I originally ordered the unagi bowl, which I was super excited for! I feel the portion of eel was small compared to what was pictured on the menu. It was 5 smaller pieces. The broccoli had some black spots, which did not seem to be as fresh. However, I was able to switch my order without a problem. Server was super understanding and I ordered the chicken karaage. The broth is super flavorful, I really enjoyed the semi-boiled egg was delightful! It was semi-busy (about half full) when we came in for dinner on a Sunday evening at 6pm. My husband and I visited a little before noon on a cold Saturday. There were already two tables of patrons, and we were the third seated. The restaurant was nicely decorated with Japanese style wooden slat walls. We were quickly given two ice waters and the table had the menus and the appetizer plates, napkins, and chopsticks. We ordered two ramens: one original and one spicy. Original: Husband had this one. I tried the broth, and it had an authentic Japanese pork broth. Super rich, fatty, and umami if you like those types of flavors. Spicy: I love spicy ramens and find original broths a little too decadent for my tastebuds. So I usually end up ordering a spicy version. This broth has a light pork aftertaste with a spicy note. The corn was a surprising yet fun texture add to the soup. Bean sprouts brought an extra crunch to the soup as well. Kimchi was well fermented, and the perfect stage for adding to a soup. The noodles were al dente, but I wish they were cooked slightly longer. I'd give the dish a 4/5. The standout aspect of the restaurant was the service. At a certain point the spicy broth had gone down the wrong tube and I was struggling, lol. The server noticed and brought over extra napkins without my asking. We came here on a Saturday night. We wanted Ramen and looked at our options. We quickly got seated and then ordered our food. It was easy to order with the server. The appetizers that we got were potato croquette, chicken katsu, and the fries. I would say that the appetizers were the star of the show. They were hot, delicious and filling. Ahhhhh Ramen!! I am a lover of ramen and I plan to try the ramen in every country/state that I travel to, but this also lifts my expectations for certain restaurant locations. I met a friend of mine who flew in from out of town to Ton-Ichi Ramen and I was underwhelmed. The location is in a busy strip mall with a popular steak house and seafood restaurant. Although the location is small, it's cute and cozy on the inside. The ramen looked beautiful upon arrival, and actually the taste of the ramen wasn't bad. However, the friend chicken in the bowl was a little overcooked. I had to remove the chicken from the bowl in order to cut the chicken in pieces. It was then that I saw that there were pieces of the chicken cut just right, and then there were parts of the chicken that were stringy and hard. The service was not top tier, but it was sustainable. Unfortunately, there was only one server/waiter for about 10 different tables. Again, the location is small, but when it's a busy Friday night, that seems like a recipe for disaster. My brother and I were craving something warm and comforting on a rainy day, and this hit the spot! We started with the edamame and pork bao buns for apps. Edamame was simple and lightly salted. The pork bao buns were so good that we ended up ordering the chicken one shortly after. The latter was our favorite - crispy and flavorful! We shared the wagyu beef ramen, 10/10 recommend! The wagyu was sooo tender, but I wish there was a bigger meat portion. Noodles were on the thinner side and broth was rich and well-seasoned with the perfect medium level of heat. My dad and I were in the area for a doctor's appointment that lasted longer than expected. We were hungry and craving for something warm and flavorful. We looked up a few places and finally decided to try out Ton-Ichi Ramen a try. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed is that we were one of the few Asian people in the restaurant. The hostess/waitress was very nice and accommodating, telling us about the menu and their most popular items. My dad and I both enjoy ramen, but are trying to cut back on pork. We were pleasantly surprised to see non-pork options available. We decided to split the Fried Chicken Ramen; ramen made with chicken broth and topped with fried chicken cutlet, bean sprout, seaweed, corn, bamboo shoots, fish cake, and a boiled egg. This came out looking very appetizing - and I am happy to share that it tasted as good as it looked! The broth was flavorful with a little kick to it. The chicken was quite tasty and while perhaps a bit over fried, it was perfectly fried to us (we live crispy food). We ordered takoyaki and shrimp tempura off the appetizer section to eat as sides. The takoyaki was the perfect balance of savory and sweet, with the sauce complimenting the flavor of the octopus. However, the shrimp tempura was overcooked and tasted like it came from a box of frozen tempura. I would give Ton-Ichi Ramen 3/5 stars. The vibe is definitely cozy, with dim lighting and booths. However, our particular booth needed to be rewiped and while the ramen itself was delicious, the shrimp tempura had me wondering how some of their other items would suffice. read more

Good flavor of broth but there was a small amount of meat in there :/ the chicken karaage was overcooked bc the chicken was stringy and lacked the juices chicken karaage should have. I'm always excited to find a place with vegetarian ramen, and they do. This is a little hole in the wall in a strip mall. There's a traffic light, which helps as you're turning off Butterfield, which is a major highway here. Parking lot is shared with a bunch of other stores and a Holiday Inn. Staff is small, so while you can seat a group of 20 it slows them down. There are three vegan options: soba with vegetables and tofu; a vegetable tempura rice bowl; and the vegan ramen, which I got with a vegetable tempure appetizer. The broth is good, the noodles are made in-house, and there are plenty of topping options (asparagus!). Staff is small so service was a bit slow (I was with a large group). Portions are copious. Come with someone or get takeout. The "spicy" ramen wasn't really so if you like spicy, get the chili oil; well worth the 75c. (The spicy edamame is nice too.) The tempura coating was crispy and on the thick side, featuring sweet potato, purple potato and broccoli. They've also got mochi, Thai ice coffee, and fruit smoothies, which I'll be checking out when I'm not with a vegan group. read more

First of all let go of the tablet and put it in my hands so I can take proper time to calculate a tip for you, holding it for me and asking if I'm done yet isn't going to make a better tip. 2nd, we didn't require much service, and nothing was exceptional, everything I literally could of just used a kiosk for and had a better experience but this waitress legit brought the order back after I added tip and signed and she demanded we give her a better tip. I should charge back the tip since service went to hell at the end of our visit. Normally we're not too impressed with suburban ramen joints (either the noodles are too Al dente or taste pre-packaged, or the broth doesn't have enough depth), but we didn't think that at all! I was excited to try this place with my friend but it didn't meet our expectations. I ordered the S05 sukiyaki and my friend ordered the R03 spicy tonkotsu ramen. The portion sizes are small and the prices are high. The flavors lacking and the quality of the meats. My marinated beef and my friend's pork were both very fatty and they skimp on the portion. There were more noodles than anything else and it was just medicore. Each entree was $14.88. After tax and tip, this was not worth $20 per person. I do have to say the service was fast and friendly. It was pretty empty in there though. There was only one other party of 2 dining in, and I understand why. There are way better options for Ramen. Sadly, we weren't impressed and won't be returning nor recommending. read more

When we asked for a fork and some added spicy sauce we went to the server and were told to go back to our seat as she was bringing it to our table however she was on the phone checking stuff. Same lack of attention when we were waiting for her to come get our order. My wife and I were the only costumers at the time.
