I used to eat here all the time, especially during COVID, but hadn't been in a while. It used to be my kids favorite pizza. Now I remembered why we stopped coming here. They are super skimpy on the cheese, several slices had big blank spots of bread and sauce. How is it a 4 cheese pizza and I even add pepperoni to half of it but there are several slices with areas missing cheese and toppings. They've gone down in quality to the point where my kid preferred little Caesar's. It's sad because they're so conveniently located but I guess I'll be saving money going with "Pizza Pizza" instead of skimpy man Dan's. Quality seems to be going down here. We have been loyal customers for years, but I will be ordering from toppers from now on. Orders have been wrong and unimpressive. The amount of meat in sandwiches is diminishing with time. Last time, they forgot 1/2 my sandwich. This order we ordered extra cheese, and got almost none. It was so skimpy, it seemed burnt, even though we ordered extra. Just charge a couple bucks more to do it right, no one wants bad food... Sorry Dan, goodbye. read more

Have tried their Oxnard and Hueneme location before and thought it was pretty good. Moved to Camarillo recently so decided to get some here. Ordered take out but customer service was great. Man in the front was very nice and made sure everything was in my order. Calzones were a bit soggy. Flavor was there though. I guess needs to be more toasted. Sandwich was good. Salads were great with the ranch. Definitely will come back as the food was good. Just hope they bake the calzones more. read more

When they delivered the pizza a month ago, the pizza was cold and we experienced that the pizza was undercooked. Never go back again.

I was there recently . It's been super hot ; heat wave happens to be this weekend . The manager told me there was been no AC for 2 months YET the bathrooms still have AC. My thought is for the kitchen: these people are working in 100 plus degree temps with no air . That isn't right as an owner / manager to keep employees with no AC. It doesn't take two months to fix ac that somehow mysteriously works in the bathroom. As 999 is opening up. The customers were complaining as well but can you imagine being in the kitchen? read more

I ordered a few items through their website the night before a small party we were hosting for my daughter's bday...cheese pizzas, pepperoni pizzas, breadsticks and jalapeño poppers. Our party started at 11am, so I scheduled a pick time of 11am the next day ( Saturday; they open at 11am)..sure enough 11am on the dot the doors were open and the person at the counter welcomed me. My order was ready to go and since I paid (for my order) via their portal...I was literally in the store 30 secs. The person who helped me was fast and otherwise friendly. Overall everyone loved everything we ordered...very good quality pizza, etc according to our guests. The "garlic cheesy bread" was a hit and regret I didn't order more! I wouldn't hesitate to dine in or place an order online or recommend them over the other Pizza restaurants in town. If there is something that raises an eyebrow with me, it's their online ordering portal...I found it at times a little confusing...I'm perhaps not the most savvy at online ordering because my preference is to visit the restaurant but still post Covid I imagine that every restaurants online ordering capability would be super easy. read more

Everything about this place a good except the salad bar and their pan crust pizza. The pan crust tends to be raw in the middle.

We decided to try Pizzaman Dans instead of Toppers to save a little money. Not only did the order come out barely cheaper, but the pizza in pretty bad. I now know what people mean when they say "cardboard crust." We also got the wings since it was a two for one deal but they were chewy. This place is alright. My main complaint is lack of consistency. We got three pizzas, all with widely different amounts of cheese and sauce. Just a bunch of teenagers behind the counter that don't seem to want to communicate with customers. Their thin crust is really great, and the main reason we go there. There are usually a good amount of other toppings too, although they're often just in a pile and not well spread out. I feel like we never really know what we're going to get, and that's frustrating. read more

My daughter and I got sick off this pizza. I called to tell them the bacon was raw and that we got sick. They told me there was no way the bacon was raw because it comes precooked. Ok, so if we got sick immediately, then it must have been food poisoning, because getting sick from a few CUBES of bacon fat does not make you sick. It seems the bacon was placed under the cheese, steaming it so it didn't look cooked and wasn't at all crisp. I didn't even complain about the chicken wings. I ordered them extra crispy and the skin had the texture of boiled chicken skin. The sauce was oily and gross. Plenty of heat, but the flavor wasn't good. The kicker, the reason I am writing this review... didn't even get a call back from the manager. They offered to send a new one but why would want more of the pizza that made me sick? The last time I had Pizza Man Dan's I thought, it's no Toppers, but for $9.99 carry out deal, it's pretty good. Now they don't have that deal and the quality has plummeted. Just came home with our order and was NOT happy with our food. We ordered pick up and our 4 cheese pizza was not fresh or cheesy. It was dry and overcooked. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a long time. Our potato wedges were not as fresh as the first time we ordered them. This was our second visit (take-out). Our order was $45 and they still charged me for a side of ranch!!! .75 EACH container or $5.00 for the big one. NO THANK YOU! I will be taking my business to Toppers instead. My family and I decided to dine out and try Pizzaman Dan's for a change. We ordered their veggie pizza with added pineapple, a side of hot wings (12 pieces), and a BBQ chicken calzone. The customer service was very good at the register. We asked if they offered military discount too. After showing my military service ID, the associate happily accepted it, and we continued waiting in the dining room. The restaurant was not too busy and very comfortable. But being the adult that I am I emailed the main office and voiced my concern, as you see my name is NOT Karen so I don't have to be negative on Yelp. In less than 12 hours a very nice employee emailed me back to address my concerns and I now no longer feel negative about this location. I feel good because I notified the right people about the problem so it could get addressed. Pizza Man Dan feels good because I did not bash their reputation being a "Karen". They didn't honor their cheese pizza 9.95 carry out special. When I explained I was overcharged online -although I put the code, they said, I PAID for it ALREADY so I can't get a REFUND. They knew exactly who I was when I called. This was once I got home after 30-45 minutes. Check your receipts guys. They were kind about it, but still, didn't honor the special. If I walked in, called it in, it would have been honored. This speaks volumes for this restaurant. Any other establishment/ store when overcharged you're typically paid back the difference. This place is very nice. The inside is very nicely done. Lots of TVs for the sports watchers. Good salad bar. Tasty pizza. Games for the kids. In Camarillo, we stopped for lunch at Pizzaman Dan's on Las Posas/Arneil. The pizza was delicious. All ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection. As good as it was, the highlight was the young lady who greeted us, took our order, made the pizza and brought it to our table. Her name is Denise. She is a rock star. As busy as she was, she had a smile for everyone and made everyone feel welcome. She did it all. At one point, there was a bit of a lull, so she bussed a couple of tables.
