Very good food. Excellent hot and sour soup! No fortune cookies with our delivery, though :(. Would definitely order again.

Consistently good food. Been ordering here for years, can't find any other better Chinese locally.

The second time I ordered I decided to get the larger size of boneless spare ribs at $16 only to receive about the same amount as before. Including in the second order was a lunch special but the amount of beef was paltry and stingy. They used to be such a great restaurant but now greed has taken over. You can tell that they use the same food distributor as the other Chinese restaurants in the area as their dumplings are all the same frozen ones out of a bag.

Lo mein was packed of meat, very flavorful. Crab Rangoon was very creamy with a HINT of crab. General Tso's chicken was crispy and had a nice kick of heat. Boneless ribs were flavorful and NOT full of fat. The rice was full of vegetables and flavorful. Egg rolls were crispy and not full of oil like most places. We ordered takeout, but were greeted with a friendly smile. The food wasn't saturated in oil either, felt rather "light" instead of a heavy dense greasy residue. Prices were reasonable for the food ordered and portions were HUGE in my opinion. Will definitely be back

I moved last year and I'm on a quest to rebuild my list of reliable Chinese takeout spots closer to…read moremy new home. That quest brought me to Hunan Wok III in New Britain. I visited for lunch and ordered a Lunch Combo with Hunan Beef, pork fried rice and an egg roll, and I also ordered a wonton soup. They have a couple of dine in tables and I decided to eat there. Atmosphere isn't really a selling point, but the restaurant seemed clean and functional. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was a mix of good and very good. Highlights included: (1) the egg roll with a peek crispy exterior and a flavorful filling; (2) the flavor of the mildly spicy and rich brown Hunan sauce and the texture, color and variety of the vegetables (peppers, carrots, chopped baby corn, broccoli, onion, mushrooms, etc.) in the Hunan Beef; (3) the substantial wontons and tasty meat filling of the wontons in the soup; and (4) the chopped boneless spareribs type pork in the pork fried rice. Things which were not quite as good included: (1) the soup broth could have used a bit more flavor; (2) the rice in the fried rice was yellow and I tend to prefer the flavor of the fried rice style that is tan; and (3) the beef was a bit chewy in parts, although still above average for CT Chinese takeout restaurants. 4.25 Stars. A good takeout option for sure.

The menu has a lot of options from salads, stir-fry, curry, noodles, and specialty entrees. They have a small dining room and you can order for carry-out too. There are fun and adorable boba/animal plushies, key chains and gifts for sale too. I ordered the Mango Curry with tofu and vegetables. The waitress was very kind because I had to bring up my food allergy and she took note. The curry was very good... Curry is one of my favorite dishes. The broth was spicy, coconutty, and smooth. The mango on top was perfectly ripe as sweet. There was a generous amount of veggies were cooked wonderfully, still have a nice crunch. The tofu was tasty and had a perfect golden fried coating. It was also served with a small bowl of rice. I had leftovers because I wanted to save room for an Ube Boba Tea on our way out. There was a separate menu for the boba tea--Bangkok Boba Tea--that you order at the counter when you first walk into the restaurant. This was a little confusing, but we figured it out. The boba menu had a of flavors with real pictures of what the drink looked like. My Ube drink was visually neat, dark Ube paste smeared around the cup and the pastel purple of the milk tea. The boba was some of the best I ever had, soft, chewy and lightly sweet. The drink was very sweet and glad I saved it for my dessert. Everyone I was with also enjoyed their dishes. My husband got a steak salad dish that tasted like how his mother makes it, so he was pleased. He also enjoyed a Thai Iced Tea. For four people, plus two drinks, our bill was reasonable, around $85. I can see us becoming regulars at Somewhere In Bangkok. There were a few other items that I'd like to try like the Crab Fried Rice. I can't wait to drink my way through the boba tea menu too.

Or maybe it's just a Bristol…read morething because this isn't the first time I've ordered from a restaurant in Bristol and received rotten food. Ordered delivery which took them the typical 60 minutes. Far too long to wait for delivery but it's whatever. I was prepared for it. General Tso's... was eating it and about half way through I bit into a piece that tasted just "off". Next bite... yeah this was not fresh and tasted like it had just spoiled a day ago. Who even let's that happen? Half the order was tossed in the garbage. Pork Lo Mein... The entire order was spoiled. It was the pork. Which looked odd to begin with. Very small pieces. Almost had the consistency of a pulled pork stringiness but just weird looking. I picked a few pieces out of the lo mein and tried them on their own. ROTTEN. No question about it. Whole order in the trash. Lastly was the Pork Mu Shu. Although the taste was a bit different than it usually is it did taste fresh. Half order thrown out... we weren't about to risk it. If the majority of the order was actually rotten then was the mu shu tainted as well? Unacceptable. In today's world where everything cost so much more money and will continue to get worse and worse these "dime a dollar" restaurants need to at the very least bump up their quality game. You're going to charge me more at least make sure the food is fresh and cooked properly. Never again with Taste of China.
