I always love going to Tony Coneys for the coneys but the wait already makes it not worth it. I think this last time, it took almost 30 minutes for some coneys and fries. The food is always delicious. This location seems to be a little smaller than the broad st location but does still have a drive thru. Overall, If you don't mind an excessive wait, try the coneys. They are unique and definitely an Ohio staple. read more

The food there is great would definitely Lu recommend if you like cheeseburgers and fries. Also while your there you cannot forget about the ice cream the car cream is the best thing there along with there shakes. The service is good could be a little bit faster but it's fine. The setting is just like the service it's good you can even sit outside if it's what you enjoy go inside and you can watch them prepare other people's food or go inside to where there will be a tv that has spectrum news on it. Waited 25 minutes, second people in line in store and have yet to be spoken to, let alone the order taken. 4 people working with 2 standing around and it takes over 30 minutes to get an order for ice cream taken. Will not return 0/10. I have no idea how they were even safe to serve ice cream, it was extremely hot inside the building. read more

They treat you like family here!! Staff is so friendly and happy to make recommendations. Everything here is done SO well and extremely affordable! We tried the app sampler, coneys, and soft serve with crunch coat. If I lived closer, I'd come here weekly. Fantastic stop all around! read more

Love this place! I have came to Tony Coneys since before it was Tony Coneys and it was Hills Dairy in the 90's. This place is always consistent. You can feed a family of 3 an entire meal plus dessert for under 30 bucks! Their burgers are humongous! Small dinning area and helpful servers. Always pleasant and never disappointed. read more

Love this place for a good milkshake. Actually, good everything. Fried mushrooms, cheeseburgers are DELICIOUS and not from a frozen preformed patty. Pumpkin pie milkshake, chocolate covered strawberry milkshake. Great place, often busy but welll worth the wait. read more

My dog has a serious addiction to Toney's Coneys. She loves going there and loves the attention the staff gives here when we use the drive through. The place is always crowded in the warmer days and the wait can be a few so you have to be patient because the food is very tasty. Nothing fancy here to see or look at as this is your old school, side of the USHighway style of Mom and Pop places that were so popular from the mid-century to now. It is a gem in the middle of nowhere and that is why we all drive there. Entire little league teams can be seen enjoying after game fare there so that is another reason to be prepared to wait. Ohio is a good place to find little local ice cream shops, and when I find one I just have to stop. Tony's Coney's was no exception. I especially love the name, it begs for a fun atmosphere. It was a Sunday, and Google said they were closed so I about went on by but when I saw they were open I stopped (don't trust the Google hours they are wrong). Tony's is open year round and has seating indoors. They offer food options, soft serve, and hand dipped ice cream. I got the turtle sundae, it was a little over $3 something, and totally worth it. They put it in a cup, they don't skimp out on the ice cream or toppings. I almost couldn't eat it all...almost. I can never turn down deliciousness. I like that they are open year round, have a great name, and are easy to get to if you are in the area. read more

Second time to Tony's; first time was very good but this time was very poor. The young staff needs to learn better customer service. Food was not that great...coneys were very poor very bland. There were 3/4" on either side of the bun were the hot dog sat. Very little coney sauce / ton of cheese. Only thing that was good was the ice cream. Sat inside - tables were not cleaned. Ton of bugs both inside and out - bug catcher was not working. Going to avoid Tony's for awhile! read more

Love this place. They have really good coneys, lots of ice cream choices,are really good for families with young kids. And the staff is mostly teenagers with good attitudes. It's refreshing to see. The location is awesome! It's in the middle of the country. It's like going back in time to when I was a kid in the 80s. They have a few picnic tables out front that offer a really nice view of the countryside while you're enjoying your food. I recommend this place to anybody driving through the area. read more

We stopped on a Sunday afternoon where we waited in a longer line than normal. While waiting, we went to look at the hand-dipped offerings. We were then skipped over several times before we asserted ourselves up to the counter. Multiple employees made eye contact with us but didn't acknowledge us until I saw an employee dip her finger in a syrup and lick it while making a customer's order. At which point she acknowledged her action to me and didn't want me to be upset about it. We waited for about 5 minutes while two more people behind us had their orders were taken before we left. We will not be back here. We love the Broad St. location, but the Orient location leaves a lot to be desired. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting, the door was shattered and went unfixed for weeks, there are roaches, rats, and bugs literally flies on people food during the hot seasons, the staff is unfriendly and rude. The food takes ridiculously long and I've heard the workers who drop food just pick it back up and serve it. Don't risk this place. read more

I have eaten at the Tony's Coneys in New Rome, OH at least 100 times over the years. I remember when it was just a little shack-y looking place right next to the little independent grocery store. They had little snippets of religious sayings on the windows. Loved that place then - love it now. So I was thrilled to find out there was a Tony's Coneys close to where I now live, on Rt. 62! Ahhh, yes, those coneys were just as I remembered. I was really shocked to see the dessert (ice cream) prices, though! Crazy-high. Having lived in the area for a while I occasionally stopped to eat here. Very basic food. Their menu basically consists of Sysco frozen food items that they deep fry. Sometimes they taste freezer burnt. Burgers are really good, but I stopped getting coney dogs after my wife and I were served grayish green colored hot dogs. Everyone who works there is a teenager though, so errors are to be expected. Not high on my list of places to go, but prices are inexplicably low and the employees are always pleasant. read more

I went to Tonys Coneys very recently to try something my father recommended to me many times before, their burgers. They were amazing!! The burgers were delicious, beautifully seasoned and great flavor all around. Now the reason why I'm only giving this place a 4 is because of the wait.... Me and my family had to wait over 25+ minutes for our food in a restaurant that gets most of its business from a drive thru. Really gives off the fast food vibes but doesn't deliver :( , besides that everything else was perfectly fine, just wish I could've gotten my and my parents food faster! read more

I cannot believe the lack of courtesy and general unpleasantness of the staff member we dealt with just an hour ago.She is a 30-40yr old woman, blonde with dark thick rim glasses and on the heavy side. When my boyfriend was ordering and asked for a caramel turtle sundae in a waffle cone. She responded with "HUH?!". He repeated his order and she told him that it wasn't an ice cream flavor it was an actual sundae. Ok, no big deal. So he said "oh ok, just a scoop of Washington cherry in a waffle cone then". She says "do you want nuts etc on it?!" And he said "No just Washington cherry." She says "Oh." This woman was certainly not blessed with a warm personality, to say the least. Everything she said from that point on was very short and had an annoyed inflection. It was as if she was bothered by us being there bc she actually had to do her job. I have no idea how she works in a service field of any kind. The ice cream if good, but I really hope we don't have to experience this woman again. read more

First time we ate here at the recommendation of a neighbor. There are a few tables to eat inside. A few picnic tables are outside. They are open year round. There were more than just coneys to choose from. They had double cheeseburgers, shredded chicken, fried bologna, bbq pork & beef and more. There are also sides such as your normals french fries and onion rings in addition to fried pickles, mushrooms, jalapeno poppers and more. Fountain drinks. sweet and unsweet tea along with shakes. Yes save room for dessert. There is hard and soft serve ice cream. You can get strawberry shortcake, a turtle sundae and a banana split. Everyone was friendly, the food tasted wonderful, looked clean inside and out and it did not break the bank. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I receive a cheeseburger instead of a hamburger. I think that was just a little slip because it was a young teenager that took our order. Definitely want to return to try the other sandwiches and different flavors of ice cream! read more

I used to enjoy my trips to this place, but after today i will refuse to go back and give them any of my business and will suggest otherwise to anyone i know. we ordered $30 worth of food,second trip this week, and when we got home there was an order of onion rings missing, So we call them and tell them were on our way back up expecting some kind of discount or something considering we live ten minutes away and now the food at home is cold. She looks at me and says we cant do that...i said what do you mean,we had to drive all the way back up here and you cant even give a complimentary shake? The blonde was very rude and said no we cant help that. So i got up to the window and asked for the managers name and number and that took forever, then proceeded to be rude herself and go okay... and ask why, i told her it was from their customer service, having my job be i management i can say this was by far the worst customer service i have received from this place. We have gone here for years and never had this kind of problem, so i can honestly say the people working tonight are going to drive business away an give a bad name to this location.
