first time in person and hoo boy Ton Ton did not disappoint. what's interesting about this joint is the food, when ordered for delivery, is just as fresh at home as it is "on location." service was friendly and fast. I get totally turned around in the parking lot but that's to be expected. such an important addition to the PCM family of eateries and I really want it to succeed. the space was a bit disjointed, with the sushi bar separate from the dining room... but still, I absolutely love this place for ramen and trust me: you NEED to try the gyoza. you will thank me later.

I got the Hakata Tonkatsu Classic, and the broth was good but a little salty. Noodles were also the tiniest bit overdone. Overall a solid ramen. One thing to note is that this place is a separate restaurant from Miso Ko. I confused the two and thought that we could also order sushi but this was not the case. I'd come back if I was craving ramen and was in the area.

I don't know why but I was craving a nice bowl of hot ramen on a warm humid day in Georgia. Located inside the Ponce City Market food hall, Ton Ton was a hidden gem for me to satisfy my ramen urge. The noodle and broth were tasty, as well as the chashu pork in the ramen. My Tonkatsu classic bowl ($15) arrived within minutes of ordering so I didn't have to wait long. The service was great. The hostess helped me select the appetizer (go for the pork belly!) to complement my ramen. I was a happy camper after eating.

3-1/2 stars for the service. While deciding what to eat at Ponce City Market, I ended up at Ton Ton, as I was craving some noodles. I ordered Ton Ton's special, the Invincible Dan Dan Mazemen, to try out. The plate came beautifully-presented, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't up to standard: the soft-boiled egg was already hardened, and there wasn't enough thickness in the sauce to coat the noodles: as a result, the flavors tasted weak, and I wasn't getting enough of the rich mazemen flavor I'd expected. Overall, very-average noodles. I've had better mazemen elsewhere. Service was nice, though, and I appreciated them holding onto my hat, as I'd left it by accident!

I would give it 3.5 stars if I could, but it was a decent meal. I had the poke bowl to-go, and the server was really nice when taking my order. The bowl itself was pretty good, but I wasn't that big of a fan of the sauces and would have liked if there was some wasabi or ginger that came with the bowl. It was also pretty pricy for poke, although that is to be expected for a nice upscale market in Atlanta. Overall, a good meal in a bustling market.

Ton Ton is an easy dining choice at Ponce City Market. Whether I am meeting someone for a business lunch or meeting a friend after work to explore PCM - Ton Ton serves as a versatile dining option that is easy to like. Both of my recent dining experiences at Ton Ton were positive. Both at lunch and during dinner, we were seated very quickly with no wait. The ambiance is quiet, intimate, and I appreciate the attempt of the izakaya style inside the small space at PCM. Service is very quick and straightforward and this process is made even easier by the fact that there's not that many food options to choose from so you'll be able to decide on your order quickly. In all the years I have been dining at Ton Ton, even before their relocation to PCM, I have always, always ordered their Invincible Dan Dan Mazemen: brothless, minced pork, soft-boiled egg, cucumbers, spicy soybeans, szechuan oil, scallions, and sesame seeds. This dish is Ton Ton's take on the traditional Dan Dan noodles, available at many Szechuan restaurants. All these years, I have yet to find many restaurants who execute this simple dish as great as Ton Ton does - everything about their rendition is fabulous, from the flavorful minced pork to the perfectly cooked egg. This is the one dish I will continue to come back for, time after time! Overall, Ton Ton is always a great dining experience. Of course I'd come back!

Inside of PCM and adjacent to a sushi place. Been here a long long time ago but today was rainy aka calls for comforting broth. The yakitori skewers (Japanese sausage 2/5, beef 4/5) were great but they was a bit small. Got the poke (4/5), and classic ramen (3.5/5).

I came here on a Thursday afternoon to find plenty of seats to pick from. They divide the space in half between those who only want sushi on the right and those who only want ramen on the left, but not both. We started with their Tebasaki Wings which were crispy, juicy and tasty. For mains we got the Yasai and Hakata Tonkotsu Classic. I only had my rich and creamy tonkotsu but the vegetarian version was a clear broth if you wanted something lighter. Even though my broth is made from pork bones, I found it too rich and fatty. The toppings included the char siu was also not great as it was thin cut and more crispy than chewy. Overall, I was not very impressed with the ramen. Service was good and so were the wings. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come back.

Ton Ton has small but, reliable selection of ramen options. With a limited options, it really allows them to master the dishes they serve. The Tori Shoyu and the Invincible Dan Dan Mazemen are two great options--one having broth and the latter being brothless.

We found this place as a happy accident and I'm so glad we did! We thought we were going into the sushi spot but after looking at the menu, we decided that a poke bowl was close enough. All of the food was fantastic! Definitely has a vintage kissa-ten style. We ordered japanese sausage, gyoza, chicken skewers, sake, and poke. All of it was a 10/10.

Have to stop in any time we are at ponce city market! Still some of the best ramen we've ever had. I love the flavors and the noodles are perfect cooked. It's truly authentic ramen - very filling. The broth is so good. This time we tried the Japanese meats - wow! The chicken was my favorite and seasoned so uniquely! We will be back next time we're in Atlanta!

    Tonkatsu ramen with extra egg

This was so delicious! I got the tonkatsu classic ramen and the broth was just heavenly. It was made so well and so flavorful. It definitely reminded me of some of the better ramen I have had over the years around the country. I've had some pretty okay ramen and this was nowhere near there. It was excellent! You'll find this location nestled around all of the other businesses in the market. There was plenty of seating and the service was excellent. I was so glad that the heart boiled eggs came on the side as well. It was very reasonably priced and we were there before the lunch rush on a weekday. Because of that, it did not take long at all to get my food. Friendly service and a great addition to Ponce City Market. I would definitely return next time I'm around!

How could I do that??? I went for their homemade dipping noodles!! Dang! Anyway, the broth was aromatic and yummy. The Ramen with the fresh garlic (Extra charge but didnt even need it) and the chili paste...was soo comfy and paired really well with the overcast, rainy weather that day. I kept wondering...how does the chicken stay so crisp?? I've dunked it with every bite and slurp!! Gotta try! As I mentioned, I did go back. For the dipping noodles, and unfortunately, did not enjoy them. They were served cold, which I had read, and was served with a warm broth. The broth wasn't "warm" enough to thoroughly warm the thick handmade dipping noodles, for my liking. I also thought the broth was overly fishy for my taste.

We decided to try Slurpin' Ramen Bar first. I had read that they originally started in California so I had a good feeling about it and I'm so glad we went! Their tonkotsu broth was probably the best I've had in the US. It was rich and full of flavor without feeling overly heavy. It was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind so we actually took the leftover broth with us for the 5-hour drive home (thankfully we had a cooler bag!). I immediately had to tell my son who's currently living in LA for college so he can visit one there too. This place is definitely going on our must-visit restaurant list from now on.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.
