I told my stylist that the back of my hair was too short, and the hair around the temples was too heavy. I wanted those two things fixed and a bang trim. When I left, the back was too short, the hair around the temples was too heavy, and the bangs were too long. I was supposed to get a full head of highlights. What I got was my hair over processed and damaged going half way down instead of the full length. My goal was to go back to my natural honey blonde and left with near platinum. Definitely not worth the amount of money they charge. Terrible experience every single time. My sister went to Toni & Guy to get her hair fully highlighted & the hairdresser burned the back of her head with the bleach, & then when brought to the managers attention my sister was told it was her fault for having box dye underneath the bleach, which caused the reaction. None of that was ever mentioned before hand & the stylist still continued to bleach her hair. My personal experience with Toni & guy was that I booked an appointment with one stylist, then when I got there, I was booked with another stylist who completely ruined my hair with choppy unblended layers. I am a minor so I was not sure how to deal with the situation & decided to trust this stylist. After my appointment I was very upset with my hair & booked another appointment & brought the situation to the company, providing the confirmation code with the stylist I wanted as well. But when I showed up to my rebooked appointment, I got the times wrong & now am faced with a late fee. Called manager who apparently didn't know the owner or anytime the owner would be available, & also told my mom that "I'm sorry your 16 year old couldn't speak up" & "you still have to pay because you messed up the times". I wouldn't have even had to pay or book to get my hair redone if it weren't for Toni & guy giving me a hair stylist I didn't trust. read more

very unprofessional, I asked for white blonde hair, my hair was lighter than this when i came in, she made me orange and did not let bleach sit long enough because she wanted me to come back and pay for another session. (what i am realizing now is that she just did not want to complete my hair because she wanted me to come back and pay again ) when the bleach could of been left in for the correct result i left with orange hair (worse than the hair i came in with) she let the bleach sit in my roots for 20 minutes and only left the bleach on the rest of my hair for 10, resulting in 2 different colors. my roots were the color i wanted and the rest of my hair was orange. Even while she was doing my hair i noticed my hair was 2 completely different colors, i mentioned how i didn't like it. she didn't care and wanted to do it her way. she then blamed my body heat for making the color difference. then i was crying it was so bad she said i could come in for her to fix it. she told me to go to her other location 45 minutes away from me, so I spent time and money ubering to her second salon on the same day. I went and as soon as she left the bleach in it was the light color close to what i wanted and at least my hair was the same color. yet tried to make me pay 100 after i already paid for the service. I did not feel as if i should pay again as if she just messed up my hair and left it 2 different colors the first time. i offered her half of the 100 she wanted. and she told me i wasnt allowed back because i was unhappy with the first time she did my hair. i will not be coming back to this salon very unprofessional. From the first phone call to confirm my appointment to the final payment and walking out the door, the staff was not friendly at all. The woman doing my hair was nice enough but I told her this was the first time I was ever going darker in my entire life and I was nervous. She offered no comfort or support. Then she had another client to take care of while I was finishing up. Didn't have time to blow dry my hair for me and passed me on to her friend who got it 60% dry and told me I was done. Then charged me almost $200 for hair that was still wet. The color turned out just okay.. I wanted to walk out of the salon feeling good about myself and confident in my decision, but I just felt crappy. read more

I was so torn when I received the hair service I did because I had been a client of Toni & Guy for a year or so. Always for cuts, never for color... but I never thought I'd leave the way I did. I wasn't a fan of the color from the getco but I was trying to be understanding. The thing that really upset me is that the hairstylist didn't say anything about the way it looked from behind, nor did the person helping her dry my hair. This was my 2nd Tony & Guy shop in a day as the first one only put me with a stylist who could cut, and not a colorist. Already disappointed they didn't explain that to my bf when he booked me a surprise Appt for Valentines. When he found out, he got me into this one so I could also get it colored. I wanted a brunette balayage. I was specific in saying I didn't want blonde or highlights. Guess what I walked out with?! Blonder hair than when I went in, and blond coming out of my roots! I said I didn't want that because of growth and having to get it touched up more often. We decided color would start closer to my eyebrow/ear mine. I don't like it at all. When I asked her about it, she said it would fade, which it won't fade from blonde to brunette anytime soon or like that at all. I asked her about my roots, and she said it'll grow out, which yea but go through that awkward, look like I need to get it done stage. Not happy at all. The look is completely wrong and everything I said I didn't want. Will not be returning since they don't listen at all. I had an appointment that had been scheduled for 4 weeks at the Clearfork location. It was confirmed by phone 2 days prior. When I arrived this afternoon; it had been cancelled. No note or reason given in the booking. They are now requiring a credit card to even schedule an appointment. I am an established client with no missed appointments. Went to get my curly/short hair cut after reading good reviews (clearly not on Yelp) about Michelle. Cutting to the chase (haha), they were laughing at me when I left because it looked so bad. She kept asking me if I wanted her to cut more here or there. I kept telling her that it looked bad, but I'm not the expert. When she asked me to style it the way that I would do it, I asked her to style it the way she envisioned it. If I'm paying someone a bunch of money to do my hair, I sort of expect them to know what to do -- I honestly don't want to have to tell them, I mean I'm not a hair engineer. So unless you just need 1/2 inch taken off the bottom of your long, straight hair, this is probably not the place for you! read more

My first experience with this salon was Terrible with a capital T. Not much worse than a colorist who doesn't listen nor pay attention to the pictures you brought. That being said, when management was aware of the problem, they took care of everything to the NINES! Ended up going back in and received a Fabulous Color and cut. Very HAPPY. read more

Save your scalp the torture!! I went for a blowout today which is typically relaxing in like a treat. I thought it was clear when I booked that I would like to have curls added apparently not so I asked the salon stylist if we could put volume at the top and curls at the bottom she said she could do it with a round brush. I have no problem paying extra for what I want. She was incredibly rough and had to apologize more than once for just trying to pull through tangles when round brushing my hair pulling my hair away from my scalp. and at the end she said oh I wasn't able to achieve volume your hair's too long and there was no round brush girl at the end or anything it is bone straight with plenty of volume at the bottom. I got the pleasure of paying $45 for scalp pain just to go home and add what I want to my hair. I also loved how the stylish tried to just the smoke up my skirt saying how it was so shiny and smooth forgetting the fact that it was nothing that I asked for. Very poor customer service for the price they charge. I've been treated much better and with more courtesy at other places. Very poor job, specially at the front desk. Their no- show policy is ridiculous (they wanted to mark my appointment as a no-show and charge 100% of the price for showing a couple of minutes after the 10 minute grace period! Even though I'm a regular customer, always left a good tip, and called them on my way there to tell them I was a bit late). Trust me, they are all about your money, not your haircut. I have had my hair colored and cut at Toni & Guy Clearfork multiple times and today was my absolute straw. I am still working to grow out my hair from the last disaster. The colorist today was nothing short of TERRIBLE. FORTY mins behind, rushing, got the dark dye meant for my roots on my the highlights of my hair. Her response when I pointed it out? Sorry, I was rushing and accidentally dropped some. I have a wedding on Saturday and now have to pay again for somewhere else to fix it. I will never go back as long as I live. I am patient and kind to a fault, but between the multiple hair color tragedies and my horrific haircut last time, I will never go back.
