The pizza is excellent. I have ordered on many occasions and have never had a bad pizza. I have tried both the regular cheese pizza and the white pizza. Have occasionally ordered chicken or veal Parmesan. I live nearby so I pick up when I order so I can't comment on delivery. I definitely recommend this pizzeria. Tony's has the best pizza in the Rivertown. On top of that, the salads, sandwiches, soups, and pasta dishes are top notch. I have never had a bad meal there. Best of all is the customer service. The good: Tony's offers a classic, extensive menu of pizzeria staples -- everything from pizza and pasta to veal and wedges. The penne vodka was average; I've had (much) better and worse from other nearby pizza/pasta shops. The location is also quite convenient (the small shop sits at the top of Main St) and delivery is available through Grubhub/Doordash/Uber Eats/etc. Also, they're open pretty late. The bad: The service!! The crazy wait times that many have complained about is no joke! The first time I ordered from here, service was quite prompt. Turns out I musta been lucky, because the next several times I ordered the wait (even at off-peak times) was unusually long. Finally, the side salad I received with one of my entrees was disgusting; vegetables clearly old, dirty, and not even cut up properly. The tomatoes had stems! 2/21/2024 Absolutely horrible. waited 2 hours for my food, had to call after 1.5 hours for them to say, " it was on the way". 30 minutes later it arrived everything was cold; the burger bread was soggy from sitting the patty was cold. My fried raviolis were cold as well. and I never got my coke. I called back to ask for a refund and was denied, so $30 went right into the trash. please if you read this don't waste your time. The Owner should refund me, but whoever was running the place that day, failed at his job. read more

Was visiting from California with my family for a medical conference and looking for a true NY pizza experience. I wasn't expecting much, being outside in the suburbs, but let me tell you Tony's absolutely delivered. The pizza was EXCELLENT, service was above and beyond, and the owner went out of his way to make sure my 6yo daughter, who is in a wheelchair, was accommodated with the seating. I will say there was only enough seating for a family or two, but we were lucky enough to secure a table. We also got some warm, fresh cookies for the hell of it. Also delicious. Loved this place so much I am leaving a review over a year later. If I ever get back to New York, I'm heading here ASAP. read more

I hadn't had much to eat all day and was eager to get my late night food fix on a Sunday. My usual pizza place was closed so I ordered delivery from Tony's. Their homemade mozzarella sticks were great. Usually, mozzarella sticks are basically a commodity; you can't go wrong with melted cheese and fried dough, but they are nothing to write home about. Tony's version definitely takes this dish up a notch. I loved the extra crispiness and accompanying marinara sauce. I also ordered a plain personal pizza. For a personal size, the pizza was quite large. It had classic New York style slices. I enjoyed it. The penne vodka was also very good. It included onions and had a slightly smoky flavor to it. Good size portion as well. Very grateful this place was open for my late night feast! read more

Recently moved in to The Village of Irvington. Was told by some neighbors to try Tony's. I was not disappointed. There aren't very many places I have found a Chef Salad on the menu these days and Tony's was Fantastic. Full of fresh meats and cheese. Black olives, Egg and cucumber with nicely chopped lettuce. The Pizza and wings are Great as well. I love to support local and am so happy I have a neighborhood pizzeria that checks all the boxes. Very friendly staff made me feel welcome to the Village. Ordered delivery to a local Marriot hotel. Delivered on time by a nice fella. Had a large cheese with sausage mushroom and onions. It was soooo good! Also ordered hot Buffalo wings with extra bleu cheese. Wonderful taste and spice. It's so easy to find GF pizza dough, or make it, yet most places don't offer GF pizza or buns. More importantly, not everyone can make one that's tasty and can hold up to a good sauce. I have to admit, vacationing here for a month, 15 days in, I'm super impressed with all the gluten free, and grass-fed beef options. This however is the first time I'm getting pizza. Realizing that Yom Kippur Havdala ends at 7ish on the West Coast where my Synagogue is, and that meant 10PM here, I was not prepared and NEEDED a meal waiting after fasting the last 25ish hours. (I had one tea to support my teaching at 9am, and only sips of water all day.) Not only was my 10 inch pizza enough, the sauce and toppings were generous and my crust held up like a champ!! And here's the coolest part - I needed my pizza to arrive within a 15 minute window between services, and it did!! Now I would not expect that every time; traffic, volume of orders could have easily got in the way. What I was really impressed by was the intention! After living in NYC for a year and having easy access to the best pizza around, I was really not excited about getting pizza up here in the burbs. I'm definitely no pizza connoisseur, but I just thought why waste time on pizza that isn't the best? Normally I'm not into plain cheese slices, but boy am I glad we ordered regular plain old cheese pizza. Also, the chicken tenders (or tendies as my bf calls them) are also fantastic. And they have exactly the type of French fries I love. We've been ordering from these guys all covid long, and that isn't going to stop anytime soon. Also, their tiramisu is on point. While i was waiting i saw them take my pizza out of the oven, put it in the box, left the box open and answered the phone for 5 mins until someone else had to come and finish the pizza. We opened a new Irvington business/studio (antiques) in May about a block from Tony's. I'm a 5th generation NYer from the same BLOCK in Manhattan...pizza is in my blood. Tony's is a GEM. The pizza awesome, everyone is always friendly/smiling, and yes sometimes THEY HAVE FRESH COOKIES! The MAC slice? Dear God, that slice is delicious. I'm also a youth track coach and I couldn't help but notice all the kids who wrote letters/drew pictures for Tony...it speaks volumes to the type of community person he is. Ok.... so this was an order for delivery and I was disappointed all the way around. I chose this place based on the high rating but it did not live up to it for me. To start, the order took more than an hour to be delivered and we were a quarter of a mile away. It probably would have taken longer so thank goodness we called and then we were told it's about to be on its way. Food would have probably been good if not barely lukewarm. Cheese on chicken parm sub was already no longer melted. Sub was huge to be fair. Pepperoni roll also needed reheating. Marinara sauce was the best part.
