We stayed the weekend at Lake Arrowhead and was walking around the village. We stumbled upon this Tiki bar and decided to check it out. Food: 5/5 We came here manly for their drinks, but also decided to get their poke nachos. The tuna poke was top tier. The fish was fresh and paired beautifully with their sauces and guacamole. Since it was close to my birthday, the gave me a free pineapple dole whip as well. It tasted just like Disney's pineapple dole whip! Drinks: 4/5 We got the scorpion bowl between five people. The bowl was not very big, but the alcohol was definitely strong like most rum drinks. Next time I'm back I would probably get their other drinks instead of the fish bowl. Service: 5/5 The servers were super sweet and friendly. They were pretty busy, but very transparent and apologetic about it. The food and drink came out really quick. And despite the business, we got seated pretty quick as well. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is a cute tropical escape from the naturey and wilderness of Lake Arrowhead. Stop by here! No, seriously, stop by here. We were in Lake Arrowhead for a few days and we didn't expect to find a tiki bar here, but here we were. The tiki bar was a nice size and was very well themed. There were plenty of drink and food options. Since we were going to dinner right after, we only had an appetizer, which were the cream cheese rangoons. They were on the small side, but absolutely delicious which could be dangerous. My drink? So good. I went with the fun one, Come on Baby Light my Fire, which included dole whip! I felt like I was drinking a tasty boozy dole whip float, and the drink was quite large. Service was great and our bartender/server was entertaining and friendly. We will definitely be back again if we are in the area, and to perhaps try some more food options. read more

Great spot and excellent service! I got a poke bowl ($23) that was very good. Big portion and hit the spot. It became even better with a side of spicy mayo that added a hint of spice and creaminess that balances it out. My BF got the pastrami sandwich with an apple slaw spread ($19) with macaroni salad and that was delicious as well. What a great find! Came to check this establishment out after hearing that they offered a flaming dole whip drink. Left so happy, full, and can't wait to go back! The staff working here are so friendly and attentive! The tiki decor is so fun and the surrounding somehow provided this welcoming sense of warmth; much appreciated since it was freezing outside. The food is delicious! We got the Tiki Tonkatsu Ramen and Coconut Crusted Shrimp. Loved them both so much! The broth was especially perfect for the weather! I came here on a couple days where they had happy hour and it was really fun. The bartenders were really nice. I think their names were christian and Sam. The ambience is very tropical. The first time I went, they were playing Pirates of the Caribbean the second time Gilligans Island. The food was spectacular. Definitely can't beat nine dollar chicken. I was visiting for the weekend and I was excited by this new restaurant in the square. The food was very lackluster. Service was slow. Drinks were weak. Got the original Mai Tai and it was just ok. We got the Ahi Tartare- this was a weird combo of flavors which just didn't work in my opinion. We got the wings too which was just ok. My husband got the Hulu Huli chicken plate. This was also okay. We had a fantastic lunch at Tiki Republic. It was the perfect spot for a family-friendly meal. The service was excellent and the place is well-themed. It's a great tiki bar and restaurant. Kids had the miso ramen with tofu, and it was delicious. We had the Maui Moon rangoons and pork bowl and both were wonderful. As for drinks, we were all impressed. The "C'mon Baby, Light My Fire" cocktail was a standout and so tasty. We also tried a zombie and a mai tai, both of which were well crafted. Kids loved the Painless mocktails and pineapple dole whip ice cream. We visit a lot of tiki places, and Tiki Republic was fantastic. Friendly bartender Sam who took good care of us. We were a party of 2 on a Sunday. Didn't seem that busy, but they share a kitchen with the restaurant next door. Food came out a bit slow. We ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and a burger. Portion size was generous. Burger was juicy. The tacos were also delicious. Cocktails, Sam makes a really good Singapore Sling! Great place to stop by and have a drink. Ambiance is unique with a huge gorilla and faux plants on the walls and ceilings. Definitely a fun place to dine enjoy the ambience. read more

Had drinks and an app here while visiting Lake Arrowhead and loved it! We sat at the bar and it was fun to watch the episodes of Gilligan's Island they have playing. We had brunch at Sunrise at Sunset which connects to this really cute and fun tiki bar "Tiki Republic" Met up with Sam our bartender who not only fun to talk to you, but super intelligent and easy-going. First and foremost had the best movie playing on a Sunday afternoon. "Forrest Gump" Enjoyed some ice cold rosé and some delicious cream cheese filled wontons, but they weren't your typical wontons. This place has a cool ambiance and the kids loved the giant gorilla but I don't think the food deserves 4 stars. Had the ramen which was recommended by the server and it was very bland and the noodles literally tasted like they came out of a 30 cent bag of ramen. Then the server charged us a crazy gratuity intended for a large party and there was only three of us. When I discovered it she said she accidentally put it was a group of 600 and apologized. Not sure how that happens. If it was accidental then no biggie but you have to wonder when the bill was $93 for one adult and two kids. The only reason I even noticed was the tag said original bill was $76 which caught my attention when the total was $93. I still gave a decent tip because other than that the service was good and the staff was friendly. With some improvement in the food it would be a great little restaurant. read more

Had a nice lunch experience here. Huli Huli chicken was wonderful, slightly sweet and tender, with really nice rice and a zingy mango salsa. Kalua pork bowl was excellent too, with a surprisingly smoky flavor on the pork; not sure how authentic that is but it was delicious. The spicy edamame (we got sauce on the side) was great too, sweet spicy sauce was somewhere between teriyaki and chili crisp and very addictive. Portions were not gigantic so we were left a little hungry. All was enjoyed by the young and old in our part. My Mai Tai was spot on (dark rum float was nice too). Service was very friendly but a little slow; took 40 minutes to get our food and the place wasn't packed (I think they share with the restaurant next door). Indoor tiki atmosphere created a fun vibe, not noisy, with tropical background music and old Gilligans Island episodes playing on the TV behind the bar. They do have outdoor patio seating by the lake but that area wasn't open at the time. Plus it was a misty and cold afternoon. read more

Discovered this place during a visit to Lake Arrowhead this week and was so excited! We love checking out tiki bars everywhere we go, and this little gem didn't disappoint. Staff were absolutely great, and the drinks were the bomb! I had the original Mai Tai and my husband had one of their creations, the Spice Runner. Both were great!!! We didn't get to try the food, but maybe next time we're in town. They had karaoke going on Thursday night when we were there. Super fun vibe, great drinks and good people. Maybe because me and my party came a bit late in the day, but the service was mediocre. I asked for waters all around my table of 7, and we only received 3 waters total. They were served cold with ice, which was nice, which made me expect our server to return with the other 5 waters shortly, but they never came. The food came out shortly, but the Poké (chips and bowls) were very salty. Personally, they didn't suit my tastes, but the spicy mayo and causes balances it out. The Poké bowl was alright, but lacked flavor. There was no sauce with it, and if there was, there wasn't much. The Tonkatsu Ramen did not disappoint, especially because of the cold weather. Overall, I had mixed feelings about this restaurant. It was decked out in Hawaiian traditional decor, which I enjoyed, but lacked the genuine Hawaiian touch. read more
