Went to rock & bowl for 1.5 hours of bowling with the family. I do not recommend rock & roll pizza. The pizza has liquid grease dripping from it and the service is horrible. Made two orders. First was for some cheese steak fries to start . Then went back to order a pizza, a cheese steak sandwich, and an order of tater tots to share. The pizza and tots came out within 35 minutes. @ 45ish minutes went to check on the status of the cheese steak fries and the sandwich. To which the worker said that they are ready, he will bring them right out to us. Another 20 minutes later he finally brings the sandwich. And lets us know that his coworker dropped the original order of cheese steak fries. Would we like them to remake them? At this point we only had about 10 minutes left in our bowling session. No thank you can you please refund my $15 for the original order of cheese steak fries. Thank you. read more

My friends/family bowl multiple nights a week. Time and time again we give this place the benefit of the doubt only to be disappointed. Fries are often disappointing. Once my curly fries were salted and barely edible. Prices are high. Options aren't great. Then today sandwich was smashed and sauce all over the plate and dripping off which isn't good for bowlers. To sum it up, it's just terrible, all the way around. I really wanted to like this place. I walked in, it was empty, as in I couldn't even find the staff. I walked around and paid for bowling, asking when the pizza place opens, they said "it's open know, just order at the bar." I walk back over, nobody. I wait around a bit and see someone walking around the back, flag them down and order a pizza, half cheese half pepperoni. 30 minutes pass and I went back to ask on an ETA, being assured it was just going in the oven at that point and would be out shortly. 5-10 minutes later it was finally at my lane, I honestly think he had forgotten about it. The pizza looked gross, with sparsely scattered cheese that didn't even look melted, but I chalked it up to the bowling alleys neon lights. I picked a floppy greasy slice up and took a bite to discover the burnt bottom. The sauce was devoid of any flavor, just a water mess that mixed with the grease and dripped in the paper plate with each bite. I guess it was what you'd expect at a bowling alley but I felt disappointed and deceived by the 4 stars on Yelp. In fact we came here specifically to try the pizza and ended up bowling as well. After the first bite I thought to myself that I had paid for it, $25 + tip. I was also hungry, and so I ate 3 slices. I figured if I could get 3 slices down I guess it's worth 2 stars. However a few hours later my stomach was angry with me, it audibly let me know how upset it was, and I fear it's retribution for what I put in it. The place is old, has that old bowling alley smell, and is in need of renovating. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating. read more

2.5 stars. I've now had three full pies fresh out of the oven on three separate occasions, so I think I've gotten a representative sample of their pizzas. The best way I can describe the pizza is that it's bland and lifeless. The oven provides an adequate bake, so that's not the issue. The basic combination of crust, sauce and cheese is lacking. Maybe they need to increase the salt in the crust, or use a better tomato product, or better cheese; it definitely needs something. You've really have had to just bowled the best game of your life while drinking a lot of beer to think that this is a 5-star pizza. It just isn't. On the most recent pizza, I decided to add some Hormel Rosa pepperoni that I had at home; the kind that curls up with tasty pepperoni juice swimming pools. I wrapped numerous slices in a paper towel and put it in the microwave for 20 seconds to give it a quick cook. Normally, this stuff is gold on any pizza, but somehow the blandness of the pizza masked it. It was like it went into a pizza-shaped black hole. As an experienced pizzamaker, I can usually come up with some suggestions to create a better outcome, but I'm flummoxed. I really would like them to do succeed. These folks do a pretty good rendition of New York style pizza, sold by the large slice (big enough to fold). The bowling alley bar venue was noisy but turned out to be a good place to watch a baseball game and have a drink. I was previously impressed with this company being able to prepare good quality hand made pizza at special events. They have pizza ovens on a trailer. Seeing them popping up with kitchen based operations was a welcomed surprise. read more

Had a sudden inkling for a Yelp foodie adventure and ended up, out of all places, in a bowling alley! And ya know what, I'm so glad I did because we chanced upon some damn good pizza. We tried THE BROOKLYN PIE which was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs. They do not hold back on the toppings here! Every bite was meaty and delicious. Cost was $24.95, but diameter of the whole pizza is a whopping 20 INCHES! This thing was massive. The NY style crust, the sauce, the cheese, the toppings -- each component was tasty individually and also worked together in perfect harmony. Call it rock & roll or whatever genre of music you want -- it was a symphony in my mouth. We also tried a CHOCOLATE CANNOLI -- yum!! I wish I had gotten 2 of them. Just a small, yet decadent treat to follow after an awesome pizza. Location is inside Harley's Bowl near the corner of Arneill & Daily, behind the 99 Cents Store. Every time we try to order from this place they come up with a reason to cancel our order. Their website says they do orders through Grubhub. Driver gets there and they tell him they no longer work with Grubhub. (that was months ago. Website still has Grubhub on it.) Tried to order while there and the girl actively avoided us. Today we ordered through Slice only to get a call half an hour later that their oven doesn't work. I get it's a pandemic. I get having issues with staff shortages. I get dealing with Karen type customers. I'm trying to be understanding. They usually have a good pizza, but lately it'd be impossible to tell because you can't actually get any pizza out of their kitchen. Avoiding this place until they can get it together. read more

I never expected to stumble on some of the most delicious pieces of pizza in a bowling alley, but Im sure glad I did!. This place is located within harleys bowling alley, but also has their own entrance for easy access. The slices are huge and the prices are more than fair! The pizza is very similar to pizza found on the east coast, which may be why I love it so much. The crust is thin like the kind you fold over and let the grease drip out. The cheese is not super thick and the sauce is very tasty. I ordered 2 slices for my bf and I, but hardly wanted to share. I will definitely be back for a whole pie. If you have the patience to wait for your order, then this place is awesome. The wait was the most painful part but once you get the pizzas, it's an unforgettable experience. This definitely the best pizza I've had in Cali since I've moved here from Long Island 6 years ago. It was authentic for sure. Great crust and sauce. Huge pies and slices just like back home.
