I gave this bakery 3 stars because I ordered a banana cake for a milestone birthday. I was asked by Gina if I ever had it and I said no. This was my first visit and she said that cake was phenomenal! So I worked up my enthusiasm to my friends that this cake was going to be out of this world. After serving this cake everyone looked at me and asked I thought this was banana? I tried it and wondered if I received the wrong cake. There was no banana flavor to it. So after calling the bakery I was told the banana flavor was "subtle "and that maybe the cream cheese filling overpowered it. All in all the cake was very good if I wanted a cake that tasted like vanilla but I'd probably not order it again. I expected a more intense taste. In conclusion I got a "sorry" and nothing else. Updated Review: I was very surprised to get a message from the owner apologizing for the poor service I received.That really meant a lot to me, so I went back, and this time I had a great experience. The lady who served us was very friendly and provided us great service. So happy that I gave them a second chance. Hopefully it'll be all positive experiences from now on. Such charming decor, and amazing donuts, the service was very poor unfortunately. We just recently moved to Bend and I wanted to try this place. I love supporting local businesses and was excited to bring my family here, it turned out to be a great disappointment with the service. The lady behind the counter wasn't serving anyone it was completely empty, and she had the worst attitude. My husband and I felt like we were a burden to her, it was ridiculous. She brought us our drinks and she over filled my chai and was spilling on the table, did she apologize or clean it up.....nope. Just dropped it and turned away. I don't think I'll be returning to this place, customer service is always key. I'll continue looking for my replacement bakery I left behind in Washington. read more

Do not recommend this place at all. Horrible service. My sister ordered a cake for me over a month before my birthday, the plan was to pick up the cake October 11th. My sister called and emailed with Alyssa I believe and went over everything she wanted. A decorative, pretty and fancy cake. The cake she picked up was none of this. It was white with gold dropping and that was it. And the gold dripping was the worst dripping I have ever seen. She started crying because she was so upset. She had gone over macaroons, roses etc. as decor on the cake and the girl more than a month out said they didn't have macaroons at that time... LOL okay so it's more than a month out... what about closer to the time??? Very strange, poor communication. Also, she said other options than macaroons on top of the cake. She wanted a PRETTY cake. The cake we received was so horrible. When she showed me after she had already cried I couldn't help but laugh. I've seen the cakes and treats that this place has provided for weddings and was impressed and then when finally someone I know chooses to go through them they give such poor service. I would never recommend this place and will be sure to pass on the word to anyone who asks about it. So disappointed. Fred Meyers does better cakes for 15 bucks which I picked up for my brother a few weeks ago. Much better design and details too for no extra charge. read more

First off, the macarons are so delicious!! The texture of the cookie is spot on. I bought them when I went to pick up a cake I had ordered for our anniversary. I would go just for the macarons alone! The cake....we were disappointed. We ordered the lemon berry cake, when we took a bite we both said we felt like we had sprayed lemon pledge in our mouths. It was way to artificial of a lemon flavor. We didn't get past the first bite and threw the cake away. I should have asked when I called if the cake was made with real lemon before ordering it. Too Sweet Cakes is hands down the best. I always visit when I'm in town. I order custom cookies for major events and have them shipped. They are incredibly delicious as are the lemon bars, which are my favorite. Their mac flavors and cake options seem to be unlimited. I have never been disappointed with anything I've had there. This is my second stop at Too Sweet Cakes and both times have been disappointing. From cold coffee, to a small selection of dried out doughnuts and cookies. Service same as in most small towns. Too much chit-chat, waiting for ever in line, overpriced, unprofessional. Unlike other places in this town, they do stay open till 10pm. Don't think I'll be going back. read more

Came across this place due to a sweet tooth hankering. The customer service was wonderful! I called ahead to make sure they sold lemon bars ... yes, after my 4 visits to get a pedicure due to places being closed or the person that does feet simply wasn't on site. So yes, called ahead to confirm. The shortbread was the the normal. The lemon bar had an odd taste. The chocolate chip cookie was huge and delicious! The options they had looked incredible. Used to be a loyal customer for 5 years. Ordered every birthday cake/special occasion dessert from them. One time I had a miscommunication over the phone with what I ordered. I told the person at the front counter "oh I think we just had a miscommunication over the phone but it's okay" then a lady came charging out the back to correct me and say NO it's written right here what you ordered.... I thought, ya that's what a miss communication is. I kept ordering from them and one time received a GF/V cake made out of rubber. Tasted horrible. I thought something must have gone wrong, I order this cake every year and it's always amazing. I told them about my experience and they offered to make the next one for me for free. The next cake arrived and this time it was still rubbery but even had a crunchy overcooked layer. My mom also had a bad experience with the same lady who chewed me out over a miscommunication. No reason to attack the customers. 90% of my experiences here have been positive and delicious but these were dealbreakers. read more

Too sweet Cakes made 50 cookies for a baby Shower I was having for my Daughter. The theme was Bee's. The owner was highly recommended by my Gym friends and I was so glad I went in and ordered them from her. I gave her creative approval to do whatever she wanted and she did not disappoint.
