    Buffet style!

Good service, very fresh and wide selection of ingredients and toppings, fun and entertaining chefs all resulted in an excellent experience worth returning for!

I really do enjoy the atmosphere, the food is raw and they cook it right in front of you. However, I think the food could use a lot more seasoning which would enhance the flavor of the food.

This might be one of the best restaurants in Connecticut and the New England area. This is like a build your own stir fry / hibachi place and they're so many options! You make your plate with meats, veggies, noddles and sauce of your choosing, bring it up to the grill, and let the chefs work their magic! They also have an amazing salad bar and dessert bar - the banana pudding is a hidden gem! The staff is almost like family to us - they are incredibly friendly and kind and always have a positive attitude. We love Gobi!

Gobi Mongolian Grill has a very unique model; you grab your own food cold, all types, and they cook it on a huge black top! So yummy, and of course, always fresh! We love coming here with friends, it's a laid back environment thats great for a casual meal.

Very good service, it was set up very well, some of the food was good, a few things not great. Food area seemed clean but floors sticky. Kids loved the desert area

I have been going to this place for a very long time. Food prices are reasonable. Food is decent. There chicken, lamb, beef, sausage, meatball, shrimp and a large variety of sauces. There is also noodles and veggies. Pick anything and everything you want. Hand it over to the chef to cook it for you. Also there is some 6 flavors of icecream - coconut, vanilla, mint chocolate, coffee, strawberry and cookies and cream, and other varieties of desserts and salads. Sunday all day they will charge dinner prices. So don't go for lunch on Sundays.

We had an amazing experience. Even though we get to choose our food and stand there while it was cooked, it was definitely worth the wait. My only concern was for the food allergies that was in our party. They do an excellent job of cooking our food and we were impressed by the atmosphere. I'd certainly come back.

We didn't have reservations but were easily seated in a booth in the side dining room. Bamboo's menu is very deep and boasts Chinese, Japanese, Thai, sushi, tempura, Bento boxes and more- easily 100 options. Our group decided on a miso soup ($3.50), a Hot and Sour Soup ($3.95), an order of Chicken Tempura ($21 with an included miso soup), an order of Lemongrass Tofu ($15.50), and an order of Tuna Avocado Tartar ($14.95). I had the Hot and Sour Soup and Lemongrass Tofu. I judge H&S soup by its broth, and this was excellent. Deep flavor, none of the watery blandness I see more than once in a while. And it was hot temperature wise and fairly hot spiciness wise. It was meatless, but it packed a lot of vegetables, egg threads, tofu and more. The Lemongrass Tofu included a very generous portion of fried tofu triangles served "Hot & spicy with red & green peppers, red onion & mushrooms in a spicy lemon grass sauce" and a cup of rice. I enjoyed it a lot -the veggies were plentiful, the sauce had a mild spicy burn, and the tofu was tender and delicious. Half of the portion came home with me. I did try an onion ring from my wife's tempura dish and was struck by the lack of oiliness to it. Some tempuras are served with an oil slick in the dish and pieces that glisten like a sky full of stars. The tempura onion I had was great. It was very tender with a crunchy delicious dry batter. Service was excellent, from the moment we approached the hostess station, to being walked to our table, to water glasses and refills, to ordering, to several check-backs, to delivery of our take-out boxes, to the check presentation. Shout out to our server Alyssa, she was great. We had a wonderful experience at Bamboo.

So much better than flushing, Manhattan or Brooklyn dim sum restaurants, can't compare. What a gem! The last time i have this quality of dim sum was in Toronto over 20 years ago. I drove past it the first time, but the exterior is intriguing, with waterfalls and small ponds with koi fish out front that caught my attention on the second pass. The interior is large and classically decorated, the kind of dining room that was built to handle volume without feeling like a cafeteria. I noticed the koi fish out front have a quarter machine nearby that dispenses food, a small detail that tends to land well if you are visiting with kids. The overall setup is comfortable and well maintained, and the space gave the restaurant a presence that most Chinese restaurants in the area do not match. The dim sum is the main draw, and it is served until 3pm, so timing my visit accordingly was important. I ordered the har gow and shumai, both well executed and holding up against what I have found at comparable restaurants in Boston or New York. The chili oil is good and worth using liberally. The shrimp wonton noodle soup was a standout and worth ordering on its own. For those coming outside dim sum hours, the full menu covers a solid range of Cantonese dishes. I also tried the fried rice, salt and pepper squid, and chow fun, all of which performed well. The portions throughout were generous enough that ordering with a group and sharing made the most sense. On quieter days, the food quality is noticeably more consistent, which I experienced during my visit. For good dim sum in Connecticut and a Cantonese dining room that takes the food seriously, Oriental Bar and Grill is worth the effort of finding.

This was a well prepared lunch crew. The order was put in for two egg rolls, as an appetizer My neighbor ordered the lemon chicken, which included hot and sour soup I ordered the garlic chicken, along with wonton soup The soups arrived almost immediately, and shortly thereafter came the two spring rolls. The wonton soup was perfect. Two delicate wontons, stuffed with pork, in a chicken broth that was not salty whatsoever. My neighbor said the hot and sour soup was some of the best she ever had The spring rolls were on point, slightly crispy, amazing flavor, and a perfect choice to start to the lunch experience The dinners arrived, and I saw that the beef and garlic sauce also included water chestnuts, broccoli, and a delicious brown sauce that was not too overpowering. The beef and garlic was a perfect combination with these vegetables and the gravy over rice. The rice was just perfectly sticky and delicious. Explosions of different flavors hit this dish perfectly. This was one of the best Chinese dishes I've had in a long time. Tasting the lemon chicken, the chicken was pounded extremely thin, deep-fried and served with lemon slices over the top. It was very nice. The restrooms were spotless. The enjoyment experience was off the charts as far as the ambience, food presentations, the various tastes of the food, along with the prices The vibe was perfect. For Connecticut, this has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in the state. In simple terms, the experience was perfect. Thank you Great Taste. You show Connecticut how restaurants (and small businesses) should be run.
