I brought to Talcot Transmissions in West Hartford and they charged me $145 to "diagnose" it. They claimed the transmission needed to be removed and completely rebuilt for and additional cost of $5600. I had doubts whether all the work was needed so I brought the truck to AAMCO of East Hartford. At AAMCO Steph did a free check and diagnosed a problem with the solenoid pack. The problem was repaired with new parts and works great (for $1525 including tax). Thanks to AAMCO and no thanks to Talcot Transmissions.

Since I've known Frank, he's repaired everything from small leaks to replacing my clutch on the Stealth; and on the Envoy, Frank has skillfully rebuilt my transmission plus replaced a water pump and various other things. It's never great having to spend a chunk of change repairing your vehicle, but when ever I have had to make repairs, I always knew the work would be reliable and Frank would take care of me. I asked him to do everything on the car while I was there to make sure it was safe for my college aged son to drive and it all totaled $414. I saved a few thousand by coming here. I noted that every guy that came in was a 50-70 year old local who had obviously been taking their cars there for years. This is now my go-to auto place. Kevin could have told me anything was wrong with my car and I'd have no clue but he obviously runs a honest and extremely fair priced.

Spoke with Ryan and had the car towed up to him. Really knowledgable and friendly guy. He did a full inspection of the car and had it back up in running within a few days. Ended up replacing one of the heads, doing the gaskets, timing belt, and sorted sorted out a fuel leak and electrical issue I had for an incredibly reasonable price. Car runs great now. The shop is almost an hour from my house but it will be my go to shop from now on. Great people, great work, great price. Would give more stars if I could.

Since they were "closed temp" I decided to come here. BEST CHOICE EVER!!! Scott has fixed the problem with my AC, that Manchester made. Had to flush my whole AC system and install a new one. They were courteous, respectful, very quick and thorough. They repaired my Subaru, worked with the insurance company ( the value of the quote) and made it look as if nothing had happened to it. They even detailed inside of my car and replaced the cover on the driver side seat that I told them that would pay out of pocket for because it was not part of the accident but they fixed it anyways with no charge.
