DO NOT COME HERE! These "tailors" will mess up your clothes, please see the attached photos. It was a female lady who did the alterations, I think she is the wife of the owner. I brought a suit jacket, suit pants and dress shirt to tailor for my sister's upcoming wedding. I do not remember the exact prices because they only accept cash. Suit jacket- shorten both arm sleeves (at the shoulder) ~$180 Suit pants- shorten the waist, shorten the leg length ~$80 Dress shirt- shorten arm sleeves ~$40 They will market themselves as capable and able to do whatever you ask of them. However, DO NOT FALL FOR THE BS. The pictures of their crap work speak for itself. When I went back to the store to confront for a refund, the lady said she could readjust the clothes but there are no refunds. There was no way I would trust her with any clothes again, the Armani suit set (pants and jacket) was $1600+. The least she could do was refund me for messing up. I had to find another tailor to salvage the jacket last minute which ended up costing me more. I learned from the next tailor that the shoulder stitching of suit jackets is one of the most difficult skills for a tailor to master. The original "tailor" lady said some BS about adjusting the shoulder because then she doesn't need to adjust the button placements on the sleeve. I quote her when she said "Not everyone can do the adjustment at the shoulder for suit jackets, $180 is cheap for this work". So not only is she incompetent, she is ignorant and a scammer. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It is really not worth messing up your clothes even if the clothes are cheap. Even the cheapest alteration here already costs around $15. That is enough to just buy new clothes without the headache. read more

This was a joke. I told the owner the problem (the shoe is too big, and my heel keeps coming out) and she came up with a bad solution (adding padding to the bottom which only made it harder to put my foot in the shoe). I kept telling her this wasn't working and I need something at the heel. Finally, she gave up and agreed with me. She told me she had a heel pad but wouldn't open up the package, and then went back to her work. Amazed how this place stays in business. read more

The zipper broke on my sons's sport backpack and I thought it would be easy for a tailor to replace but apparently not! First tailor I went to said only shoe repairs have the necessary equipment; first shoe repair I went to said he could not replace the zipper but would sew a new zipper inside the first--for $50!!! $50 for a hack job!!! At Tony's, he agreed it would not be possible to replace the whole zipper--but was able instead to replace just the zipper pull, which was the problem. Quality is quite good, it depends on your original products materials... She's usually charging shoes repair $20 and sewing clothes liked $15 or higher depending on requests... it's a fair price. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I called to ask if they are able to repair the soles on hiking boots and he said he didn't know. Then he said something which I didn't understand and I said "I'm sorry I didn't understand you" and he hung up me. I called back and I asked him why he hung up on me and he said he was Chinese. We have used Tony's alteration service for all kinds of clothes, from casual jeans to nice dresses. He always does a good job and he has a fashion designer's eye to help us determine the length, styles, and level of fitness. One thing I appreciate is his customer service-- there were a few times we had to get something altered quickly and he stayed late to finish the job for us so we can get it the same day! He's very good at form fitting dresses. I recently had an old Chinese Qi-Pao taken in to fit my daughter and he did an excellent job (see photo). For dresses and nicer pieces, the price can be high so make sure you ask and negotiate in advance. Usually plenty of free street parking in front or near the store. read more

The shopkeeper is really nice and fixes things at a very decent price. Always make sure to always call to see if he is there though. A few times I called and told him to wait for me as I got out of work late and he always does. The owner here is really sweet, although he only speaks mandarin. He understood my broken mandarin and still wanted to start a conversation with me. Not in a creepy way at all. It seems like he really cares for his customers. He told me he would fix my shoes and to come back the next day to pick them up. Since I don't live in the area, I asked if it were possible to complete before closing time and with no hesitation he said yes! He didn't charge me extra for same day service. How do I even begin. Read about some good reviews and ignored the bad reviews. Shame on me. Brought my shoes here last month. One shoe bottom was peeling. I wanted him to glue it back. This man took a look. He took the good shoe and tore out the bottom layer of my good shoe. Now he gets to repair 2 shoes. His English is so so. He speaks Mandarin. We agreed that I would come back at a certain time. When I drove back to pick up my shoes, he hasn't begin the repair. He laughed at me and told me to return in a few days. I was extremely upset with such unreliable place. Don't agree the time if it can't be completed. Recommendation: Repair your shoe some where else. read more

I came here a few years ago after the Yelp reviews. Yes, he doesn't speak English, but all the years of taking Chinese school on the weekends helped out. We were able to carry out a decent conversation. My favorite heels were practically worn out, the heel was gone and the leather was being damaged. When I came to pick up my shoe, it was all better! He added some heel and fixed my leather! I was so happy! I paid cash, can't remember if it was in advanced or not, and I told my mom about it. She went to him the following week. I had the button on my Rock n republic jeans fall off and the alteration person doesn't have the machine they said to fix it so they suggested a shoe repair place. Tony's shoe repair only speaks chinese, he was very helpful and did not need any machine to fix my button. He put in a new button for me and took about 5 min. didn't need to come back and pick it up, he did it right there and then. CHarged me 5 bucks. VERY VERY helpful and nice. I wanted to fix my bag pack zipper. So I called in to check the timings, the guy on the phone said they are open until 8pm. And I scheduled an appointment at 7pm to stop by. But when I went there, the shop was closed! I don't mind if the service is closed especially during the weekends. I understand, but if I had been informed that they were closed, I would have appreciated that. And also I would have looked for other shops. Waste of time. Learn to keep your customers happy!! I needed a pair of heels to be re-heeled the same day and I was originally asked to come back in a day or two. I mentioned that I don't live in the area and if there was a possibility of coming back the same day and I was told YES! seriously, has the weirdest hours. Hardly ever open. I've called twice to check if they were open, and they weren't. I was finally able to drop off my shoes during one of the rare occasions the door was open. Very shabby place and the owners do not speak English well. If you don't speak mandarin, be prepared to do a lot of pointing and make sure you bring out your shoes to show him exactly what you need fixed. I got a pair of boots shined and touched up and he replaced the heel. cost around $25-30. I was pretty disappointed when i got the shoes back, because the heel was not put on correctly, as you can tell the heel was replaced. I had bought a belt for my brother while on vacation and came back to realize it was too big. So, we went with the intentions of having more holes punched in it. I also had a bag with a broken strap and a pair of jeans that needed a new button. We got there and since I don't speak Chinese, used hand gesture galore to relay what needed to be done. My brother gave lots of doubtful looks throughout the whole process. But it was fine. He even was able to convince us instead of punching new holes he would shorten the belt by removing excess material (cork) by the buckle. INGENIOUS!! He rushed the job for us as brother was going out of town. My brother just shook his head in disbelieve that we were able to communicate all of that with limited english and hand motions. read more

I came here about 2 years ago after my zipper broke on one of my bags. The bag was a favorite of mine so I knew I had to get it repaired. I found Tony on yelp and went to drop off my bag a day later. He doesn't speak english at all. I had to use crazy hand gestures and repeat simple words so he would know what I was trying to get him to do, so just a head's up. My work/dress shoes usually have the soles worn down on the heels so fast that there's usually a hole in my shoe by 6 months...which is no big deal if the shoes I had were inexpensive...but recently... I bought a nice pair of Hugo Boss shoes and decided to get protection on the soles. For only $20 Gary put in a sole protector for both the heel and the front side...every subsequent sole protector add on was only $10 with a full shoe polish. I love this place!!! It is close to my house and the guy is super nice. He doesn't speak much to any English, so make sure you bring a Chinese translator. I brought my shoes in because the heel tips were wearing off! He replaced both tips for only $8. On top of that he polished my shoes and fixed the scuffs from the tips from my shoes too without extra charge. He does very good work in a reasonable time frame too. I'M A HAPPY CAMPER! :) A few months ago, I bought a pair of Circa Joan and David leather riding boots and they were a little big on me (my calves measure 12.5 inches and the boots were 15 inches in circumference). Took a shot and gave them to Tony to customize and just got the boots back today and I LOVE THEM! :) The only gripe I have is there's a small bump where his work met the original threading, but it's only a very small imperfection :) The price was pretty good too ($40). I brought a skirt here to get fixed because the zipper was broken. They took out the whole zipper and replaced it with a new one. It looks professionally done and they sowed it back up real nicely. I was surpised it was re-done so well! yay for me!! =D The place looks a little ghetto, but they do a really good job. Only cost me $12 to fix. My bf's mom told me about this place. I had a button on the side of my birkenstock clogs fall off and I couldn't wear them. I found Tony's on Yelp - I didn't know that the owner only speaks Chinese but I was lucky enough to walk in while there was another customer there that could translate. They fixed my shoes in 24 hours and it cost $8. The button looks like its always been there and the price was fantastic. The customer translating for me told me the owner was a major fashion designer in China and that he can do anything with clothes - if you have someone that can translate or if you can speak Chinese - I would think he could do any kind of tailoring and any kind of shoe repair you needed. Its a tiny storefront and the shop is not glamorous but you can tell just from dealing with the owner that he knows what he's doing. read more
