This is a true Chicago Beef Restaurant!!! We discovered it trying to find a decent beef sandwich from home. Tony is from Chicago and he has his Italian Beef Sandwiches on lockdown. Get a side of fries with gravy (beef juice) for dipping the fries in. There is limited seating inside but it's just like a south side deli, so I give it five stars because for me it's the ambiance I've come to expect and an Italian Beef Shop. Tony and his son make the sandwiches fresh while you wait (counter service) and they are quick so if you need to do the dine and dash they are quick with that. This was the first time we came here and it won't be our last. This place was so good! We found it by just doing a yelp search for places to get a good burger. The burgers weren't good. They were GREAT and the BEST burger we've had in a long time! When we first walked in, we didn't see anyone. Then an employee named Giuseppe stood up from where he was cleaning behind the counter. The burgers were hand made patties and Giuseppe got our order going right away. He was very friendly and it was nice just chatting with him about places and things that he's experienced. We could not believe how great the food tasted. I ended up ordering another cheeseburger because it tasted so good and I was starving. So if you're in the Sarasota area near Siesta Key, you've got to look this place up as it's not on the main road. Where do i start? Both my wife and I were raised in Chicago and miss their food. Not any more. Beef sandwiches, Chicago style dogs, brats. Italian sausage, combos, are the real deal. They even have Maxwell Street kielbasas and pork chop sandwiches. BTW, their burgers are the best I've had in Sarasota and less than ten dollars. My wife and I make a weekly visit.
