My husband had seafood enchiladas and I had cheese Enchiladas
    Melissa W.

My cheese enchiladas were so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. The restaurant had 4 other people inside and we never saw our waitress. We waited 20 minutes for chip refills and my husband water wasn't refilled until his meal was just about finished. We will NOT be returning and we don't recommend this place.

Review: La Langosta - Three Rivers Rating: 2/5 stars I visited La Langosta around 6:00 PM, and while several tables were already occupied, there was only one server covering the entire floor. This led to a service experience that felt lackluster and stretched thin, which is a tough spot for any single staff member to be in during the dinner rush. The Appetizers As is standard, we were started with chips and salsa. They serve two varieties, and the pico de gallo was easily the highlight of the pair. Unfortunately, the green salsa was disappointing and lacked any real depth or flavor. The Food The menu offers a wide variety of choices. We opted for two dinner combos: * Plate 1: Chile relleno, carne asada taco, and a cheese enchilada. * Plate 2: Chile relleno and a carne asada taco. Both were served with white rice, beans topped with cotija cheese, and a small side salad. The salad was dressed with a very watery Thousand Island dressing that didn't add much to the meal. While the beans and rice were standard, the main items were just "okay"--nothing particularly stood out. The biggest disappointment was that one of the plates arrived cold, which gave the impression that the components might have been reheated in a microwave rather than prepared fresh to order. The Atmosphere & Authenticity Overall, the flavors felt safe and somewhat muted. It seems the kitchen is catering more to the local Three Rivers tourist demographic rather than staying true to authentic roots. If you are looking for bold, traditional Mexican cuisine, this might fall short of expectations. I left feeling like I was still on the hunt for a truly standout meal in town.

    Chilaquiles Divorciados

Dropped in during our stay at AutoCamp. Plenty of parking available. Upon arrival, we were quickly greeted and seated by the host, Beatriz. If you like Chilaquiles, but can't decide on green or red, you can order "Chilaquiles Divorciados." Also, a great way to decide which you'd like to order again (for locals). I ended up enjoying the red chilaquiles the most; sauce had a good authentic flavor. I also recommend asking for their chip salsa to dress your eggs. Overall, an all around great food experience and service; Beatriz was a sweetheart.

The old Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant is now La Longosta. Sadly the smoker is gone. But the new ownership is continuing the tradition of large portions and friendly service. It's hard to beat any breakfast dish for $9.99.

Came up here for a weekend trip. Wanted some grub. The carne asada was actually good. A little on the greasy end. The burrito of asada 7/10. Shrimp Fajitas 6/10. Combo #3 7/10. The shrimp with bacon was good. Salsa was mild. Quesadilla 7/10. The girls at the front desk weee very nice. Phone order was done on time. Restaurant was spacious and clean.

This place is amazing! The service is great and above all, the food is truly authentic Mexican food. All the flavors are there and the portions are pretty big. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

There was a lot going on in town, which was shocking but we also came out of the park earlier than we normally do, but amazing enough Casa Mendoza wasn't very busy and we got seated immediately, and we just had the best server that we've ever had there, she was so polite and friendly and crazy efficient with our orders and getting them back to us asap. I didn't wanna fill up on beans and rice so I just went with an à la carte of three crispy tacos, and a tamale. I told her to put them all on one plate when they came out looking like the best à la carte plate I've ever seen; almost as if it was a menu item unto itself. Everything just had so much flavor, and the tamale is definitely in the top two of best tamales I've ever had. We will continue to come here after our Sequoia adventures for hopefully many more years to come

Eventually we had to be asked to be moved in and thankfully we were. Funny part is that shortly after us, about 7-8 other tables from outside also moved in because of the bugs hahaha. Not a bad enough experience to hate the place IMO but should be taken better care of. Maybe a net around the dinning area could solve the issue idk

Maybe because I had my beautiful daughters with me and they took all the great attention. It was 2 weeks after my oldest daughter birthday but somehow our male waiter said I heard it was somebody's birthday and I said yes. My daughter's birthday was not long ago. So they treat her with a belated birthday celebration. It was so nice from him. So, when we got there we ordered our drinks and right after we got the drinks we ordered our food. My grandbaby ordered the chicken tenders with fries from the kids menu. My youngest love their burger. My oldest got the filet Mignon with mushrooms and fresh salad. I got my usual the veggie sandwich with fries. The waiter brought us everything but the filet Mignon. It was taking a while to be cooked. So he gravely left offered my daughter complimentary soup to mitigate the wait. And she got it. So when we finished eating the food he arrived with a huge plate with chocolate cake and ice cream and a big birthday torch. It look so nice and delicious. My grand baby ate all his chicken and left some fries. He said he loved the chicken and they were satisfying. My youngest daughter like I mention before. She loves their burger. So she was satisfied too. I so loved the veggie sandwich on a wheat bread. I just love all the fresh veggies they put in there. It had mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. With some mayo. Also the fries were very crispy. I really love it. My oldest mention she loved the soup and the salad. She kind of ate a little bit of the filet Mignon and mushrooms. She took the left over home. She mention the meat was so juicy and well seasoned. It was so tender and tasty. The dessert they brought us for free and the soup. So my youngest, my grand baby and the three of them ate the dessert after we sang happy birthday. I thought it was a very nice gesture of him to do that for my daughter. Highly recommended. You have the very nice view while you eat too. You have to reserve to be able to be outside. Thank you for the great experience.

I asked for a well-done burger and after a very long wait they brought an uncooked burger. The waiter first refused to take responsibility for their mess up so I had to asked for the manager. The manager was impolite and finally with a grumpy and weird attitude took the item off the check. Won't go to this place until they change management.

You could tell they were made fresh, and whomever is the cook, knows how to season well. Service was on point and super attentive. They checked on me at least 4 times to make sure everything was good, which honestly made the whole experience even better. It's rare to see that kind of consistency in small local spots. The only thing I felt was missing was a more savory salsa to match those tacos. The one they gave me seemed like a salsa de chile de árbol -- spicy with good flavor, but I wished I had an extra salsa option that leaned more on the smoky or tangy side to balance out the richness of the gobernador. The place was quiet, comfortable, and relaxed -- no loud music or chaos, just a good spot to sit back and enjoy your food. Definitely worth a visit again. Next time, I might ask if they have any different salsas to try with those tacos.

Some of the best reviews were many years ago. I ordered the chile verde burrito, wet, and my girlfriend ordered the fish taco Friday special. Chile verde has different sized pork chunks in a delicious green sauce but the meat was inconsistent in size with most pieces being rock hard, or fat/gristle. No pieces were tender. Chile verde should be tender. I can make better Chile verde in an Instant Pot with pork shoulder and a jar of Herdez green salsa. I trim my meat well though. No surprises. The fish tacos were attractive. They resembled fish sticks though. They had a bread crumb coating, were cooked earlier, and reheated before putting in the taco shell. Not beer batter fried aka Baja style. The taco shells were soft yellow corn tortillas with the texture of flour tortillas. These tortillas were really good! Avocado and fresh cilantro was a nice touch. No special fish taco sauce was used, but might improve the fish sticks. Rice was a solid hit for both of us. We make it like this at home with shrimp/tomato bouillon. The beans were ok. I ended up "returning" the inedible chile verde and they dutifully replaced it with a different burrito. The service was 5/5. The place itself is clean and neat and spacious. No complaints there.

They have introduced additional entertainment options for children and expanded the menu with TV screens displaying the menu and a more contemporary design. (Negatives) The cashier station is frequently unattended, and even when it is staffed, customers often experience poor service due to the lack of respect and attention provided by the cashier. If customers request condiments such as ketchup, they must approach the front, which is barebones and lacks essential amenities. The atmosphere remains unchanged, and if customers make an error in their orders, they are refused service and instructed to repeat the order, which incurs additional charges. Furthermore, there is a noticeable lack of cleanliness, evidenced by sticky floors and a dead fly on one of the tables. The sodas taste watered down, and attempting to request a refill is met with a disapproving look from the staff. Conclusion: Super Taco retains its reputation as a popular establishment, but the quality of food is not the only factor that contributes to the overall experience. The lack of respect and the sense of uncleanliness are significant concerns that should be addressed to provide a more satisfactory dining experience.
