I wasn't hoping to end this experience with a bad review.. however the owner Sam reached his limits when it to came to the point of verbal abuse. 1. I brought a pair of boots to narrow the shaft and was told it was do able and of course right after mentions his quote of " i am a repair shop not a manufacturer" and charges immediately upfront.. I guess knowingly that if the outcome is bad he can speak to you any way he wants as you are obviously not going to get a refund for his messed up job. Even if you try to explain your dissatisfaction he will NOT listen and verbally attack with bad words in front of his daughter and wife and not take grant it for his messy job. Shame on you! Please do yourself a favor and don't get fooled by the 4.8 reviews on Yelp. This man has zero manners. As a collector or vintage Adidas High Tops that are often 10-20 years old I occasionally run into a problem of the soles separating on models that are heat sealed together (Adidas abandoned stitched soles on almost all models in the early 2000's) many just don't last after 10-12 years. When this happens gluing the soles back on just doesn't work because it only lasts maybe 2-3 months. The only correct fix is what Adidas used to do and should continue to do regardless of price point STITCHING! I recently brought 2 pairs in for stitching and Deluxe did a great job even taking the time to use the correct color thread for the black and white sections of the sole! read more

My only regret with working with this small business was not coming sooner. I brought my wedding shoes that I wore to my rehearsal dinner as well as a different pair for the day of my wedding here to be cleaned. I learned that I could have preemptively brought them to add certain protection coatings. Specifically, I have a pair of Louboutin shoes that I could have protected the souls better preemptively. I've been to Deluxe Shoe Repair twice now. I couldn't be happier with the quality of Sam's work. The first time I went to Deluxe Shoe Repair was to resize an expensive leather belt that had been giving to me as a gift from my late father; needless to say, the belt had tremendous sentimental value for me. I trusted Sam (the owner) to resize the belt without damaging it; not only was the belt perfectly resized, but now I can't even tell where it was cut/stitched. The belt shows absolutely zero evidence of having been altered. That's how good this man is. On a more recent visit, I asked Sam to restore my treasured Wolverine 1000 Mile boots. They had been sitting in my closet collecting dust for a number of years. I was a little hesitant to pay the price that Sam was asking for the restoration, but I immediately changed my attitude about that when I saw the result of his work: the boots now shine like they're new. I almost don't want to wear them because they look so damn good. I am beyond thrilled with the results. He wasn't kidding when he said I would be "shocked" to see what he could do. I brought in a small briefcase that needed metal feet added to the bottom and when Sam told me the price, it was more than i wanted to spend. He explained the labor involved with take the lining apart and adding the feet and replacing the lining which i understood but i was hoping the price would be less. He was kind enough to give me an alternative so the price could be lower which was so understanding and kind of him. Ultimately, I decided on the first option and I'm so happy I did. He said it would take a week but I needed it for a business trip in 4 days and not only did he get it done so I could take the bag with me, the bag was flawless and looked original with the metal feet. He really does beautiful work and I know the bag will last me a long time. I also brought in a pair of white sneakers that I was going to get rid due to a couple years of wear and tear but he managed to get them to look so refreshed! Unreliable, untrustworthy, I wouldn't give this business a dime. I brought him my vintage Louis Vuitton Nomad bag to see what he could do about all the marks. I left my LV lock in the zip pocket and I picked it up empty. They insisted there was never anything in there. He also couldn't really explain what the process is like to "renew" the bag. I specifically didn't want paint, but he basically painted my bag... I understand it's a difficult leather to "renew", but I would've appeciated a more throrough explanation for such a big change. The owner was rude from the moment I entered the shop, refused to provide service when he found out I was dropping off for someone else, and made assumptions about my role and worth based on my race. When I explained that I was there to drop off shoes on behalf of my employer, he abruptly walked away, left me standing alone in the front of the store, and told me that my boss could "come bring her own shoes" or that I should "go elsewhere." No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. I left feeling dismissed and humiliated, not because of what I asked for but because of how I look. I brought my brand new Miu Miu flats to this shop for protective soles. What I also got was a botched paint job with lint stuck to the paint and visible paint strokes. I had never asked for my brand new flats to be painted a different color, let alone painted at all. I wish I had taken a picture of the paint job done the first time I went to pick them up. I was just in disbelief and wanted them to take off the paint immediately. My shoes were brand new when I brought them in and returned with a dark brown, messy paint job, so upsetting I just wanted to protect the bottoms. * Unrequested messy paint job on the edge and heel, changing the original light tan color to dark brown * I was quoted $80 over the phone, but charged $120 in-store * Paint damage is irreversible, and shoes will never look the same * Scuff mark added to the shoe during service, he said they didn't do that but he could fix it. He fixed it. * No discount or refund offered despite my clear disappointment and distress. If I could give them 0 stars I would. The owner of the shop was extremely rude, cutting me off while I explaining my concerns with the work he did on two of three bags. He put aging in my Louis Vuitton strap when I never told him to do that. I asked hkm if he could clean the bag and try and get the dents out my bag. The aging looks horrible and now the bag is ruined. My coach bag handle looks like my kids got ahold of my bag and took black paint to the handle. It's on places of the strap it shouldn't be. When I showed him the aging was on other parts of the strap he cut me off telling me I don't know my bag and it was already there. When I proceeded to literally scratch the aging off with my nail and it came right off I told him "See this is your stuff not my bag" he then cut me off again with an attitude and said okay well sorry. I asked him to please take the aging off the bag and he refused to fix his mistake of putting aging on my Louis Vuitton straps and told me to take my stuff and go and that the store was closed now. I wasn't loud with him, never cussed him out, never had an attitude back, but because he did a horrible job and I called him out about it he felt the need to be rude to me then telling me I was unappreciative. I don't appreciate this business touching something on my bag I never asked him to fix. Do not come here!! I also had to have him remove aging off my Louis Vuitton bag from places on the bag it shouldn't have been on TWICE!!
