buyer's remorse. After explaining what recourse I intended to take, Duncan did eventually offer to SELL the camper for me on consignment. A consignment sale would have netted me a roughly $10,000 loss for something that was not what I was told I was buying, and that I owned for less than 24h. On the other hand, Tom's Camperland would have netted TWO commissions from selling my camper. Uh, no. Instead, I disputed the transaction with my credit card company and filed a fraud complaint with the state attorney general. The credit card company found in my favor and returned my downpayment, which Tom's Camperland then represented to legal authorities as "theft" and "fraud" (spurious claims that went nowhere). They continued to misrepresent facts when responding to my consumer fraud complaint, making whatever claims would fit their narrative, even when there was extensive documentation to prove otherwise. E.g. TC: "The customer made no attempt to return the vehicle." Me: "Here are 4 times when I offered to return it IN WRITING." While I have recovered some money from the downpayment, it has done little to offset the roughly $50,000 in extra expenses that this mess has cost me. It is no exaggeration to say that Tom's Camperland's dishonest sales tactics have ruined my financial health, put my and others' lives in danger, and have had a significant negative impact on my life and health overall. I hope you never have the misfortune of being the target of such unscrupulous dishonesty. Side note to give you a sense of how these people operate: When I picked up the camper, I left my tailgate and camper shell on the lot, ostensibly to be destroyed. I noticed after leaving that they had taken the camper shell key off my key ring without telling me, which is strange if they really intended to destroy it. When I called back the following day, one of my first questions was whether I could get my property back. They eventually agreed to let me pick them up, and when I drove back to Surprise (all the way from San Francisco) a week later to pick them up, I was not surprised to see my camper shell was cleaned and marked for sale. read more

I bought a 2022 passport 219hb, for camping. Heath and Greg were the best people I have dealt with in a long time. Both were very professional, and informative about the trailer n my 1/2 ton tundra. I've traveled through Arizona and California for 8 months without any problems, hills and flat roads. Christal in the service department was awesome when I came in for a recall on my awning. I would recommend this place to anyone for a travel trailer or rv. But as in all things, do your homework and know what you want read more

I did end up purchasing an RV. Pros: The purchasing experience was good. The salesman was informative and helpful without being too pushy. The service department installed my weight distribution hitch (there is a charge) properly and walked me through the basics of hooking up and the operation of the RV. The financing paper work was quick and the rates were slightly better than 3rd party offerings. Cons: During financing I was told that I could cancel GAP at anytime. Two written notices, three emails, one phone call and a month later... I still have GAP. Update: After writing a review Tom's did follow up and explain that GAP takes 8-10 weeks to cancel. Also it is taken off the total loan amount and the payments stay the same. Once you take GAP whether you cancel it or not it will be in the monthly payment. Upgrading +1 stars for follow up. Still not pleased about the lack of specificity up front or in follow up communications before writing a review. read more

We purchased a camper several months ago. We believe we got a good deal on it and the financing went smoothly enough. Until we signed for everything, the salesperson responded to phone calls and emails quickly and was very professional. When we picked the camper up, it had not been detailed or prepped properly. The price was still written on the unwashed windows and the interior hadn't been cleaned. True, we could have left it to be detailed properly, but we got the feeling that the person that was tasked with doing it wasn't really up for the job. We took it home and cleaned it ourselves, which took a couple of hours. It was filthy to say the least. It's frustrating because they had our deposit and commitment to purchase the camper for 5 days. Instead, they waited until the literal last minute to pull it off the lot. There were a couple of issues with the gaskets which had come off and the tires were severely under inflated. Also, the door was misaligned. The service department took a while to get a hold of, but we were able to finally get the camper in to make some repairs to gaskets, the misaligned door, and some other minor items that would have been discovered if it had been prepped properly. The door was never fixed properly. It was difficult to get questions answered about some of the finer points of the camper, so I called the manufacturer (several times) and got answers to my questions, including ways to fix the door. There was a big discussion about tire pressure between the manufacturer and the service manager. Hard to believe the dealer didn't know what the tires should be inflated to. The fact that I drove them on a highway 20 psi under inflated bothered me a lot. They didn't seem too concerned though. Recently, we had another issue with the gaskets and we put a call into the service department. They still have not called back. We did say it was for warranty work. I guess that was our mistake. We understand that RV dealerships don't make a lot of money on warranty work, but we find their attitude about it shortsighted. This is the second camper that we've purchased in a year and we will probably buy at least one more, if not two, when we retire in a couple of years. Their lack of forward thinking is going to lead us to buy from someone else and just make an assumption on the quality of their service department. We have mixed feelings about this place. You might be able to get a good deal from them on the purchase of a camper or RV, but just be aware that they won't go out of their way for warranty work. Also, insist that they prep the camper properly. And do your own homework on the model you purchase in case you just give up and make the repairs yourself, which is what we're doing. read more

Hello,,, I purchased not 1 but 2 ARE Cap Shells from Toms Camper land approx 5 months apart and could not be happier. I was treated like gold from the moment I walked through the door. As a business owner I have noticed that the only time people complain is when they don't get their way. I have read all the bad reviews and can see that if these customers don't get the business to bend and comply to what they though they were buying instead of what is actually on the Invoice or Purchase order then they file bad reviews. This is SAD!!! As a General Contractor I have come to live by the one simple phrase that is 100% true. "Buyers are Liars" Consumers should really pay attention to what they buy and what they agree to. We are all bound by our Signed Agreements. I am 100% positive if Toms Camperland did not follow their agreements then they would be getting sued by Multiple buyers. Seems these complainers are NOT paying attention to their contracts. To leave a Bad review for NOT getting the price you demanded or the price offered by another seller is a JOKE. Example,,, Go to a GMC dealer and price a new truck. Then go to another GMC dealer. They don't have to offer you the same price just because another GMC dealer gave you a better price. EVERY BUSINESS has different cost to do Business, Profit & Overhead. Some dealers do not have as much overhead as others so they can discount their price more. Some dealers have more volume discounts versus others. These are things customers should pay attention to. Just because you don't get the price you want or feel you should does not justify a bad review. This is what is wrong with this world!!!! If you don't like the price then go somewhere else!! It is that simple. Toms Camperland was an Awesome experience for me. Sorry to see all the bad reviews because my experience was GREAT!!! We purchased a brand new travel trailer from Tom's recently. I will say with 100% certainty, the sales side of the house here was amazing. The finance person is amazing. The repairs side... totally different experience. We've had our camper here two separate times for repairs. While it's upsetting we're having to repair a brand new camper, it happens and it's not Tom's fault. What is, is the experience. Both times our RV was in for repairs, our toilet was left entirely disgusting. We were assured the first time that employees do not use the bathrooms while servicing the campers, and the mess must have been caused by a customer. We were told the service techs would be reminded to lock trailers they were not actively working on. I cleaned the mess. Now, after being in for repairs a second time, the toilet was left a disgusting mess for me to clean. Again. We will not be back. Sad to see that they don't apply the same level of care to the trailer once it's not theirs anymore. read more

Where to begin with this place....... Initially, everything was great. Our sales person was knowledgeable and showed us a rig that we really liked, in our budget and in the weight class we needed. We mentioned that we already had financing through another bank. (I actually verified with the loan officer that they work with this dealership before we came) The sales person said that was fine and mentioned that his finance manager would want to find us a better rate, so we applied for in house financing as well. We were told that it would take a few days, but if we didn't like the rates offered, we could just use our bank. I called them 2 days later and was told that it will still be another day or 2. An hour later, I get alerted that our credit file had been pulled. So, they probably just forgot to do it and were reminded when I called, then gave me some BS about it "taking time". That was fine, no big deal..... I get a call from the finance manager a couple of days later and he gave me his rate and terms. I let him know that the rate I got from my bank is better, so I will use them. He begins to tell me that if I want the trailer, I finance through him and he refused to work with another bank. The bank I used JUST closed a deal with Toms Camperland in February, so I know this guy is full of it. The rest of the phone call was him being a condescending jerk, telling me that his sales person, John is wrong and he "needs to educate him in this business" He honestly thought that I was going to happily go back there and sign his deal after being jerk on the phone to me. Pure narcissism! The next day we went to another dealer, used our bank and have a great trailer we are happy with. And the owner's response is what I would have expected from these guys. We had a great customer service and special order experience at Tom's Camperland...five star for sure. Heath was our sales consultant, and he took extra time answering all of my camper shell related questions. We were looking for a shell for our new 2019 Toyota Tacoma, in the Toyota cement color code. No problem...Heath used the Toyota factory door sticker to reference the correct color code, and used this to special order our shell from Leer. After looking at several in store samples, and Heath's own Tacoma just outside the front door, we made our selection. A Leer LX100 shell with some custom options. We were hoping to get our shell in time for an upcoming trip to Colorado, but it was going to be close with the 4-5 week special order window. Fingers crossed, we chose the win-door side window options, as well as the front glass removable window option. The side win-doors make access to items in the shell very...well...accessible. And, the front window removal option has several benefits, most notably providing access to the back window of the Tacoma for cleaning. I hate seeing spots, especially in the rear view mirror when traveling. Options selected, we drove away knowing that we had chosen a very nice camper shell. Surprisingly, a week before our departure date Tom's Camperland called and told us our shell was IN!!! This was great news, so we scheduled an install day and headed over at our arranged for time. I waited in the retro customer lounge, replete with vending machines, and our shell was professionally installed in under 30 minutes. I made the final payment arrangements with Heath, he did a thorough walk around and explained all the features (the win-doors would take some time to easily slide as the weather stripping was new and sticky) as well as showing me the front of the shell window removal process. This was great and we appreciated the extra time getting to know all the features. Heath handed me the keys for the locking windows and back door, and we were on our way to happily pack for our upcoming trip! If you are shopping for truck bed accessories in the Phoenix area, give Heath at Tom's Camperland a shout, he will take very good care of you. We will be back. read more

Poor service at the Surprise location. after buying a new trailer there they wanted to charge me $800 for to go over the trailer with me. I refused to pay the $800 and when I went to pick it up they did go over it with me at no charge. The problem is the guy going over the features with me new nothing about the trailer For example he didn't know where the low point drain was and even what winterizing a trailer meant. It turns out that I knew more about the trailer than he did regarding many of the other features and they were going to charge me $800 for nothing. A few Months later the battery died and after doing some research I found out the battery they put in was a cheap battery that most dealers don't even use. The first guy I talked to said in order to get it replaced I would need to drop it off and they need to test it after charging it overnight (even though I already did so). Since I live over 21/2 hours away that would mean I would have to make 2 trips (10 hours driving total) or stay overnight. Then if it was found to be a bad battery they would only replace it with the same cheap battery or charge me $1000 for a lithium. They don't know much about their trailers, they put the cheapest batteries in those trailers that don't last but a few months, then do not make any effort to come to a reasonable solution regarding the warranty Update: After I made my review Matt called me back and offered me a credit towards another battery other than the $1,000 battery or the same cheap battery that they sold me in the first place. I told him that since I wasn't given that option earlier I had already purchased another battery at my own cost. He called me a liar numerous times during our phone conversation (although when I asked how I lied he could not give me a legitimate answer) and said that I would be banned from any further warranty work at any of their locations because I gave them a bad review. Not the kind of person and company that I want to do business with. My suggestion is to avoid this place and if you give a bad review expect to get a retaliation from them. It's too bad because the trailer I purchased is a good quality product but I didn't realize how important it was to vet the place you buy and would need warranty service from. read more

scratched our truck up terribly when they put the shell on our truck. we had a brand new tailgate put on with no scratches (one week prior) and they scratched it all up. Both rear quarter panels have brand new deep fresh scratches I would not recommend buying from here. Tom's Camperland does not take responsibility when they mess up. read more

STAY AWAY! Ordered an ARE camper shell for one of our trucks with a side window that opens so that we can access tools and/or parts. When you reach in thru the opening there are fiberglass shavings that stick out along the rails which will cause an irritation on the arms. I asked the folks at Tom's why wasn't I told about the shavings and they said that's the way they come. It was my understanding that the rails would be smooth. I wasn't asking for carpet, but why wouldn't there be a smooth finish? Not one of the shells in their showroom displayed the fiberglass like that. If I had known about I would have asked what they can do about it. All I got was that there is nothing that they can do and I ordered it that way. Tom's staff said that "in the 17 plus years I've never had that problem". Well here you go, now you do and you don't want to try and do anything about it. Well here's my review and I will NEVER shop here again and I hope that other folks will think twice about purchasing from hI was trying to support a local business. Well shame on me for not being a camper shell professional and knowing everything about a shell. UPDATED 5/18 in reply to Matt D's comment. Flat out lie by Tom's Camper Land. They did NOT offer the carpet liner at no cost. "I was told what do you want us to do"? "Eat the cost of the top?" So far so good. We have yet to finalize our purchase, but I will say this. As a woman, this is the most comfortable I have felt buying any sort of vehicle. I went to numerous RV sales in Arizona and every single location treated me with the most misogynistic and sexist attitude. I specifically called and asked to speak with a female sales representative, and they informed me they did not have any. I spoke with John Nelson, and I must say he is great to work with. I explained to him what I was looking for, and he was very matter of fact, honest, and advising. I called with questions about a camper shell for a nissan pickup truck. Matt suggested i drive down to his store so he could better help me. I drive 17 miles and as i am parking my truck, another guy parks next to me and he races to the door and goes ahead of me (okay, not a problem). There is a sign warning about carona virus and asks that only 1 customer at a time enter the store. I comply by their guidelines and this old man comes up and just cuts in front of me and goes into the store and another associate helps him. Gary (employee) looks at me and tells me to sit on the bench and as soon as an associate becomes available, i will be taken care of. The old man leaves, i look in the door window and see 2 associates bullshitting. I tap on the window and the one associate says, "1 minute". I sit down on the bench and a woman walks right in and they both are taking care of her, now i am getting frustrated. 2 minutes later a man and woman show up and just walk in the door. The associates seperate and 1 is helping the lady while the other is helping both the lady and her husband. I was up all night working, then drove 17 miles to wait more than 30 minutes without even being waited on while others were waited on immediately. I got mad and said screw it. I drove home. I wanted to call the manager to let them know how f+cked up their customer service was. I bought my first travel trailer at Tom's Camperland which was a good experience, I traded it in 8 months later "unused" with a couple upgrades for a Toy Hauler, I was given 8K less than I paid for it, they told me there was no room to negotiate because the market had changed. One week later I saw it on there site for 1K less than I originally paid for it. Strait used car salesman tactics (lying through their teeth), my next purchase will defiantly be there. read more

We just picked up our new Arctic Fox 811 truck camper and once again Fred and Matt were wonderful to work with. Purchased an ARE cap for our 22 Jeep Gladiator for $4500.00. The first cap was cut incorrectly. Not Tom's Camperland's fault. The custom cap was sent back after we were offered a discount by the General Manager to keep it. We weren't looking for a deal or a discount . So we decided to send it back. The cap came back a second time. Rough edges, fiberglass frayed, etc. Apparently, according to the General Manager, ARE caps that are custom-made come this way sometimes and I didn't know what I was talking about. I'm not saying that all of Tom's Camperlands are the same. I'm not saying Tom's Camperland is responsible for ARE workmanship. My issue was with this location (Bell) and the General Manager and the way I was treated as a customer. Well and ARE workmanship. I'm sure that the response to this review is that I misunderstood. I am grateful that our money was returned without a restocking fee. The positive side of all this? Competition. read more

Just picked up the RV trailer Last week. After a couple uses, the toilet overflowed. Wish I tested everything at the final walk through but it was done so quickly. I should have tested all plumbing to check for leaks, but the manager said everything was tested and passed inspection. Don't take their word and make sure you check it all yourself. dealers. Response time to my complaint was about 5 hours before talking to the manager, but he Did not call back. I had to make the call. He said he will order another toilet and I will have to pick it up and install it myself Since there are no dealers in my area. It will be an all day trip to get the parts. I hope they come through with getting the parts. And I hope it solves the leak issue. . What other issues will there be? Only had it for a week. I'll let you all know. Tom's Camperland fraudulently sold me a Motorhome with a salvaged title November 2021, which means it was totaled in an accident and by definition-A salvage car title is a unique type of certificate that serves as proof of ownership for vehicles that cannot be safely and legally operated on public roads. They have promised since March 2022 to pay the loan off (Bank never received a title from Tom's) and to date they have not, even though they picked up the Motorhome in April 2022. I have had to hire an attorney because through their misconduct and continual false representation they have destroyed my credit. read more

I purchased our Forest River NoBo 19.6 a few months ago. This is our first RV purchase though we have rented trailers in the past so I am familiar with them to some extent. The sales experience was fine and the unit was competitively priced. When we left the office we received a good walk through on the unit. On our first trip we found various quality issues from loose sinks and faucets to spray glue all over the ceiling as well as silicone marks all over the outside so I am not sure what I received for the dealer prep fees I paid. I returned it to the dealer after one trip out as the main breaker continuously popped whenever the AC was running with either the hot water heater or microwave as well as a short punch list of other items such as no explanation for the external water spray usage and missing parts including the hose and nozzle. Also, after the ranger telling us multiple times our fresh water tank was overflowing I figured out it was the feature of the shower miser which was never explained to me on the walk through, and the service group seemed unaware on how it operated. Tom's Camperland told us that the breaker popping is just power management on my part which was never explained to me on the walk through but OK I guess, though all other 30 amp rentals I had would never exhibit this issue. After a few a showers I noticed there was hardly any pressure and flow coming out of the shower head and the floor seemed soft when we stepped in it. I was told that is the way the shower head is so I had to live with it. A little research on my part found the head is a 2.5 GPM unit so I tried my 1.8 GPM unit from my house and at least now water comes out all the spray holes. I removed the shower pan access plate at home and saw the support structure under the the shower pan was cut too short which is why it sank when stepping inside. A few shims glued to the 2x4 s holding the base solved that issue. When I picked the unit up I did not notice until home the rear fender flare and wheel well was dented. I inquired and was told I must have run over road debris, which I did not, and the dent is the exact size of someone running a hitch ball into the unit. I accessed the wheel well from the electrical inverter compartment and pushed the dent out as much as possible. What drove me to right this review was my latest safety issue. I purchase an EAZ WD hitch for my standard RAM pickup setup installed by the dealer. After our walk through I commented that the trailer seemed nose up when connected to the truck. I was told it is on the last hole of the shank and it is fine. Well, after a few trips now and adjusting the sway control as much as possible the trailer still has a tendency to sway with passing vehicles. When I recently inquired I was told there is a longer drop shank that I can purchase for them to install and make it level so they sent me out of there with this safety issue because they did not want to spend the extra 100 bucks to do it right. Bottom line there were quality issues with this trailer which is the manufacturers fault but the dealer did not make much effort to check at all. And the answer I recently received on the trailer hitch was just not right and should have been fixed when they installed everything the first time, especially being a safety issue. It just appears once the sale is final they want you out of there as quick as possible. I was even told when I took it back to work the punch list that the Avondale dealer is better set up to conduct these repairs so buyer beware, sales team is great and you will get a decent price though you need to go over everything with a fine tooth comb and stand your ground if there is something wrong. read more

I've ordered 4 camper shells for the 4 different trucks I've owned in my life and this was by far the best service I've received. This shell was an ARE V-Series. The ordering and payment ($1,699.29) took only a few minutes, and the shell arrived in 14 days. The installation was only an hour and I was on my way. As for the shell, the color is spot on. Fit and finish is excellent. Tom's Camperland installed it with clamps (no cheesy nuts and bolts) and used a quick disconnect for the LED brake light.
