My first visit. I really enjoyed the pizza. They offer a very good deal for lunch. 2 slices and a drink for under $10. You can choose toppings. It comes out hot and fresh. Not dried up like some other places. Service was very friendly and cordial. Ambience is classics NY Italian pizzeria. I will be back! update... I've returned several times for their lunch special. I wanted to add that the 2 pizza slices include up to two toppings. Also I ordered their lunch sub which comes with a drink and fries for under $10... the steak and cheese which I got with onions, mushrooms and green peppers was off-the-chart delicious! The sub rolls are not the gummy out of the bag sub rolls you see at other takeout places. Theirs had a nice chew and held up well to the hot filling. The fries are standard coated fries... not my favorites, but they gave me a generous portion, so I guess I shouldn't complain... all things considered this is a much nice place to get your lunch than the hamburger drive thru's any day! read more

After 10+ years of going there, the quality of food has gotten really bad. Tonight's meal ( cheesesteak) has been by far the worst yet and size has decreased considerably. I am sure I will not eat there anymore as there is a better shop just a little further down the road. You are who you hire!! read more

Went to Tony's last evening to try one of the pasta meals as opposed to the pizza which we typically order. We ordered an entree which comes with a salad and bread as well as an appetizer. The first thing that was served was the pasta...no appetizer or salad to be seen. 3/4 of the way the main dish the appetizer shows up! Never did get the salad. We refused the appetizer and it seemed like it was a big inconvenience to refund the price of the appetizer ($9.99 + tax) Finally the server brought me a $10 bill. I had to explain to her that it needed to have the tax added to the refund and again it seemed like a big inconvenience for her. I also noticed that there was not a glove or hair net worn by anyone (not even the kitchen staff.) kind of looked like they have a bunch of teens and early 20's running the place. read more

It came out missing the cheese and the Capicolla....hubby took a few bites before he noticed. We showed the waitress and she said the Owner wanted to make him a new sub. She ended up bringing us out a 1/2 an italian sub that was hot (ewww) and wrapped in foil to go....we unwrapped it and it was HALF a sub! We were in town for a few days and always looking for a good pizza and sub place being from New York. First night our pizza was so dry and crust so hard you could not bite into it, also ordered a chicken Caesar salad which chicken was over cooked or very old and filled with tendons, croutons extremely stale and no parm cheese for salad as it's supposed to come, I ask for cheese the young girl charged me and gives me mozzarella. Two nights later we tried again, pizza ordered with extra sauce and extra cheese so pizza came out normal. However you have to pay for two extra toppings just to get a regular amount of sauce and cheese it takes to make a regular cheese pie. Now I'm not exaggerating the meatball parm sub, the smallest amount of meat I have ever seen on and sub of my 40 years, literally I think one meatball sliced thin was the total amount on sub but meatball was slimy and a shit ton of fennel I really wasn't sure what this sub actually was. It definitely tasted more like a slimy sausage sub. I wonder how they continue to stay in business. Really shame on this business for skimming and scamming the hard working consumer to add a few dollars for their own selfish reasons. read more

Had a mixed experience with Tony's. I put in an order for pickup and the woman I spoke with on the phone was unfriendly and seemed rushed. I'm sure they were very busy but I am a paying customer... I had the eggplant parm and thought it was delicious. The side salad is extremely subpar, but the bread sticks were fantastic!! Super buttery and garlicky. My husband ordered the penne vodka and they gave us the completely wrong order, giving him instead a basic penne with marinara. Unfortunately we didn't realize until we were home and were starving so he ate it anyways. It was overall bland, and certainly not what we paid for. read more

Stopped in today for a quick lunch - I wish I hadn't. I ordered the lunch special of 2 slices of cheese and a coke. Posted price was $4.30 but that's for cash price, for using a card the price is different is unposted. When I walked in the restaurant there was one man ordering at the counter. He had just finished as I walked up but the girl at the counter wouldn't even acknowledge I was there, just moved on to looking at the soda fountain. I also noticed she had open sores on her arm and was working with food (cutting pizza) - really gross. After about a 4 minute wait to order the cook finally came to the front and asked what I wanted. The pizza had an ok flavor but was super greasy. Additionally my order was to go - instead of placing in a small box or something similar, slices were placed on a paper plate, stuffed in a paper bag, and stapled shut. Not sure if this is supposed to be a cost savings measure but sure looks terrible and cheap. Between the terrible service and the mediocre food I won't be returning to or recommending this place in the future. read more

we walked in and ordered two large drinks, they were not busy so it should've been an easy in and out experience. But after we ordered, we stood off to the side of the counter to wait for our drinks. I lived in the shadows of NYC for a year, worked in the city, and I found maybe ONE pizza shop that was as good as this spot. Perfect NY style slices, TONS of topping varieties. The meatball and sausage was perfect. Prices are very good too. I did the lunch special and added toppings on to it. Staff was super friendly. The name is catchy, but doesnt live up to NY pizza. If you live in the northeast you know a name is just a name.... like here. We had a buffalo chicken pizza and an order of fried chicken. Buffalo chicken was heavy and saturated in hot sauce. Fried chicken was dry and over cooked (even the dark meat). Best pizza around! Ample seating both inside and out. Food for my family took around 20-25 minutes and everything was delivered when it should be. Appetizers first, then later our meal. We even had them come to our table and ask us how things were and refilled our drinks. Do they all look like they work Olive Garden? No. can delivery times sometimes take awhile? Yes. When you order they typically tell you the amount of time to expect. If that is too long for you to wait order someplace else. The other place may be quicker but it won't have the taste of here. My biggest downside for the place is the bathrooms. Tiny bathroom with one toilet and a sink. Barely room to turn around. Impossible to take in a child needing assistance or changing. read more

I've had the pizza here in the past...not bad but nothing to write home about. I stopped in another time for coffee and dessert while I was in Greencastle and was extremely disappointed. I ordered a cappuccino and tiramisu. My fiancé ordered a latte and cheesecake. We ordered everything for dine in and sat down at a booth. The drinks came out in styrofoam cups and both were absolutely terrible. I could only bear a couple sips of my cappuccino and threw the rest away. The tiramisu was a joke; unappealing consistency, tasted like cheap ingredients, and very doubtful It was homemade. The cheesecake was very dry and stale tasting, even if It was fresh, I don't think It would have been great...ok tasting maybe, but not what I'd expect from an Italian restaurant. I would have gotten better tasting drinks and treats at a hot dog stand then tony's. I seriously hope management can improve their coffee and dessert selections and presentations, or stop advertising It on their sign out front (that's what drew me in). Pizza is hit or miss. Sometimes it is cooked perfect and other times it's still raw and the dough is chewy. They also continue to use styrofoam containers where the hot oil of fries or sticks melts right through. So all you taste is cheap styrofoam. Use tinfoil or something. We have ordered from here before, and we've gotten home from picking it up to find that they've forgotten something. This time we called to ask for a refund for the item. Well, you would have thought we had asked for the moon! It was a $4 piece of cake that they forgot. First the girl who answered the phone seemed clueless. She put a manager on (after telling him our call was about *change*, not *cake*) who said they couldn't give refunds for online orders. This seemed ridiculous, so I asked for the general manager. I was given over to the owner Tony. First, he repeats the line that they can't do refunds on online orders. Then my husband talked to him and Tony proceeded to talk over, yell at, and ignore my husband. He actually told us that it was my husband's fault that our order was wrong! I called Menu Drive, the service that they use to do online orders, and Menu Drive confirmed that Tony's has the ability to do refunds for their online orders. Tony finally agreed to mail us a check back for the amount they stiffed us for. We'll see if it happens. Considering Tony's behavior and attitude when we spoke with him, I don't hold out much hope. It's a shame - some of their food was fairly decent, but we won't be going back there again. read more

My partner and I just left Tony's Pizza, a place we order from around once a week. We ordered two CHICKEN cheese steaks at the counter to dine in. The young man behind the counter brought us two regular cheesesteaks. I requested they make me a chicken cheesesteak as that is what I ordered but my partner reluctantly kept the beef so as to not waste food, not be too hard on the cook, and not cost the establishment we frequent often more money. The boss (I'm assuming the manager, dark hair in a blue shirt) insisted on checking the cameras and afterward came out front to announce that he can, in fact, hear us say "CHICKEN" and only then apologized for messing up our order. Slightly offended by the sequence of actions, we requested that the one regular cheesesteak be comped as we did not order it and he only kept it as a consideration to the employees. We were told he could not comp a half eaten cheese steak whether we ordered it or not and if we didn't want it we should have sent it back. He went back around the counter and proceeded to talk to his employees about how ridiculous of a request that was so loudly that we could hear him in the dining area. Extremely unprofessional, not good business practices, and I'm pretty bummed we will have to find another go-to place. read more

In the past, my wife and I would frequent Tony's because we liked to sit on their porch on nice days. The other day, we walked in and immediately turned around and walked out when NONE of the employees, including those preparing the food, were wearing masks. They also were not utilizing their outdoor space. If they are not going to take measures to show they care about me as their customer, then I am no longer going to provide them with my business. My trust in them to prepare my food safely has been broken, and so even after pandemic, we will not be returning. Sad to see that in a time when good family owned businesses are going out of business due to no fault of their own, this family owned business is not doing their part to promote good practices in their industry.
