This is a late review. I ordered the Shrimp Parmigiana that came with a side salad & bread. When the food arrived and I opened the containers, everything was fresh! The greens in the salad, herbs in the tomato sauce, bread was nice and soft. The lady on the phone suggested I try the House Dressing and it did not disappoint. The shrimp parmigiana was absolutely delicious! The portion is enough for 2 - but I was greedy & ate the whole thing, lol! Highly recommended! read more

So was in Newark area over night. Ordered from here cause I was just getting pizza and this place had the lowest delivery amount requirement. It's $10. It was a Sunday night at around 9pm. Took 55 .mins to get order. Did the order threw yelp which was kinda interesting. I got a 12 inch pie w mushrooms and an order of hit wings. PIZZA had good flavor. However like many other pizza places they don't take the time to make sure the toppings were spread evenly. (It's like the people making pizza never ate pizza before so they don't understand the importance of evenly spread toppings) also like I said I ordered wings. Did i get wings?...... no I got hot wing tenders. They were ok but def not what I ordered. I check the receipt. So all in all it was ok. We ordered mussels,italian hot dog,buffalo wings garlic knots and zapollis. Needless to say, we all got sick. The fish was spoiled, the Italian hot dog was extremely salty, the chicken was undercooked, the garlic knots were hard as a rock, the zapollis were stale and we had to wait almost 2 hours for delivery! I'm a flight attendant that frequents the doubletree newark regularly. I'm really over the horrible service i get there, so i decided to order delivery. My first choice was here at Tony's. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs because, how the meatballs are made is usually a good indicator of the quality of the restaurant. Their salad is adequate, and their marinara is properly spiced. The issue i have is their meatballs. The ratio of breading to meat is awful, if it had something else ( like onions and peppers.) it wouldn't be that way. It just tasted bland. I'm going to try their actual meat sauce the next time to see if there is a difference. I'll write back. I'm here at this hotel too often and would like a meal i would be happy with here. read more

I've been living in the Ironbound for such a long time and cannot believe it I've missed this place! Best pizza in town( small eggplant with ricotta cheese and extra anchovies$9.75) oh my! No saggy dough, baked to perfection and topped evenly. Bruschetta($4.94) fresher than Beyoncé! Well seasoned with garlicky tangy flavor, fresh baguette toasted to point. Mozzarella Caprese($8.95) awesome portion; topped with romain crispy lettuce and a made to order dressing. Customer service was patience as it was my first time ordering,delivery was on time and pie was not cold. My currently favorite place in town(among Mi Pequeno Mexico). Try the difference! read more

We were staying at the Holiday Inn by the airport and we ordered a medium pepperoni, a house salad and fried oreos. $18 delivered! We were very satisfied. Definitely try the fried oreos; a little different but good. You won't regret it. read more

I ordered from Tony's for the first time. I don't know if this is a new place but I'm so glad I found it! By far the best pizza I have tried in Ironbound. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was delicious! I also ordered wings and they were perfectly crispy, they also took my request of "flats only". Next time I will order sauce on the side instead of ordering them completely dry. The fried cheese raviolis are sssoooo good. For dessert I ordered the fried oreos and it was the perfect dessert. Their menu was pretty extensive so I can't wait to try other things on their menu. This place will become my new fave "order in" pizza place. read more

Ordered a medium pizza after arriving at Newark hotel for the night. Terrible terrible experience. You be the judge and decide if you want to give this place your business. ---809pm - ordered pizza and told "within the hour" for delivery. ---913pm - called to see where the driver was because no pizza yet. Told by guy who picked up that he had "just sent the driver out the door, any time now." ---945 - my hotel desk called for me to complain and inquire because they'd been seeing all this and couldn't believe it. ---955 - spoke to manager. She gave all the excuses about weather and being busy, zero apology. I asked for the full $11 returned to my card but she agreed to only have the driver give me $5 back as compensation for all this. Wow thanks. She said she had just sent the driver out and it'd be any time now. ---10.02pm - driver called and told me to meet him in lobby because he'd be here in "3-4 minutes." Ordered a pie of pizza for 15$ to arrive hour and half later and cold, When i called to ask the status they verified it was ready awaiting to be delivered so that's great not only are you confirming and hour later it's ready you are also confirming it will be cold upon arrival because it's waiting to be delivered. Not a fan of the Alfredo sauce. Pizza is excellent- best in the area. Love the buffalo chicken. Sort of slow but we're in Harrison so it's kind of understandable. Updating my review. Ordered last night and it took an hour and a half for delivery. Tried the personal Sicilian pizza and it was incredibly dry and the toppings were overbaked. I do not know how this place has good ratings. Not only did the pizza take an hour and 20 minutes to be delivered, when I opened the pizza box I already had a bad feeling because it didn't even look good. I had ordered half pepperoni/bacon and the other half with vegetables. The side that had the meat on it the slices were ridiculously small compared to the side with the vegetables. The they seemed to have gotten a cheese pizza and just threw some vegetables on top of the pizza. It was not tasty at all. Not to mention I got sick afterwards. Had to throw the pizza out. Second straight time that they have dropped pizza or held the box sideways as delivered over an hour later. Called them up and essentially was told that I could go blow myself and then they hung up on me. The good news is that there is a new place across the street called Tomato Mercato Pie where not only is the pizza better the service is amazing. If there could be NO stars I would have chosen that instead!!! Never again!!! Horrible experience from waiting the 1 plus hour to bring and forget our order of the XXL pizza (for someone's birthday) and then waiting in total 2 hours or so for our food and THEIR mistake to be corrected. When confronted about their mistake and asked about perhaps some sort of discount for this issue the owner seemed uninterested and had hostile attitude. When asked about his LACK OF INTELLIGENCE in customer service the owner began to curse calling me all sort derogatory names. Needless to say, he and his establishment lost business from a frequent customer- and not because he YELLED he didn't need or want my business but due to the lack of respect he has for customers and people in general-especially those in public service. read more

Called twice to find out if they were still delivering and was told both times the driver just left. The excuse? "Sorry, we got busy". First of all, the delivery time shouldn't be 45min-1hr. That's ridiculous. Second, ouch the hold button because I can hear everything in the background and the person hanging up on me.
