We were passing through and stopped in just for an afternoon snack. Being from the Atlanta area having a chance to eat NY pizza can't be passed up. All I can say is WOW. They had 8 different pies made up each with different toppings and I wanted to try them all. But we couldn't so I had a slice with bacon and ranch dressing and my wife had a margarita slice. The crust was perfect! Great blend of cheese and toppings. We loved it and the slices were huge! If you're in the area you can't go wrong here. They have a pretty full menu of Italian pasta and other dishes too. Street parking and there is a lot across the street too. read more

Was visiting friends up in Westchester and arrived too early. Dumb of me, but lucky, because I stopped in at Slices Pizza to kill some time and have a slice or two, and I'm so glad I did! Best thin crust pie around . Owner Issac is a super guy. We have been taking out from here for years . His sauce is perfect and cheese distribution is just enough . Great salad options too ! I miss this place already! This review is LONG overdue! I went here about 10 plus years ago with a decent sized party the day before my sister got married. The pizza was SOOOOO GOOD (I live in the Boston area). Outside there was a DJ and the road was closed for a block party. Why can't there be something like that near me :(. I love you Slice's! I had to run errands on Friday, including lunch, and I've passed by Slices dozens of times over the years while taking the Beeline Route bus to and from appointments in Yonkers. Seeing that it had gotten good Yelp reviews, I decided to try it, and really test the food by getting my favorite pizza joint test, the chicken parmigiana wedge. The successful chicken parm. wedge relies on 4 components: an Italian bread roll, at a minimum warm, and preferably toasted; breaded chicken cutlet pieces, cooked tender; a balanced pizza sauce, and finally, enough melted mozzarella cheese to add a final layer of texture and flavor. Unfortunately, some components weren't executed well, making for a wedge that was okay, but not none I'd make a special trip for again. The wedge roll was fresh and warm, but by no means toasted. The breaded chicken was moist and tender. The sauce was disappointing, lacking in seasoning and sweet to the point of bordering on what you'd expect from a can of Hunt's tomato sauce. And finally, the cheese topping was almost Spartan. I'm not saying the sandwich was bad. It was okay. But I'm not making a trip back just for okay. Loved this pizza place! It's a gem tucked away in Hastings on Hudson. Tried the pepperoni and hawaiian slices and garlic knots. The slices were great - thin crust and New York style, and really satisfying. The garlic knots were baked perfectly and had a good garlic flavor to it. Extra points for this place because the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and because their pizza box gave information on where to get COVID testing in NYC -- thank you to this business for supporting public health! read more

We have enjoyed pizza and a few other dishes here since we moved into the area prompting our decision to order full trays of eggplant rollatini and chicken francese for a party. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! Our only regret was they were enjoyed so much by our guests, that we did not have leftovers! The owner, Issac, and his son are always very friendly and helpful. Often times, we go up to visit my husband's parents. He grew up in Hastings. This was the first time we'd been into slices; even though we drive past it every visit. I stuck with classic cheese slices and was happy with my choice. The service was good and the food was as quick as I'd expect around lunchtime. We all shared my father in law's fries, which were crisp and tasty. The pizza was as basic NY slice as I could imagine. Suits me fine since that's arguably my fav food of all time. read more

Slices is fantastic for what it is meant to be, a friendly neighborhood food spot, and yet it's much more than that. Their simple chicken soup, for example is terrifically hearty and consistent - especially on those days you're sick and need it delivered. (Their delivery drivers are prompt and clean.) You can read other reviews for the food choices, but I usually call for Calzones made they way I ask, Salads made exactly as I ask, Heroes & Pizza Pies (made the way I ask!). Want a no carb meal? Ask him for Mosco's no carb dish: Chicken breasts, with fresh mozzarella and pepperoni over a bed of sautéed spinach and garlic. There are a plethora of beverage choices and just like the old soda shops of yesteryear that the place tries to mimic (the owner loves old Coca Cola memorabilia) there are lots of new and old-time candy choices at the register. Seasonally, the owner will bring in fudge from Pennsylvania. What really makes this place great, is the sweet mensch of a man who runs it with his son and loyal staff, Isaac. Not enough good can be said about him. He remembers you and your family, he looks out for you, and goes out of his way to make sure you have whatever you need to have quick and hearty lunch, filling dinner, or pie or to for your family or function. read more

Note: I have only ever had the pizza here, so there, you have it. Very typical standard neighborhood pizza joint, kind of run down (in a good way, you know - where age speaks more about experience). Being from New Jersey this is like walking into a familiar setting (the different tables, the coke memorabilia, just enough kitsch). The pizza was good (solid). Big slices and thin/crispy. The margarita pizza was actually much better (a touch oily but a napkin solves that in a pinch). Totally cozy spot where all the locals are treated like it is Cheers the pizzeria (everybody knows your name). I have to point out that the owner (I assume that, guy with glasses in his 50s maybe) has been there every time I have been there (over the past few years when work has me up the street @ the Foodtown). He is the real deal in terms of nice. You walk out of there with a little hint of it, almost a "nice buzz". You can tell when people force niceness and then there is the genuine article. If I was local I would support this place in part just because he is so damn genuine. I rarely have that experience as an "outsider" dropping in to neighborhood jaunts (usually you feel segregated in a way from the locals, I get why but that is also why I would gladly go back to this place any time I am in town). Sure there is a fancy looking place across the way that looked bangin' but usually I only need a quick bite not a social ladder. In a town oozing with history and hipster vibe in places this place screams "neighborhood"... and I dig it. read more

Good, small town NY Pizza. Yes, I'm from Cali, so my pizza range is a little off, but I liked it. I got a chicken bacon ranch slice, based off of my sisters recommendation, and I really enjoyed it. The service was also quick, efficient, and nice. If you wanted to, you could get in-n-out in a minute, or could stay for the whole day, they can accommodate both. If I lived in the local area, I would be here wayyy tooo much, but that's okay. I'll just come here whenever I'm in town (which'll hopefully be soon) read more

Very friendly, very casual, and surprisingly great pizza by the slice, especially for Westchester. What makes the pizza stand out, especially the white and specialty flavors, is the freshness of the ingredients. They make a LOT from scratch -- much more than you'd expect, which I've only learned by asking. The crust is also quite good: you won't just throw it away. And if you order by the slice, each slice is absolutely huge: they cut XL pizzas into just 6 slices each. Recommended flavors: margherita, barbecue chicken, broccoli white. They also have a great Italian entree menu, including very good pasta dishes, and they make the best chicken caesar salad I've ever had. Delivery can take a while since they're popular, but take-out is very fast. And the huge parking lot across the street is convenient. read more

The food is very good here (not just the pizza, but everything else we've had--minestrone soup, spaghetti dishes, calzones, etc). Isaac is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Delivery is always prompt and friendly. And I've appreciated it that Slices has remained open during some of the bouts of terrible weather we've had over the last ten years. In the devastation after Hurricane Sandy, for example, they got up and running before any other restaurants in town and they were like a lifeline for the community. I wish the interior of the store was sparkling. It looks a little dingy and worn-out. But that small thing aside, it's a terrific place. read more

I really like the sandwiches here. I had a cheesesteak and fries. The meat was fantasic. A good amount of cheese, not too much, not too little. The fries are OK. They have that crispy coating, eh. The place is very clean and the staff is nice. Overall a great small town pizza place. read more
