He showed up on time and is a very personable guy. Jack quickly diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher (was not draining after a cleaning cycle) as caused by improper installation of a garbage disposal by my tenants. The problem was fixed without the need of any additional parts; just needed to correct the garbage disposal issue. Then I asked Jack to take a look at my oven door as it was not closing/seating all the way shut. After removing the door there was the possibility the oven door needed new hinges. After reinstalling the door, the problem was fixed as the issue seemingly was simply misaligned hinges. I found Jack to be refreshingly knowledgeable and professional. And his fees are more than reasonable for the services rendered. These days it is a challenge to find competent, professional and honest contractors. But EcoFix is all of the good traits that customers are looking for when searching for contractors. I cannot recommend EcoFix more highly.

The "technician" Matthew did not have my correct address the morning of our appointment. He stated his company "does not allow them to have the customer's address and gives them just gps coordinates" He was late about 3 hours. He shows up in his personal vehicle , no company vehicle. He does not carry any parts on his truck. So he came to my house just to guess on what part was not working and ordered something off of Amazon. No diagnostic tools , no F codes , just mumbo gumbo about how he has so much experience on washers and it could be two things. My drain pump or my lid lock sensor. I had mentioned to him earlier that , I had checked the drain pump for a clog and it was clear. He misheard me or thought I said I replaced it. I didn't replace it. I just checked if it was clogged. He tells us , he'll order the lid sensor and will come back the next day. The next day , I text him. Hey what's your eta? No answer. No text. Just silence. I call the company. Calls me back and tells me the part is not here yet and he'll be there later in the afternoon. I told him just to come by the next morning. Strange an appliance repair company doesn't carry parts. They order them on Amazon. Wow, okay. This morning. Comes to my house , switches the lid lock sensor. Realizes its not the lid lock sensor and tells my wife, " Hey bro , I think its the drain pump so I'll have to come back another day , so I'll have to charge you another trip charge and if its not the drain pump , it might be the control board" Wife says he called her bro like 7-8 times while explaining the extra charges. She texts me to call him. I called him to question why we are getting charged again if I already had a quote on the repair. Seems like charging me for extra trips to get Amazon parts is not a smart business decision. I asked him why did he not check if it was the drain pump first. He said he didn't because I had already replaced it once. I never said that. I checked if it was clogged. I told him just to leave. We'll sort if out with a real appliance repair company. He then tells me he is sick of f**king people like me and that this always happens to him. Then hangs up. Then he proceeds to text me 14 times on how much he was saving us with prices of different drain pumps and that he is exhausted from difficult customers. What a nut job. What a terrible company. The way he speaks about his superiors and the company itself should be a sign of what inept people hired him in the first place. Cussing to customers and complaining to them is such a red flag. I would like to express how impressed I am with Mike from TX Elite. Not only did he help my wife…read moreand me with our issue, but he was also extremely helpful and courteous throughout the whole process. Our freestanding oven stopped heating on both the cooktop and oven sections. My wife called TX Elite and spoke with Mike, and he walked her through checking the breakers and troubleshooting the problem as much as possible over the phone. He initially determined it was likely the control board. Upon further inspection, I found that the electrical plug on the oven wasn't tightened down fully and was arcing when turned on. I fixed the issue right away and the oven started working again. We sent Mike pictures of what we found, and he called us back immediately to make sure the repair was done correctly. He didn't charge us anything since he hadn't come out to the house, which we truly appreciated. His knowledge and experience even just over the phone were top notch.
